He wants us to sell so he can buy! Haha.

Current prices are likely the best it will get. People will be wishing they hadn't sold Megacoins cheap to buy Bitcoin, or something else. Lots of good mining ahead.  Smiley

Difficulty down to 4.3, and here come the miners...

Figured out what's going on with the pool - though fixing it I worry is going to require wiping most of the db. I'm going to retain the accounts and workers - so they will hopefully still work fine after this database rebuild Smiley

The payouts were working. I just had made a couple of changes "after the fact" - like the block reward from 50 to 125. I think this is what started the issues - then troubleshooting it - changed block reward from fixed to block and proportional to pps for testing payouts - and finally other blunders which I take upon myself.

Fortunately it looks like the majority of payouts have gone out. If you have payouts pending - please log in and manually pay them out. I will wipe DB tonight.

Well, my account shows one payout of 6 MΣC. Don't know if you wiped anything yet, and I can't check now as my internet access is quite limited, but that's not a great score for the amount of mining I did  Sad

Mike - what is your user on the pool - I'll check the transaction logs. I've wiped only potions of the database - and haven't had the time to completely fix it yet (being Monday and back to the main job grind).

Also - please keep in mind that there was a block finding problem for the beginning portion of the day ... sadly.

I switched from ViperAus startum-mining fork to the moopless fork - and that resolved the issue Smiley

However for solved blocks - aside to the math being skewed as part of this issue - I should be able to send you any owed coins manually.

There were some payouts though - and the big miners took large chunks from the wallet.

Here's my wallet balance on the server:

Wallet Balance   68.71276005
Locked for users   231.33691649
Liquid Assets   -162.62415644

The numbers are fubar due to some changes i've made POST launch of the pool (sorry!)...at least that's the best I could figure out talking with the devs on IRC (TheSerapher on freenode Smiley ).

Also to give you an idea of the payouts processed - here is a snippet:

Code:

You see the coins I've made are chump change. I even sent 22 coins to the wallet to offset the initial negative liquid assets...but the math is so fubar you see where i'm at now with liquid assets Sad (In theory this is saying that i'm OUT 160+ coins...where's the point in running a pool damn it! haha)

Ultimately - other than the several payouts i've received - I got nothing like Tequilabob and bholzer got on payouts (their e-penis is much larger than mine apparently lol  Lips sealed ) - The payouts are likely miscalculated as a result of this problem - however it should not be so skewed that it's off by huge numbers...at least I don't think so Sad

Grand Re-Opening  Grin

Pool DB rebuilt - I'm opening the pool again in a couple of minutes.

HASH contributions on gr33k.gotdns.org for testing is appreciated! I will do my best to ensure smooth sailing, and payment if there are issues. I'll put my dual 5770's on there right now, but those are clearly pathetic compared to what some (dare I say many?) people have now-a-days.

I currently have the whole transaction log dumped on to an Excel Spreadsheet.

Hit me up with your pool user id and I'll send you the transactions log to check for yourself. I'll pay out any owed coins (if any are indeed owed at this point).

If there ARE any owed coins - they will be small portions. Keep in mind the pool wallet only has:

Wallet Balance   68.71276005
Locked for users   0.00000000
Liquid Assets   68.71276005

If anyone is owed coins - it's going to be in that chunk of 68 coins Smiley (and technically I sent the pool 23 coins so technically the balance is 46 coins...which may turn out to be the pool fees and donation earnings).

People who didn't have auto payout and didn't manually get paid out might fall in to that category (or unpaid autopayment).

But ultimately - the new settings should provide stable operation - and i'm not fitzing with it this time!

Also please keep in mind that this is a PROPORTIONAL payout. This is different from PPS (Pay Per Share) and PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares).

If you're not sure about the differences, you can check out these informative threads (as I myself was not entirely clear at first):

Proportional vs Pay-Per-Share: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5934.0

General over-view of various other payout methods: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/370/what-is-a-good-mining-pool-payout-model-for-infrequent-mining

I hope to get this stabilized and establish a group of frequent miners Smiley

Long Live MegaCoin!  Grin

So the payouts working - BUT - I think the payouts may be going out via MMCFE sooner than we're being credited for the blocks themselves.

Working in the IRC room to figure out a solution right now. I think it will simply delay them until they are in - but I want to make sure - and mod the confirmation from 120 blocks to the appropriate amount for megacoin.

Bah - DB pulled from old transactions - not new blocks - 0 balance still - whew- stats generate are incorrect - will have to change wallet and wipe those stats.

How did you compile it?

On Ubuntu - grabbed that source and compiled after a couple of hiccups.

chmod 755 src/leveldb/build_detect_platform
Compiling in linux:
If you have the following error, use this command: mkdir src/obj ; sh share/genbuild.sh src/obj/build.h ; cd src ; make -f makefile.unix

make -f makefile.unix megacoind
/bin/sh ../share/genbuild.sh obj/build.h
../share/genbuild.sh: 33: ../share/genbuild.sh: cannot create obj/build.h: Directory nonexistent
../share/genbuild.sh: 34: ../share/genbuild.sh: cannot create obj/build.h: Directory nonexistent
make: *** [obj/build.h] Error 2

That note helped me - until it started complaining about sendnews.cpp and sendalert.cpp with some Sleep error. I had to change Sleep(500) to sleep(500):

    //Check
    while (vNodes.size() < 1) {
                boost::this_thread::interruption_point();
        sleep(500);
        }
        boost::this_thread::interruption_point();

I believe that was it Smiley

Also - please keep in mind that there was a block finding problem for the beginning portion of the day ... sadly.

Name is mret. It'll probably turn out the way it is. I'm not that well build either...

Sorry if I don't respond instantly. I'm not anywhere near my mining pc, and I lack a decent internetconnection for now.

I agree, but I would bet real money he is working hard behind the scenes to make Megacoin a success. We already have the best web site, and by far the best wallet. My mind has been working overtime to imagine what Kimoto will come up with next... I can only say I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time.

In the meantime difficulty is down to 3.8, and we are sitting on a huge pile of blocks. Looks like we are headed for another spike in profitability... The best time to mine Megacoin is when everyone else is mining something else, but I don't think most people have figured that out yet.  Wink

To me it's very impressive that Megacoin is sitting at #16 on http://coinmarketcap.com/
But the thing is, I can see Megacoin challenging Litecoin at some point in the near future.
Anyone else notice this site? http://megacoin.co/
Hmm, I wonder...  Lips sealed
