If your GPU bioses are modified, did you re-apply the DAG patch after your update to 1803 ? I'm supposing you are mining with AMD GPUs.

Hi!

I have a little problem. I tried mining Bittube, but I haven't share with the Cast XMR miner. Other miners working perfectly, but this miner won't. The connection exist, the jobs recevied, the gpus working, the power consumption is high. It seems, everything ok, but I haven't accepted share.
I ran today for 30 minutes, but I got just temperature/hashrate informations and the new jobs. Other miners found dozens of shares in this time.

My Radeon driver is 18.5.1. My bat file:
Code:
cast_xmr-vega -G 0,1,2 --algo=-5 -S tube.ingest.cryptoknight.cc:5631 -u bxcAUWyAktcLcsdGA1YX7SLkqU3xjCt348An7KosnkCRfE3RoMZa3SYWyCJsp1C34oH3dyJ5dqFwigmfMbGZ844W1rRBDXW4R.50000 %*

Other strange thing: my cards hashrate are irreal high. I have 2x rx 580 and 1x rx 470. With other miners i have 600-800H/s, but this miner shows 6000-8000H/s per card.

cast xmr after ~5 minutes

Algo should be “5”, not “-5”.

will do. i have carefully reinstalled, trying several versions and folder locations several times.  My thoughts overnight were something with virus protection.  Caught animage of teh very brief window using video and freezing.  here si teh image:

you haven't configured the .bat file... it says pool is missing.

have checked and double checked the mining pool settings.  it reads

cast_xmr -S xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:14444.  Also tried it with 14443.  Only subbed in the word "west" for the default "east".  This is my second time setting this up after my initial install.  Worked fine the first time.  After windows reinstall (x 2) it has always had problems.  I have installed and reinstalled 3 different Cast versions and rebuilt the .bat file numerous times.

Any other thoughts?

Hmm... did you include your address in the command you used?

This is what my batch file looked like back when I was mining on Nanopool. It worked reliably for me.

cast_xmr-vega -a 1 -S xmr-us-west1.nanopool.org:13333 -u address %*

You can theoretically just put your address in there, change the ports, and mine some crypto. Grin

EDIT 9/29/2018 @ 8:07 PM CDT: This problem with very low hash rates is only on a HP Z400 System with an Intel X5660 processor. On my other system which has 4x Vega 56's and an Intel i3-4340 the hash rate is 7331 H/s for V8 and 7585 H/s for V7. So V8 is 96.7% of V7 or a 3.3% decline which is better than 7% quoted.

The Intel Xeon X5660 is a Westmere Microarchitecture whereas the Intel i3-4340 is Haswell Microarchitecture.

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Xeon/Intel-Xeon%20X5660%20-%20AT80614005127AA%20(BX80614X5660).html
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i3/Intel-Core%20i3-4340.html

Cast XMR's Support for the Monero V8 Network upgrade which introduces a new CryptoNight variant CryptoNightV8 aka CNv2 is broken badly for Vega 56's if they are using CPU's from the Westmere Microarchitecture. The quoted 7% hash rate drop is actually 62.7% for Vega 56's.

Quote
Support for the Monero V8 Network upgrade which introduces a new CryptoNight variant CryptoNightV8 aka CNv2. The Monero V8 update is scheduled for 18th October. In case you are mining Monero make sure to update Cast XMR before that date. Also make sure that the algo for Monero is not explicitly set to CryptoNightV7 but set to auto detect with --algo=-1 to automatically switch from CryptoNightV7 to CryptoNightV8 when the upgrade is happening. Please also note that the CryptoNight V8 algo has added complexity which decreases the hashrate up to 7% for Vega GPUs.

http://www.gandalph3000.com

I have just tested Cast XMR Version 1.5.0 (2018/9/27) on my system with 2x Vega 56's and the hash rate decrease is drastic as in 1442 H/s for V8 vs 3845 H/s for V7. That works out to be only 37.7% of the V7 hash rate or a decrease of 62.3% not the 7% stated.

I used --algo=10 for CryptoNightV8 (CNv2) and the killallasics.moneroworld.com:7777 port for testing.

On V8 I am only getting 1442 H/s on the two Vega 56's (715 H/s GPU0 and 737 H/s GPU1). While mining V8 the individual hash rates jumps all over the place from 847 to 568 on each card.

vega 56(bios 64), vega 64
1.4.0 cast_xmr-vega -S nanopool.org -u y -G 0,1,2,3,4,5 --fastjobswitch %*
1.5.0 cast_xmr-vega -S nanopool.org -u y -G 0,1,2,3,4,5 --algo=-1 --fastjobswitch %*

1.4.0 - That is all right
1.5.0 - 30 min, and... hashrate in the miner normal, but not running 1 GPU.
Statistics on the pool shows that the 1 GPU is not working, but visually the GPU gets the load and is heated. The GPU does not appear in the miner's statistics, but the common hashrate does not change (this is misleading)

This is normal?

I think his problem is running out of numbers for the -G command which (correct me if i'm wrong) is 0 through 9.

!!!! 1.5.0 !!!!
--algo=-1
"Also make sure that the algo for Monero is not explicitly set to CryptoNightV7 but set to auto detect with --algo=-1 to automatically switch from CryptoNightV7 to CryptoNightV8 when the upgrade is happening"

"I think his problem is running out of numbers for the -G command which (correct me if i'm wrong) is 0 through 9."
Where do you get this information from? As far as I know, the miner supports even 24 GPUs ...
I think, comrade needs to more fully identify the problem

PS: Can anyone clarify the situation on my question? higher...

Hi, 5 rx580 8gb and 2 rx570 4gb in same rig, when i use fastjobswitch it only switches the RX580's and the RX570's are not doing any work or finding any blocks, its excluded. its jsut sitting there mining doing Nothing under load, so hashrate says 5.5 kh/s but real hashrate is 4.5 kh/s and that shows on the mining page too.

removing fastjobswitch is proably gonna make it mine even slower? any fix to this, i have to use Pixel patcher on the driver for Custom RX570 Bios but they are detected as RX570's 4gb when i start miner, they just dont mine and this is on All your versions.

doing Bittube here.

even when removing fastjob it just made it even slower and its not using my rx570's to mine with at all. its just using the rx580's and then putting mining load and work onto rx570's that is never validated

RX570 4gb Not working with RX580 8GB's it only gives new work to RX580, and my hashrate on miner shows rx570 mining but pool shows only the hashrate from my RX580's, its always been low and simply buying these rx570's has been such a waste, its not doing any work, it only does computation error in the miner with probably outdated work as when i monitor the miner it only changes Work to the RX580's and never gives new work to my RX570's.

So always been tricked that miner shows the hashrate with rx570 and pool showing a much lower hashrate, even my rx vega X6 Rig over whireless shows the right speeds in the miner as it shows in the pool!

this, been like that over all your versions, please look into it.

GPU 1 and 2 is RX570 and they never change work.
