I just tested it with random passwords: gTcv1SU0JC, XJ8wgRtjBk, pP56IdrhhS all work for me. can you provide a password that is not working ?
The only issue on github related to this, is if you have a very long password, if you still having trouble and are willing to try, please create a new ticket on github and we bring the conversation there, because this is not the right place ;-)

a super easy password went now. it is working. he did not take heavy passwords. I find that very uncertain    

like i said even a 8 character password with only the alphabet and digets would take over thousand years to brute force, its more likely that a keylogger gets your password instead of it to be brute forced

no you can leave everything as it is and keep in mind that it uses the cli in the background, so every settings are basicly for the cli applications, and whenever you have trouble or want to change you can always fall back to the official cli, because the wallet and blockchain data is compatible.

I have now made two transactions. My conclusion: Katastophe. It is far too slow. from Electronum wallet to Gui wallet about 4 minutes. From the GUI wallet back to the electroneum wallet does not matter at all. takes very long. however, dogecoin is a king of transactions. Doge is 100 times faster. That's not good. for me it is not so useful yet.

This is NOT a GREAT news  

Why isn't it a great news? I thought hitBTC is one of the big exchanges.

HitBTC is holding people balances, some deposits not showing, but you better check their twitter page and read all the comments in there.


Anyone knows the answer to this question below?
Should mining be expected to end at some point, and only the mobile devices keep giving support to the transactions?

ETN Team my advice is get listed on KuCoin forget hitBtc. Remember KuCoin go for that exchange! If Pura with no team can do it then you can that is a great exchange! Trust me on this one at least trade a bit so you can see the exchange. Good luck.

It is not up to the ETN-team to decide where ETN is listed. That's only up to the exchanges themselves. Only thing that the ETN-team can do (and they are doing so) is file requests with other exchanges. If you want ETN to be listed on your prefered exchange, spam them about it. So far, Cryptopia is probably pretty happy about ETN not listed on any other exchange because it has been their far most most profitable coin for more than a month now.

Same goes for the ever ongoing questions about the Ios app. That is also not up to the ETN-team. Spam Steve Jobs about it (or better spam his heirs cause he will probably not answer soon)

Personally I dont like HITBTC, of all the exchanges I visit I find them to have the biggest fees.
Fees to lodge, fees to exchange and fees to withdraw for anything under 1000$ worth, its too much.

your wallet files are in data/wallets and a wallet always consists of 3 files (thewalletfile.bin walletfile.bin.address.txt and walletfile.bin.keys), to recover your wallet you can use the seed, your keys or those binary files (with your password).


the speed of transactions has nothing to do with with the wallet, it depends on how many transactions are in the blockchain pool, also how much fee's your paying for each transaction. If you higher the fee, its more likely that a miner picks up your transaction for the next block. Since ETN is a monero fork and monero don't has the focus on a high transaction speed, this is also unlikely to change. With regards to listing on more exchanges,  it is important to understand that some are at breaking point.  For example, and this may have changed now, Bittrex were not accepting new customers.  As an exchange would you want to take another coin that might tip your service over the edge.  These exchanges are creaming it at the moment why take on another coin while you cannot support the coins you already have.  Bittrex traded .76 Billion dollars in that last 24 hours to put things into perspective! We just have to be patient!
