I tend to look at ICOs that offer their token in fiat currencies at the moment, so I can buy cheap
It used to be better to invest in ICOs that were traded in crypto before, but as the crypto fell it is better to invest in tokens that are sold for the equivalent of fiat currencies.

Your late to the party depends on the angle you looking at it from because if you look at the price of Bitcoin when it was above  $17,000 then i will say that you are not late to the party. But if look at it from when Bitcoin value was below a thousand dollars then i will say that you late to the party. Although the value of Bitcoin is not that bad for investment as there is hope for growth in Bitcoin and altcoins values.

I think really will quite late to join the party in 1-2 years. So, at this moment i feel not late to join. Just don't buy on the high , and create portfolio of 20-30 coins to make your investments not so risky.

You at least need some money and big patience, if you want to try going into long term investments like 10000$ into bitcoin or something like that

No you are not late to the party. You can still fill your bags with bitcoin, Ethereum and other altcoins. There is every possibility that they all double their prices in a couple of days. So don't regret, just buy and hold

You aren't late in terms of investing. What is important is, are you ready to invest and risk because most people are afraid to invest because they might lose there money if they put their money in the wrong investment. Just be brave and get rid of hesitation, it will only be bad when you have eagerness to invest.

You can also consider doing bounty programs and airdrops for the meantime to earn tokens while improving your knowledge in this industry.

you are not yet late for partying! although now the market is on the decline, I'm sure this is the right time for you to buy, buy with low value and earn a lot of profits by selling with high value. the current crypto price is low. and I'm not sure to suggest selling or holding, or buying. because I also do not know how the future of bitcoin. but I'm sure bitcoin will continue for the next few years, I'm sure the price will rise again. and I myself am sure to buy it, and save it until the price goes up again.

Just compare market cap of cryptocurrency and capitalization of top 5 largest companies in the world. And remember ambitions of bitcoin and altcoins and make decision.

This is not a party. You are mistaken if you think that you can receive free or easy money in crypto. From my own experience, I know that earning in crypto is hard. If you want big money you have to work hard.

Honestly, the main thing at the moment is to get deeper into the studies of the market! I'm sure there are and there will be coins that will show even bigger growth than Bitcoin and ETH.
