Started the BOT vs CAP poll as this coin started as a cryptsy.com chat project let us let the community decide what we should use as our trading code Smiley

I like the Bot name alot, but picked the Cap name due to it sounding more like the game the coins are obviously named after.

A Post apocalyptic digital currency.....   Say's it all  Smiley

Definitly should have been CAP instead. I'm trying so hard not to care, thats it's just a name, like stablecoin. But commmmeeee on, I go root through irradiated dumpters for caps not BOT

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=241722.0

Now if anyone at the foundation used that image that'd be a good example of infringement.... but if someone not affiliated it does it then hey it's all gravy.
It's too bad cryptsy is down, I'm about to go through raging buffout withdrawals without my caps

Feeling generous?

Feeling "CAP" would be better going forward as BOT just doesn't sound as sexy

I think Bottlecaps is a pretty good concept for a coin, although by its nature it seems like it should represent something of small value which can be quickly traded for everyday items (like a cup of coffee).  That could certainly be a good niche for the coin to inhabit in the far off future alongside the more valuable resources of Bitcoin and Litecoin.

I personally prefer CAP as the short-name and I think you should definitely steer clear of infringing any IP with use of images etc.  As long as the foundation is seen not to be infringing, noone can stop the public drawing parallels and making their own personal graphics etc.  I dont think the concept of Caps could be seen as infringing in itself as it is an old concept which has been in general use around the world.

But please, dont let Digitalindustry anywhere near your foundation/Dev team.  He seems to be a few spanners short of a toolbox.

It's CAP because , ahh there is one you trade in a serial manner or a group.

They don't trade in pairs.

CAP  one

CAPs more than one.

It's not USDs .

See.  But everyone will call them caps , that's normal.

I'm glad it at least a Proof of Stake coin think most of these little alts should start going that route.
I agree on this, imo POS is better, let's see how it goes with this coin, you never know.

Heck more security with PoS and you actually accrue interest essentially.
The problem is that you lose the anonymity, right?
Everyone knows what adress you own and what new adress you're sending from, they are all tied together, even if you wanted privacy you can't have it.

Hopefully this gets implemented right though.

Would just like to make sure everyone knows this is not correct. POS is just as anonymous as POW. In fact POS blocks are exactly the same as POW blocks. Any info that can be found from a POS generated block can also be found about a straight POW Mined block

I have heard this floating around. Just wanted to clear the air

I implemented blocking of abusive IPs on our pools and since then everything works normally. Please check and report if there are any new issues.
