Bitcointalk Forum - Banner Ad Proposal: https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=83.0We were rejected again by Theymos, Bitcointalk Forum Admin, on June 20th https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4471292.msg40517470#msg40517470I've decided that masternode coins can sometimes be acceptable, but Biblepay seems highly deceptive. For example, you say "10% of the emission goes to sponsoring Orphans, with provable contributions," but:
- 10% of the monthly emission should be somewhere around 6 million coins, but the monthly trade volume tends to be only slightly higher than this, which is unbelievable if you're actually selling the coins in order to make donations.
- This 10% goes to a hardcoded non-multisig address with no explanation.
- "THE COIN HAS RPC COMMANDS THAT PROVE 100% OF CONTRIBUTIONS ARE SPENT THE WAY INTENDED" is completely false. The RPC command just totals up all of the payments to the hardcoded address. What happens after the coins go to that address is unexplained.
- There is no non-profit registration, receipts for donations, any info about the people who are supposedly facilitating donations, etc. Biblepay looks like a generic coin with hardcoded dev subsidy plus some probably-totally-fabricated marketing about orphans.
I posted the bad news in the forum and we had more conversation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2388064.msg40625636#msg40625636Here are my collection of notes below, is there anything more we can add? is there a better way to organize the information? This is exciting, however we are struggling this month to make our charity payments, so lets see how we do towards the end of the month with the compassion bill. 9 million bbp might not cover our existing 309 monthly orphans, and if we have a deficit this month I would recommend pulling in the horns and possibly spending all of our money on compassion next month - maybe we have to tell them to wait 6 months. Ill be very cognizant about voting No for new proposals, especially with this months BLOOM payment taking about 20% of our charity budget.

Yes, I sent him a PM explaining the reality of how reputable we are and he didnt reply which gives me the impression he is too lazy to do any due diligence. Anyway, each of his points are mildly to grossly inaccurate which should be frowned upon by a service person collecting revenue for services from branches of coins that affect our market share. Theymos: - 10% of the monthly emission should be somewhere around 6 million coins, but the monthly trade volume tends to be only slightly higher than this, which is unbelievable if you're actually selling the coins in order to make donations. Rob: This is completely incorrect. Our average trade volume was $6300 per day until c-cex went on vacation, and all you have to do is look at the volume on the date we sold the coins (which is provided at accountability.biblepay.org) and you will always see the coins were sold, and more volume. Theymos: - This 10% goes to a hardcoded non-multisig address with no explanation. Rob: Incorrect. All of our expenses are sent to a non-hardcoded address in a superblock by the person listed that "handled" that monthly expense and all are documented with receipts at accountability.biblepay.org and reconcile to the totals in the exec contributions command. Theymos: - "THE COIN HAS RPC COMMANDS THAT PROVE 100% OF CONTRIBUTIONS ARE SPENT THE WAY INTENDED" is completely false. The RPC command just totals up all of the payments to the hardcoded address. What happens after the coins go to that address is unexplained. - This is 100% incorrect again. All of our payments always have and still are completely documented with backup paperwork. Our contributions were audited up to June from Ginger (compassion) to Mike-T - who confirmed the totals to a point in time (around $120,000 at the time). Therefore now you can provably confirm all the expenses were audited and roll up to the wallet checkpoint date. Theymos: Biblepay looks like a generic coin with hardcoded dev subsidy plus some probably-totally-fabricated marketing about orphans. Rob: No actually we don't look generic at all, with our PODC cancer mining algo, POBH cpu-mining heat-algo and decentralized governance and orphan sponsorships. Why don't you invite him to post in our thread and challenge even one point and we will prove him wrong every time, and then lets ask him why we cant advertise a Christian charity that is helping 339 orphans every month?

I got my payments on PODC and I am happy , now i have two questions: 1) Rosseta seems to take a lot of network traffic and space. Question: Do I have to be "boinc"ing at least one station on Rosseta, or can I move all my boinc stations to WCG ? 2) West said in the past that we could use WCG RAC to receive payment from GByte coin. Today GByte coin asks to change WCG user name to be something else. Question: If i would change WCG user name, will it be effecting Biblepay PODC payment ? You can actually stop Rosetta and go 100% WCG. The only side element to this is for brand new users who do not have a Rosetta account. There is a small chance a person who started fresh on WCG with no Rosetta account will need to create a rosetta account to ensure the cpids match across projects, then stop boincing rosetta later. But for you, you can just turn off rosetta. The entire issue is for CPID synchronization. WCG does honor boincs 'externalcpid' field (which is what we honor also). On #2, I cant offer assistance here. Sorry been so out of touch, if anyone has answered already sorry again. The Byteball thing, basically you sign up normally at WCG, then after you're live there a day or so it will show as a cross project at Rosetta under "Projects in which you are participating". After that point, download the Byteball wallet and follow the Steem guide. Changing your name and having the Byteball wallet confirm it won't affect Biblepay, and in fact, you can (once the Byteball wallet confirms) change it back to your original name immediately thereafter.

I was in contact with youtube channel Ivan on tech, channel with almost 200k subscribers. I sent them basic info regarding BBP. They can offer some PR but I guess it is a little bit expensive taking into account our budget. They can offer live interview with the founder or artickle in toshitimes.com (201k monthly readers) or mention in daily streams.
If somebody from PR team is interrested, I can send you info via privat message.

I just saw on Twitter that the CEO of Binance updated his 'Binance Listing Tips' article: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/binance-listing-tips-changpeng-zhao/I think that this article is pretty reasonable. I don't think we are ready to be able to be listed just yet, but I feel that we are getting there step by step. Once we feel ready Rob can submit an application to get listed. I'm curious where we'll be in about half a year from now, after we strengthen our PR-efforts (which is the area I think needs our attention).

Hi,
could somebody please check whether I am running on a fork or what has happened?
I imported your address as watch-only and see the right balance (the same seen on the explorer) What wallet version do you have? # biblepayd --version Biblepay Core Daemon version 1.1.4.3 This version should be ok. It seems it's only counting the transactions from to 11th Aug onwards (which sum 55786) but not the previous ones. Try to check if your machine finds this transaction (one of the missed ones) getrawtransaction edcdb5a88e17a61d59b52e093f7535af00352faa4dc672a2517b048a9a343406 1 And also try to restart the daemon with -zapwallettxes=1 option to try to recover those unaccounted transactions.

Why don't you invite him to post in our thread and challenge even one point and we will prove him wrong every time, and then lets ask him why we cant advertise a Christian charity that is helping 339 orphans every month?
After BBP's non-profit status is in place, we should probably hire a licensed accountant or attorney to audit /certify our orphan sponsorships / payments for the past 12 months.

Yes, we should do that- we already have one item for the a crypto attorney: Certify us as a utility and not as an asset, we could also pay a CPA to certify our past expenses. We will need an accountant to file the annual tax return - we could potentially bundle two tasks for the cpa: certify expenses and file our tax return.

Does the '10% orphans' in your title mean that 10% of the supply has been pre-mined or something like that?
No not pre-mined.It means that every month (at least) 10% of our coins emitted that month are set aside for charity. Often it ends up being more than 10%. Thinking about it. Maybe the '10% orphans' in the title could be more clear. And the 'Sanctuaries' part is probably a bit overkill (outsiders only know the term 'Masternodes'). Looking at it from the outside again, they wouldn't know that 'POHB' stands for either. Those two terms would be something they would learn about when they start finding out who we are, but it's probably not something that would attract first-time visitors. What IS interesting though, is that we are participating in R@H. First half is crypto-related, second half is about the good we do. So maybe a better title would be something like this: BiblePay | Masternodes | CPU only | Curing diseases | 10% goes to charity Or: BiblePay | Masternodes | ASIC and GPU resistant | Curing diseases | 10% goes to charity Amazing analysis, I agree wholeheartedly! I would go with your first suggestion: BiblePay | Masternodes | CPU only | Curing diseases | 10% goes to charity It's less cluttered than the other one, but also: I originally found BiblePay searching for the keyword CPU
Me too. I was looking for a CPU only coin. I actually think having "GPU" in the title instead is maybe somewhat counter productive. I also like the word charity more than orphans. And you are right, R@H is a pretty remarkable thing we are doing, it should definitely be in the title. Maybe the word "Governance" could be also added somewhere in the title, because we are one of the few coins that actually has masternode governance, and it's amazing at it. And as Togo suggested, I would add the 🕇 symbol at the beginning and the end of the title. In any case, even though improving the title looks like a superfluous thing to do, I think it's very important, because I believe most of the people found BiblePay that way, especially because this thread is almost always on the first page of the subforum. Thx! Yes, I agree on your point that the title is VERY important. You want to spread information from very to-the-point in the beginning to more broad later on. A few keywords can go a long way. And I like the crosses! I didn't know that was possible I also like the title slovakia posted, but maybe it's best to make the title as short as possible while still containing much information. Maybe something like this: 🕇 BiblePay | Masternode Governance | CPU only | Help cure diseases | 10% to charity 🕇 Just digging this up from some weeks ago. I still think that the topic-title could be changed a bit to stand out more.

Couple of thoughts, these are just my opinions and not the canon belief of the coin, but I think could spawn some good discussion.
On the thought of removing the Team BiblePay requirement to PoDC. I understand we would gain more users, but I fear we would alienate our current mining base. I'm pretty sure without the team requirement it will be harder to show our value to the scientific community. Sure, we can show how many people get BBP and user BOINC, but we could no longer claim those as our unique users. While we've not been able to capitalize on the potential PR value of Team BiblePay yet, I think it is there.
We have enough exchanges: With the addition of Cryptobridge and the upcoming addition of Coinexchange, in addition to SouthXchange, QIEX and C-Cex, we have enough markets to provide stability. Sure, the last two have had some issues, but the first two should provide enough market stability. The only other exchanges we should be courting would be top 40 exchanges and many of those don't accept paid listings so for all practical purposes, I think we are where we need to be with that.
I do believe we need to seriously consider two moderate changes to the coin.
The first is to remove the Dark Gravity Wave component from the PoDC and Sanctuary payments and keep it solely for the PoBH (heat mining) payments. This would still protect against an influx of hash rate, but would allow investors to have a more dependable ROI for Sanctuaries. In the last month I've seen payments range from approximately 3900 to approximately 4600. This is a variation of nearly 20%, and adds too much complexity to the coin, skews the potential maximum emissions and I believe would be of benefit to change. It would also make Sanctuaries and PoDC miners get equal rewards, whereas right now, PoDC gets more in a day than the collective sum of winning Sanctuaries. In short, give the lucky Sanctuary 38.5% of the current block maximum, rather than the DGW Modified value.
The second is put a lower cap on the emission, preventing it from going below 200 BBP per block (before accounting for the budgetary parameters). This would mean no max supply, but would only add approximately 7% to the current theoretical maximum every 50 years. This would send a message that 1) we intended to be around more than 50 years and 2) Will still be supporting our charities and having a workable budget.
While we could discuss either of these points further down the line, I think considering them now, while we're still relatively young, would be best.

1st professional step from BBP team .. hallelujah

Bitcoin is not particularly much down in price, but the token of this project has fallen quite strongly and this indicates the attitude of developers to the project. I hope the developers do not think about it.
Do your research right and don't just drop a templated one-line post. All masternode coins (not "tokens" by the way) accumulate a 75-90% fall on average. Biblepay only a 50%.
