Depends by network total hash. Give it a try, for sure you can collect few coins.

You can do pool mining and see how much you can earn per day. Solo mining is not recommended if you have a low hash power

Hi

If your CPU doesn't suppor AES-NI hash rate will be very slow. What CPU are you using?

Hi
Is it profitable to mine with my old computer quad core cpu ?if yes how much per day?

Hello, i using my Core I7 notebook (about 100 h/s) and getting 240 coins per day. So if you will mine 1 or 2 weeks and deposit mined coins for a while, you will get a good profit. Here is an instruction:

http://roicluster.miner-pools.com

That mining pool is a real fantastic thing, and allow to everyone mine the coin, even if you do no have a large capacities.

Hi
Is it profitable to mine with my old computer quad core cpu ?if yes how much per day?

Short answer:
Yes and 240ish (some days more, other days less)

Slightly longer answer:
Depends on the processor, OS and if you mining as part of the cluster or a pool.

Long answer:
I'm still researching as I'm playing with various setups such as virtual machines, laptops etc but one thing I have worked out is that mining in Linux gives a better h/s than windows, even if you run Linux in a virtual machine on a windows box...

We are now testing the latest wallet release on the main blockchain. If everything goes good we will release it in the next few days.

What to expect?

We have preserved the term deposit rates prior to the fork. This means their is parallel code running for users. Coins term deposited before the fork will continue as they were. Post-fork coins will term deposit at the new corrected rate that is what we anticipated at launch.

POS coins before the fork will move to the new POS APR exactly at the fork block. The new POS APR has been changed from the launch POS APR and you will be happy with that change as it has increased from the target 17% APR.

The new wallet will be available for download and use before the fork however it will be in read only mode. This means you can use your existing wallet.dat and coins as normal and you can mine. If you load the new wallet before the fork you will not be able to send/receive/term deposit coins. If you need to send/receive/term deposit coins prior to the fork I recommend that you run the current wallet version.

After the fork and after we stabilize post-fork we will be doing an extensive paid marketing push at Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Bing and with banner ads.

Lastly, I have launched several new domain names for the cryptocurrency community. The first site is http://cryptocurrency-hub.com. This site will be a portal that offers crypto services such as seed nodes, coin development, coin forking, block explorers and more. I also created a new website at http://cryptocapworld.com and this is a coin market cap site that features over 1800 coins and some very cool features. We will be using it to market ROI coin and will also entertain paid marketing for other altcoins to help provide additional marketing funds for ROI Coin. Last but not least I also bought the domain. http://BigCoinEX.com and this will be a created from scratch crypto exchange for altcoins and I will notify you as soon as I have it ready to go.

I appreciate your commitment and patience as we work through these launch issues and move forward to improve our coin and grow our community! Many thanks to Brazil and China who were able to burn our shared hosting server to the ground in a matter of hours! This shows an interest in the coin and it also forced us to upgrade and improve our infrastructure to meet the current and future demands of ROI ROIN!

Great news! I am happy that the "early birds" who make long term deposits will have no changes on their rates of the old deposits!

This is the best coin to invest because of the high yield in the term deposit.

1000 coins TD for 7 years.

1 Y = 1000 @ 600% = 6000
2 Y = 36 000
3 Y = 216 000
4 Y = 1 296 000
5 Y = 7 776 000
6 Y = 46 656 000
7 Y = 279 936 000

I would not recommend term depositing coins for more than 12 months. If you do the payout stops at 12 months but the coins will still be locked. So if you term deposit coins for 7 years they will be locked for 7 years but after 1 year no more interest payout = 6 years of locked coins with no term deposit ROI...

Lol. 1 year is plenty long enough imo.

Btw, any info on when the new wallet will be out? Or is it still being tested?

New wallet should be ready for download today or tomorrow. We are going to set the fork at block 25000 instead of 20000 to allow the community more time to be ready for the fork. The dev team has worked very hard to create an updated wallet that you can install and use before the fork and that wallet will move pre-fork | fork | post-fork | so you can have a seamless / painless transition.

Stay tuned to this tread so you will be aware of when the new wallet download becomes available.

I mean if after 1 year I got my coins back but I deposit them, years after years.

Oh very cool you are are doing these calculations!

Couple of points on this topic:

Many of you are very knowledgeable and have worked with a lot of different coins that stake. When you get into the details of ROI coin it's clear the coin is very different. For example, many staking coins have to compete so the code considers wallet weight / network weight, etc. and then trying to stake is not unlike trying to mine and you are competing. Sometimes you may stake other times maybe not and even then the amount staked can vary. Some other staking coins require your wallet to be online-connected to the network-and unlocked to stake. Past all that and in terms of staking coins I am only aware of 3 coins in the world that provides for a "term deposit" in addition to the typical staking.

Now look at ROI and see some cool differences and I would call them improvements that are aimed at making the coin more of a candidate for mass adoption to common users. With ROI you know precisely how much it will stake and precisely how much it will term deposit. You do not compete with anyone to get your stake or term deposit payout. Each and every time the blockchain spits out the next block you are getting paid for your staking and your term deposit. Fact is you can literally sit and stare at you wallet and watch the available balance go up each time the next block cracks. Also, with ROI you do not need to have your wallet online and you do not have to have it connected to the network and you do not have to have it unlocked to get all of your payouts.

Why do these differences really matter? They matter for several reasons. First off from an investment perspective it sure is nice to know ahead of time what your investment will do in terms of interest gain. If you put money in a savings account or if you buy a certificate of deposit you know from ground zero what that payout is going to be. Same thing with ROI coin there is not mystery to if or when or how much you will be rewarded for staking or term depositing. Next - With this coin you have more options... you can POW mine it, you can leave coins available for use (unlocked) and get payout, you can term deposit (lock) coins and get a much bigger payout and you can do a combination of all three. It's up to you. Finally, because the coin does not require to be online-connected-unlocked to payout this makes it more user friendly to people who simply cannot have their pc running/connected/unlocked day and night. Plus, this also opens the door for other unique options that we are working on implementing after the fork - for example - an "offline" paper wallet that will store you staking or term deposit ROI coins that you could tuck away in a door and then revisit a month or year later all with not even having to worry about messing with a QT wallet at all...

I got to get some stuff done or I would go into even more things but suffice it to say this coin is different than most and the differences should be attractive to a bunch of people...

I think it would be better if the wallet would not let the users make a term deposit longer than 365 days.  Cool

Actually not a bad idea at all. Would be nice to be included in the next wallet release. Theoretically it shouldn't be too difficult am I correct?

Interesting suggestion! The best way to help us make the wallet better for the community is submit your issues here: https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/issues
