Quite happy at bitminter (see sig) with incredible low stales (less than 0.1%). But there is no merged mining there yet. If bitminter would ever come under attack, I think Ill test out p2pool.

1 week autopayment happens as part of a block being found. With no one able to mine, no blocks will be found = no payments.

Luke made it online and got it back up— unfortunately he's suffered a laptop failure while on his trip.

Luke made it online and got it back up— unfortunately he's suffered a laptop failure while on his trip. I can verify my miners are able to connect here. And ouch that sucks about the laptop. Hopefully this is not affecting his trip too much.....

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

twmz: how do you like mining at eclipse?
It's good. It's my backup to Eligius. They have merged mining, a reasonable payment scheme (DGS), and good performance (low stale rate).

I can't for the life of me get the NMC registration to work. I am sure I am messing something up. http://eligius.st/~luke-jr/nmc-register.php I input both my BTC and NMC addies, loaded up your custom bitcoind, sent the command bitcoind signmessage bitaddy "date: I auth, blah: nmc addy" as copy and poasted formt he site. the command window returns a 'key', I copy and paste it into Bitcoin-Signature. Then it says verification failed, blah... Stupid me and my winblowz.. I tried it again as I was typing this. Left it here in case anyone else has the same issue. Seems the trouble was even though I was stretching my stupid notepad window out it was still word wrapping and chopping off the last few chars of the Sig. I finally noticed on my last try that the = was missing at the end of my paste into the form and checked the entire Sig. Sure enough, missing the last few characters that got wrapped. Even though I had copied them all, the unseen windows line char was chopping it. Cheers So I must be really stupid... how do you "sent the command"?

No worries m8, its not so straight forward if you are not used to working with daemons and the command prompt. First, i assume you have the newest bitcoind? If so, run bitcoind, it will make a black window. minimize it. Now, open a command prompt and cd(change directory) to be the same as where the bitcoind is. A shortcut to this is to create a batch file with only 'cmd' in it if on Vista or Win7 in the same directory as your bitcoind. Following so far?
