Its not going to last 20 years. The feds are locked into QE Forever.  if they stop the economy will crash much sooner. In the meantime, the parabolic curve of inflation will start to hit.

My health care has averaged a 50% increase in each of the last 3 years. My water bill jumped 50% this year, sewer went up 35%, Homeowner association fees 30%.... Why does a "decent" new car cost $35k? But gee they are offering 7 year loans now.  Wink  I may get a 3% raise this year or next if I'm one of the lucky ones that still has a job. Unemployment numbers are at least double what's being reported. Why do the official statistics never include the facts anymore?
Somewhere, something tells me this system isn't working.  Roll Eyes

Megacoin is a cheap hedge against $85 billion a month in IOU notes.

The system has failed - reminds me of one Megadeth song.

Behold the Tangle Mysteries! Dare to know It's truth.

- Excerpt from the IOTA Sacred Texts Vol. I

No kidding, ever notice how the figures dont match reality? Prices go up, yet "officially" its just a little bit of inflation. Lying sacks of shit.

Notice how the core inflation numbers don't include food, fuel, or other necessities? As long as the stock market keeps rising, everything is okay... Right?  Huh Wish I could invest my 401k in Megacoin.   Sad

Might be worth the early withdrawal fees.  Remember MFG, segregated client accounts are no longer safe and the FDIC doesn't cover much.

No doubt! I dont have the luxury of a 401, I have to figure out what Im going to do in my retirement days by myself. Im pretty sure that social security check wont be there, and even if it is. I doubt it will buy a jug of milk by that time.

Be glad you don't have your savings in a 401k plan where you can't control your own money. Treasury bills are safe right? I mean they are backed by the "Full Faith and Credit" of the U.S. Government...   Roll Eyes You can't earn enough interest to keep up with inflation anyway. I would feel much safer with my savings in an encrypted wallet that no bank can touch. They won't be printing 85 billion Megacoins this month, or ever.   Grin

I may have been the last on this forum to see this, but I think it is worth mentioning since the financial news usually seems to ignore this stuff.

I want to say congratulations to the CGB guys on doing an excellent job!

I'd also say it's time for Team Megacoin to show them how it's done!

Yeah - anyone know how to prepare press releases?

Would people be willing to donate to get it professionally written?

Depends on the costs. It seems one coin is going the full media release/hype route. Overall it wouldn't be a bad thing to get some attention on MEC.

Media Releases pointing to all the benefits of MEC in a non technical manner.
Professional video like "we use coins" to promote Mec

I recommend you take a look at wickedfire.com - have a look in the Sell, Buy & Trade section. There are usually some good press release services there, as well as countless other marketing services.
I've purchased articles, links, press releases, logos, web designs, and other coding projects from there many times. Nowadays I usually buy articles from Elance though. Still use WF for other services.

This one for example: http://www.wickedfire.com/links-seo/176018-press-release-done-right-premium-syndication-google-news-white-hat-authority-links.html

Yes Alien,

This is one of the reasons a lot of us are in bitcoin...  Check out my best source of info. on the finance markets Max keiser  not sure which episode.  BUT they ALL are great analysis with a touch of angry humor about the insanity of the financial-isation of the whole economy.  KEENES was wrong, REAGAN was Wrong, AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LIBERTARIAN philosophy is WRONG, TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS is WRONG and leads to deprivation, poverty and eventually social unrest.

 http://www.maxkeiser.com/

try this one:::  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GLQbAvK9Wws  Discussions of America's Banker "PRINCES", the TRIPLE TEQUILA STRIPPING of the AMERICAN PUBLIC SPACE and COMMON INFRASTRUCTURE (look at Detroit - This is the Future for America, unless Americans Wake UP!!!)  Plus he goes to hunt down Jamie Dimond of JP Morgan...

I think you guys are missing the point here...

MEC is not going to need all of that PR hype... CGB does because it will need broad adoption of various resellers, retailers and other locations to carry use of the coin...

MEC has a different destiny ahead of it... the PR will come naturally...

Plus... the more you get it in the limelight, the faster hashrate skyrockets and less coins for us in general... there is no need to make the whole world aware of MEC until the final month halving is finished.

When we get to the two year halving stretch, thats when the masses should be made aware. There is no benefit to being hasty in this.

Plus, if MEC is really the child of Mega.co.nz an its future is to be integrated into the Mega payment portal for services... it will get all the PR it needs.

I can't say I am speaking fact, since these statements have not been made by Kimoto or Dot Com themselves... but it stands to be a reasonable expectation.

Slow it down, ride out the next 7+ weeks until we hit 25 MEC blocks and enjoy your stockpiles... almost to 5 figures myself!

Thanks for posting this one. It confirms what intelligent people have been saying for years... You can't spend your way out of a financial crisis. A bit ironic as the U. S. government is getting ready to raise the debt ceiling yet again.

As we speak of top down economics failure... I would set the Bitcoin Economy Minimum Wage for general labor at about 0.10 BTC / hour- About $13.00/ hour in the USA. - which is still lower than the $16 an hour estimated IF the minimum wage had kept up with productivity in the USA or the $21/hour estimated IF the minimum wage had been linked to the MONEY SUPPLY increases since its inception.
remember this is a CASH for LABOR price without all the limits and demands and security of official wages (ie. unemployment insurance, disability, etc.)... perhaps it should be higher possibly 0.15 BTC / hour.

I would like to hear people from other nations do a similar calculation into their local currency and see if it transfers.  - digeros
