Yesterday nearly 6.3 BILLION ICO coins were "released" into the wild.
Now firstly a great proportion of users have struggled to actually access these coins due to 502/504 errors with their website and issues with the SMS activation codes.

Secondly there is something very interesting that happens when you transfer. ETN automatically tries to stealth the transfer by splitting the amounts. If you are sending hundreds of ETN, there are a handful of splits, thousands have more splits, and hundreds of thousands of ETN transfers will have more splits still. These splits increase the transaction size in kb, however the fee pricing in their webwallet doesn't have dynamic pricing like that.

Yesterday I send three transactions of released ICO coins to the only excahnge that is currently hosting the currency. The first was small - 000s of ETN and went through within 30mins. The second was medium 00'000s and took all night to go through (8 hrs). The third is large 0'000'000s ad is still pending on the blockchain. The fee (actual for completed and estimate for pending) is all approximately the same, despite the larger transaction being SIGNIFICANTLY bigger (c.4x) than the smallest one.

So you see, either by design or accident they have managed to make a situation where whales CANNOT quickly move ICO coins to the exchange to dump and take profits from the ICO price as the miners re not picking up the transactions that equate to huge sums of ETN due to the fees being set too low.

The last 24h trades plus sell orders posted equate to less than 2% of the coins released yesterday, I am willing to bet a lot that there is much more waiting to actually get on the exchange...

This is an interesting observation. If true, this renewed my lost trust in this team.

I moved 700k in a few minutes to my own private wallets. I don't think this is true going on my own experience.

Have been trying on both laptop/mobile for some hours but nothing happened.

Someone mentioned a couple pages ago that switching from Chrome to Firefox solved the problem. I was getting the same message in Opera. Firefox worked for me on the first try.

Mobile APP was working very smoothly yesterday evening, but now it says that there is high volume of traffic across it. Wouldn't more scalable servers handle that problem, or is the problem much beyond that ?

Have there been any updates regarding the slowness/errors on the website and app?

I can log into the website, but when I update my balance it just keeps saying unable to update balance. The app for me doesn't work at all, everytime I start the app it just says something like "Sorry we're experiencing high volumes, try again later"

It was working fine for me using Firefox actually.

Of course it took some time yesterday to log in but seriously. This is IT. The more users are accessing their system, the more I/O has to be managed.
Look at the huge community of Electroneum. For every one working in IT, it was kind of crystal clear that this will happen. I managed to send my ICO coins to my secure offline wallet after 4 hours yesterday.
And I managed to buy a lot more for a really good price thanks to all the dumpers.

The ETN devs are useless all the heavy lifting is done by the Monero devs and the miners (GUI wallet for eg.), it's the marketing team that's making this coin what it is and my faith in them grows stronger every day. 

Also true. The amount of money they gathered during ICO reached 100m dollars atleast at the current value of BTC and ETH but still I dont think that they have spent much on the technical side of the project.

Has anyone accessed their ICO coins? And actually transferred them from the website to a wallet? I have same problem as legion_miracle, I'm a day one investor and this is the most awful "launch" yet. I suspect we don't see the true dump because most ICO peeps are STILL locked out of their coins.

You're name tells me we should be friends haha....I think this is exactly why we haven't seen a dump per se, yes 50% from launch was a bit of a dump...but considering many of us early investors got in well under $.01 with referrals and early adopter bonuses, I would have expected 80-90% from "re-launch" price. My bet is that most ICO coins are still locked up essentiially.

.elieve there are some people in the thread that owe me some coins as I accepted the wager....the bet was placed that HackerOne would find an error and we would not see launch until 2018...that has not happened so please pay up your losses on this bet. Let's see if we have an honest community that will come forward on this.

I believe I was one of those who said there would not be a launch until 2018. But consider the coins are not released yet, I would not say we have not seen the launch. So the bet still goes on, imo. And I don't recall the amount wagered.

What's your progress, I was able to get mine onto the exchange, went to pull my investment plus a small profit, and cryptopia doubled down on my sell However I think we could see a dip between 50-100 sats as more of the coins come onto market. Still a lot of people having trouble accessing their coins. I hope you are able to get yours resolved soon. I'm dumping everything I took back in under 150 sats

Don't you think that when they are going to release the mining in the mobile app, the transactions are going to be very slow? As the smartphones are not really mining, but computers mining it will have a lot of transactions just to transfer the coins which were mined by the smartphones to the wallets... I don't know if the network will be sustainable. I hope there will be enough miners. That's why we also need console mining to have enough power to mine it?
