Why they are taking lot of time to release the bounties and people kept asking questions about the bounties in bounty thread but no one is answering. It will take just 3 hours to send but they are taking lot of time to send the ETN coins.

The bounty management is a whole mess because no one in the team is assigned to the task apparently... There should be at least one guy in the team taking care of that to make sure everything is done properly, like in any other ICO.

Soon it will be 3 months that i'm waiting, and no one in the team takes the time to answer, i participated in 50 bounties, and  this is the first time i see this for a succesful bounty, very disappointed

To be fair, it is the holiday season, maybe people are taking vacations (I don't know, I'm just guessing).

No, i'm not just talking about 2 past weeks. And all other bounties i participated to had no trouble sending the tokens( and the right amount, not forgetting half of the work) even less succesful ones

@contraband

Does the mining in the app serve any purpose besides getting a few free Electroneum coins?

I like the idea of bringing cryptocurrencies to the majority of people this way. But it feels a bit like a waste of power (electricity) if your phone is running a mining simulation. Our phones could then at least help to calculate for cancer research or something like that.

Could you please explain a bit, what the app actually does in that area. How CPU intensive it is. And how quickly it is going to eat my battery.

Do you also have information on the iOS app?
Apple doesn’t usually take this long. Or is the app not finished yet?

Thank you and happy holidays.

I agree that if this has been going on for such a long time, that is good cause for frustration.

Don't want to be a party pooper, but mobile mining is missed concept from the beginning. What you gonna burn your battery in minutes to get 0.02ETN? When you aren't even actually mining?
Better to have coindrops and other social raffle activities than to stear hot air in voids of hype slogans. Come on be serious and focus on massive adoption and simple mobile to mobile transfer and usage ecosystem. Leave mobile mining BS aside, because it makes every other good concept of ETN look bad. Focus on name branding, adoption and anonymity advantages. Don't mention mobile mining. And yes people need desktop wallet, on-line one is slow, laggy and extremely shallow in its core and content (check NXT for comparrison).
I personally use CLI wallet that works just fine, but people need graphic app. Come on it's not so hard. I am nowhere near coin developer, but wouldn't afford such toddler like mistakes and blind roads.

Apple has different requirements than Android for apps. It is easier to get an app approved for Android than it is for IOS

155 pages in and people still think the mobile mining is going to destroy batteries...

Hint: The mobile miner IS a coin drop.

I know that, that is why It is very misleading and totally unnecessary, especially when advertising it as top feature of a coin.

Then why did you say it would burn a battery in minutes? Why would a simple drop to users of an app need enough power from the app to drain a mobile battery so quickly?

Online wallet works just fine. You can always make a paper one and transfer all your funds to be safe, and when the time comes, you can easily "upload" the offline wallet balance to your account, and then do what you want with it.

both.

To mine, use Cast XMR -I use that program with my RX 570, and 6 Vega 56, it works very fine for me-, thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2256917.0

To invest you have Crytopia for now (easy to use, intuitive interface)

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/

It has great potential, with mobile mining and console mining -plus other possible devices-.

I know that, that is why It is very misleading and totally unnecessary, especially when advertising it as top feature of a coin.

Regular, non crypto enthousiast don't give a crap about real mining. It's a way to introduce crypto to the average Joe, and give them a sense of participation without having to read through a 100 page book how crypto and blockchain works. They distribute a little bit of crypto to every person interested in crypto, but has 0 knowledge.

And the more I read on crypto, the more I realize that people simply don't want to put in the effort to learn. I've seen countless of facebook posts on bitcoin (let alone altcoins) where the topcomments are always something like "a million articles on bitcoin and I still don't know wtf bitcoin is or does" followed by 1000+ likes of people who also have no clue. That tells me that people need a more simple way to get introduced to cryptocurrency before they're willing to put in their own effort, or you'd think that once they hear about it they'll start researching it. Tell any random person what crypto is, how to obtain it, or how it works and they'll likely get lost as soon as you mention the word blockchain, then explain mining etc. They simply don't want to know all that. They WANT it to get airdropped into their phones, that's the way to get crypto by simply installing an app and pressing the "mine" button combine that with being able to perhaps spend that "mined" ETN on some android game to purchase stuff, or even something like a for example Steam purchase and people will see the value of it, and people will be hooked. It doesn't get any more simple than that.

aha, aha... how come other coins without funds managed to get it done? even fucking doge has an iOS wallet. Is that normal to you guys?
Also what android wallet? its an online wallet, a website version, which barely freaking moves. I cant send any ETN out from there even. tried to make an xmas gift for each of my family members today and all transactions failed. this is just looks fucking sad. How are you ETN fanboys not raising a fuss about this stuff? There are no necessary basics that this coin has released even. Wheres the OSX wallet??? wheres the windows wallet? fucking joke this is.

I do wish ETN would just give more answers regarding these types of issues. You raise some good points, maybe someone with more knowledge knows the answers to this.

Maybe Contraband has some better answers.
