I wouldn't say majority of the ICOs are scams but there are many projects that I think are raising a lot of money for doing very little, some don't even bother with a white paper.  But there are certain projects out there that brings breakthrough ideas that not only has great commercial potential but also huge social benefit. e.g Hadron and Swapy.

By the way, why some projects are presented with ICO and not VC? My colleagues have shown me a project (teachmeplease), they're going to invest - and I can't understand, why ICO, if the project is promising and fine already. Can you, please, explain why?

Teachmeplease is an educational service. Are they turning to blockchain?

By the way, I can't agree that educational projects could be something worth...people need something real..

Personally, I believe in ICO, but far from everything. Very many ICOs end up being scam and this undermines the trust of many. Just the project in which you want to invest your money should be carefully chosen and checked. And then the probability of running into scam will be very low

The number of successful ICO's are decreasing dramatically.  Just wanna know about successful ICO's in the fourth quarter of 2017 and if anybody still believes in  ICO's.

I know that many of them are fail to collect money to continue their project.
In personally, i still believe in ico but not all of them. We need to do more research about the project before really investing in project.

I still 50% believe,
interested in continuing to learn about Ico, the ICO can not be groped, held or seen in real, but many believe it, but some time ago I saw someone forbid the use of Bitcoin as a means of payment, although not yet officially banned. ,
Since there is no law against it,
Friends of my forex traders also began to plunge in that field, this is what makes me more curious.

why shouldn't i?when im participating ico and so far profit is what they give me,many ico now still doing great though the scams are indeed, but if we will put time and effort to make research about every coming ico that we think we want to ride on,trust me the chance of losing is only 10% .dont just believe in what the thread saying, but do your home work so you wont be victimized of the growing scam ico now

Yes there are a lot of people who still believes in ico since the kyc is already implemented and icos are become more secured because they need profiles of their investors before earning profit so they need to become more serious in their project and this is one of the good reason why ico's are near success.

Many users believe that most ICO are scammers. But I think if you carefully analyze the upcoming project, its team, road map, etc., then you can earn a lot of money in case of a successful project. Therefore, everything depends on you.
If you choose wisely in participating ICO there is a possibility you will earn coin. Many user believe some of ICO they participate are scam they didn't analyzed  the whitepaper of the project.

Of course, I still believe in ICO, I believe that this way of collecting money is much more profitable than simply a loan in a bank. I think because of this kind of situation, bankers really start hysterical. Because for loans these projects do not come to them

The trend of the cryptoworld is ICO, and without ICOs certainly it will be very hard to attract many potential investors in cryptomarket.
I believe a lot of people are still interested in investing in ICOs, because it's a lot easier for ICOs to make a profit and limit the risk.

There are too many ICO's now on the market and sometimes it is really hard to determine which one is scam and which one is legit.

You are absolutely right, because ICO is the main driving force in the crypto world, because all new ideas come to the ICO and try to collect money for themselves, which in the end most of them get to collect, of course you are right.
