prices of altcoin are depending on bitcoin, now none of altcoins are so strong to be on the market without bitcoin, so i thing most probably it will happen so.

Bitcoin has a huge impact on all coins and if something bad happens with BTC, altcoins will struggle a lot.

I dont think it is possible for bitcoin to actually die with such demanding market (at least in the nearest future), and yet, if such happens, a lot of altcoins will be in a good shape because of different approach from different projects on the existing market.

we may all already know that altcoin prices are related to bitcoin prices. and we also know that bitcoin is very expensive. if the expensive bitcoin is dead how altcoin news is priced much cheaper than bitcoin. so if the bitcoin dies then altcoin too will die. so my opinion.

Crypto currency is still young and new to the world, Bitcoin being the first has done a pretty good job with public acceptance thus far.  No other coin has come close to even half of that kind of publicity as Bitcoin. Therefore if bitcoin dies altcoin as we know it may just go with it. Take bitconnect coin as a case study, immediately it went under so did the rest lending platforms.

i dont think so, i dont know if bitcoin will die in the future, but i think its not. because bitcoin is money, money is all we need, and we use money in everything we do in life. so without bitcoin how are we supposed to do transactions online? aside from credit cards.
A good opinion and I like your opinion.
I think bitcoin will never die whenever and moreover bitcoin starts worldwide and bitcoin is able to change people's lifestyles as well as bitcoin often gives a big income to followers, so I'm sure bitcoin either altcoin will never die.
Most likely it's just a mere news that people make so many people who use bitcoin and altcoi n it can sell all the coins let ain people who buy cheaply.

There is a possibility of this happening if in case the death of bitcoin was caused by a global ban on the use and owning of cryptocurrency, in which case the death of bitcoin would cause all other altcoins to die gecause without bitcoin you couldn't transform your cash into altcoins. And you can't withdraw your investment on altcoins unless you turn it back to bitcoin then withdraw it.

There is a high chance and possibolity of all altcoins dying as soon as bitcoin dies. Afrer all, you couldn't invest your money on ither altcoins like ethereum, ripple and the likes if you haven't yet invested money on bitcoin. Same goes with the withdrawing of bitcoims to turn into cash. I believe that without bitcoin all cryptocurrencies would die or not even exist.

For me maybe but most likely just altcoin as a blockball program that is too long-winded but on other platforms they will still stay. It all depends on the problem why bitcoin dies. Cool

It will drastically affect altcoin since it is the posterboy for cryptocurrency. If bitcoin inexplicably dies then the reason to believe in altcoins might falter also. But depending on the altcoin of course. There are a few altcoins who have utility in their respective projects/companies and these should help with their survival.

Bitcoin is a very popular crypto coin today, we know that Bitcoin will be very expensive in the future but I imagine if Bitcoin die, whether there will be hope for the future of altcoin? because most altcoin exchanges are to bitcoins
your opinion is highly appreciated. Smiley

In my own opinion altcoins will still go further even bitcoins will die in the future for the reason that most of the people has already invested a huge amount of money. There are altcoins today that are showing some potential like ethereum coins so probably if bitcoins will die then there will be an altcoin that will exist to replace btc.

It's not if, it's when,

Bitcoin will eventually die if it doesn't evolve, it was the pioneer and we won't forget that but with other coins on the rise with real use cases  the future for crypto looks great, for BTC not so much-

My personal prediction, bitcoin dies, ETH and other useful alt-coins rise in it's place-

In my opinion, if ever bitcoin will die then so other coins.  Simply because bitcoin is the basis of all the crypto currency.  So if bitcoin will die then alt coin will likewise die   Bitcoin is the most popular and trusted digital currency so if it dies many will not believe anymore.

I think that bitcoin wil not die, but even if sometime this is happen not all altcoins is die.
They will have less confidence, but not necessarily they will die

if the bitcoin is totally banned or it had entainted the alt in its fall but it would be in the worst case otherwise it would rather be replaced by other like ethereum for example which would become the reference currencies

Altcoins will not disappear at all, but their price will be much less. The course of all altcoins is tied to Bitcoin. So this we see such jumps in prices today

This is not necessary. If bitcoin for some reason disappears, then its place should take another successful digital coin, which will be instead of bitcoin intermediary in the exchange of other crypto currency in fiat. It can be ethereum, bitcoin cash or other crypto currency.

We can not think altcoin without bitcoin in the digital world. Bitcoin is root of all other coins. we use altcoin to earn bitcoin in digital market. so that I think if bitcoin dies altcoin die also.

If Bitcoin is banned, then most likely all the altcoins would be banned along with it. That just means trading it is prohibited but the coin still exists. Then again that brings up another problem that if all the coins are banned from being traded, where is the value at. Right now Bitcoin is really only valued to USD so if trading and exchanging it for USD is not allowed, then really the entire value of the coin is nothing.

I think altcoins will not die because there are many altcoins in the market and i think one of them will replace bitcoin so that all altcoins will not gone. But we all hope that all coins will not die, so that we can use them.

Not necessary but in long term yes, i dont know if you knew but when the bitcoin droped 20% few weeks ago, there was a few gaimers, like +60%, 80%, etc...
But the question here is, if BTC falls its price 100%, and you have for example 300 Segwit2x(1 S2X/$300), how do you sell it? i mean? where?.
There has to be one of biggest coins with some positive value, like ripple, ethereum, litecoin, because there is people who buy/sell this coins in some real places, but why buy S2X if BTC is 0? Or you can trade B2X/USD, and withdraw with credit card...i don't know...

The only reason for bitcoin to die is when nobody else is using it, when all governments in the world decided to ban it, or if there came a catastrophic event where internet will be shut down. I think it's not likely that bitcoin will die, because some country are actually adopting to it, and I'm positive that bitcoin will be there till the end of time.
