Dooglus any plans for redesign of the site or some other coins?

I wonder how much would be wagered per day if the website looked better and there was some marketing going on.

Well as proven many times people seem to stick to trust and integrity of the sites. Not rly in for design.

But clam seems very bad choice for gambling. There are so many way better coins. Thats why im wondering why clam why still not any other coins.

No plans.

Why is CLAM a bad choice? It has 1 minute confirmations, is proof of stake, and has a low market cap.

JD switched from BTC to CLAM because its bankroll was too big. At one point the JD bankroll was 65k BTC. That's many times more than the entire CLAM market cap, so it can't get that big again.

The only thing I miss is a more stable CLAM client. It's annoying that the CLAM client doesn't sync the blockchain very reliably and needs to be restarted, but the bootstrap.dat file I provide mostly works around that shortcoming.

Using CLAMS is fine, it's basically like Just-Dice casino chips/shares of the "company". Some marketing may help increase how much is wagered per day, though. I remember some time ago there was a signature campaign in this forum, maybe we could try that again.

Yes i remember why you switched to it.

But seems that clam does not have anything going for it except JD. But as timetwister said its kindof JD chips now so i guess that is ok.

That is a sight to behold.  I hope that with the supply drying up, prices start to rise again.  Do you think we are at a fair value for clams right now or ...?  I was not expecting to see it go this low, but I'm glad I was around for it.

Bankroll keeps rising, average leverage keeps rising, while wagered per day keeps dropping. The expected return from investing is very low now. It's time to consider divesting.

LOL, why would you want to divest? It's better to have a small ROI then no ROI at all. At least, you're still getting staked coins, and you're making a small profit at the same time.

Right now the expected return investing is similar to just staking yourself on your wallet (you'd save 10% on the staked amount).

But you would lose the cost of the electricity and time towards making sure it was always staking.  The convenience is worth a lot and the skim off the top isn't that much.  But if you feel that way, more power to you.  For now, I will remain invested with JD and keep an eye out for cheap clams - eventually it will be worth the staking but for now my position is much to small to justify going solo.

Yeah, sure, if you are going to stake with 10 CLAM or something ridiculous (I'm not saying it's your case) then electricity costs are relevant. But once you have 5 figures of CLAM, at the current super low expected profit from investing (assuming average wagered per day is about 20 000 CLAM) it starts to make sense to just divest and mine yourself.

I wonder where does the wagered money come from. Is it mainly from people that deposit CLAM and bet them, as in conventional casinos? I'm very curious about how much of what is wagered comes from deposits and how much from investors. The bankroll seems quite stable, which may imply that some investors are actually gambling their CLAM. Or maybe they are just being withdrawn, sold on an exchange to players, who then deposit and bet.

Some ROI observations:
Two years ago (855 days to be precise) I made separate account and deposit and invested there only 1 Clam to for comparison as from my regular investor account I deposit and withdraw sometimes.
Set off-site to max every few months.
Today there are 4.062 Clams
Based on the compound interest formula the yearly Roi is about 60% (where pure clam staking is about 30%)

Shortly after introducing the concept of "offsite investment", I made another account and invested at 25x there. I haven't adjusted the offsite amount since then. It is currently sitting at just 11.21x, as the onsite amount grows while the offsite amount stays exactly constant.

The weekly returns (in the same format as in the previous post) have been as follows:

You'll notice that the 1x investor has never seen a negative week, while the most risky investor has seen several. The riskier investor has made bigger overall returns in a shorter time however, as expected.

Staking is nice, but as long as wagered keeps staying so low, CLAM will eventually drop in price. How much is bet in the casino is what mainly drives the expected return (in USD or BTC) of investing in CLAM and investing them on Just Dice. What's the point of getting many coins of a currency that keeps getting used less and less?

Are there any plans to publicize the casino, so wagered per day rises? CLAM to BTC keeps dropping and dropping. This casino could have way more action considering the fantastic reputation that Dooglus has.

Maybe it's a good idea for anyone who likes the site to put it in the signature here on forum? I'm keeping it there just to show how much fun I had in the chat, if one also goes there from time to time it's the least we can do.
