For long time investment there a number of altcoins. i think Wave, Stratis, Ethereum are very good for 1-2 year holding.

Bitquence is pumped mate, I never buy it. Already made 20x or so.

Waves is good for 2-3 year long investments. It's under development and they're working with russian government.

Ethereum is good as well. It can be $1.000 next years.

I agree in your list. Eth and Waves are good choices because they are the more reliable and good standing altcoins around in the market. Also, they have proven themselves through the fact that they were able to maintain value and withstand the wrecking effect on altcoins that the bitcoin surge has brought about to most altcoins across the market. Since your premise is for 2-3 years, I think you could also venture on newer and up-and-coming altcoins like sumokoin and the like.

Ethereum is the most formidable altcoin and promises good profit potential in addition to the risk that i think is the smallest. And speed in transaction is one of the advantages possessed ethereum.

If you are great at trading then do trading,
if you are good at understanding ICOs then invest in ICOs.

If not in both - then just hold BTC for long run coz BTC will never get less valued.

I feel that holding altcoin within 2 to 3 years will be beneficial. but, we have to look at the existing roadmap on the coin project. if it is clear, there is a possibility the price will be higher within a few years.

I think good altcoin to be detained 2-3 years ahead is XVG and STU.

Depending on how much you're willing to invest, you should really mix up your alt coin investment strategy.
If I were you and I planned on buying alts to hold for the next 2 - 3 years, I'd invest in some really cheap alts ($0.01 - $0.20) as well as the more expensive alts like ETH, LTC, XMR, ZEC, DASH and also some mid range alts like XRP, OMG, WAVES, IOTA,.

The best thing to do is research all the projects people have suggested and go with what you feel is going to be your best investment but i don't think you should invest all into penny alts or invest all into really high priced projects.

Well my strategy is to hold my altcoins but not that 2-3 years that is too long, just wait few months only more altcoins now are getting higher, ethereum now is good as well, you can see its value now. So hold it patiently.

Holding altcoin for 2 - 3 years.. you need to buy a really famous coin because i think it is gonna last forever. My top 5 coin to hold 2 - 3 years are ethereum, waves, ripple, litecoin, dogecoin.  They are a good coin and have a big potential for you to get a profit.

Waves is good for 2-3 year long investments. Deeponion maybe the best choice, deeponion release at 2017.8, but the community of deeponion is the best i have ever seem. Deeponion have a great potential of growth.

QTUM and NEO are two excellent projects. If you invest in an anonymous token, I recommend you to invest in tokenpay. If you invest in Internet of things, then I recommend you to invest in iota.

Two to three years of investment is a good decision. Altcoins are good options, bitcoin is the best one. Currently bitcoin is the highest return giving investment. It has shown this from its progress of last one or two years. But currently bitcoin is at its peak level, entering at such rate is not a good. Bitcoin will come down. In altcoins Ethereum is a good option. Since last year ethereum is showing a good progress. It is more or less simile to bitcoin. Its moves as per the movements of bitcoin currency. Currently its price is $762. You can invest in Ethereum it will have you good returns in future.
