I've decided to give this mobile miner a go but don't see why Electroneum have released it.
According to the info page on the miner it says..

"Mobile phones are not built to withstand or cope with the complex calculations required to perform actual crypto mining..."

So this means there will never be a 'real' mobile miner for Electroneum, which brings me back to my original question, why did Electronium produce what is, in effect, just an airdrop service.

To get market reach and adoption, non-techy people will be able to use this, try that with a proper PC mining app Wink

I would recommend you watch one of Richards video online. This clearly explains the mobile miner approach

Why? Because the Electroneum team want to attract more people in the crypto world. It is also to make crypto more understandable and simpler to everybody. Lots of people having a smartphone may use the Electroneum app just to "mine" some ETN. They may after be interested to sell them and will look about how to do it.

Wasn't this possibility to mine ETN via your phone part of their marketing strategy? Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought that they put it that way.

Yes and more. As per the video where once the coins are in circulation people will innovate so you can spend them. Field of dreams - If you build it they will come!

I am not going to lie, I am a bit jealous of all those Android users being able to mine on their phones already. I do hope Apple allows the app soon on their store. In the meantime, the Electroneum team shared this article on their FB for those that may be interested in reading a beginners guide to mine ETN on an Android device: "Nice little mention by Forbes- https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonevangelho/2018/03/05/beginners-guide-2-ways-to-mine-electroneum-on-windows/#6f3ea343327b #ETN #Altcoin".

With a high end android device you can mine about $2 per month. I think there is no reason to be jealous.

Hi, does somebody know what's happening with Cryptopia deposit, why it isn't working?

I think there was some sort of fork in Electroneum a few days ago. It could be that Cryptopia has not caught up with this, they may not have the new wallet.

Getting 6H/s on Samsung Galaxy S5. Seems that the benchmark indicates sometimes 4, 5 or even zero H/s. It`s not that constant.
I dont expect revenues but its a cool toy to play around.
