How to motivate a person to work?

People who are "structural" by nature want to know their work aids the company's progress. They prefer a leader who is organized, competent, and good with details. They like to be rewarded in writing, in a timely manner, in a way specific to the task. An encouraging email is appropriate to communicate with them.

in my opinion, the best motivation is simply to do what you like.. what would you do for free...and what fun to get money for your favorite job...the question is that few people have so much verging... first of all to tell theirselves honestly what brings them pleasure and what they could be useful for society, and secondly go against the stereotypes of society...

Otherwise, working in a friendly and nice atmosphere personnaly helps me to be more productive. I am not really fan of the companies where the only thing that matters is profit

Motivating someone to work is by raising their salary. But before we have to give motivation in the form of good and bad impact when lazy or diligent in working and telling about difficult to find work. Maybe that helps a little.

There are various ways you can motivate a person and depending on the willingness of the person to absorb your motivation it works. sometimes circumstances does allow people to be motivated and push on for success and an example is hardship. But as i said earlier to be motivated relies mostly on oneself

I think the best motivation for work is salary. If you are having a big salary, it can lift your morale every month looking forward to payday! Also, don't forget to unwind every once in a while, get together with friends, hang-out with family, and don't forget to give yourself a treat.

Not all the time, because there are still some people who depends on appreciation of someone in their work as a form of their motivation. Salary may also motivate someone to work harder, but I cannot consider it as the best. And when you really felt tired, those money can't bring you up, but those someone who believes on you/appreciate all your work can. Appreciate someones work is the best way to motivate people!

So, you say appreciation for some one's work is enough, huh? But appreciation without proper compensation isn't enough either, will you still be motivated if all you can get from work is appreciations? How can you support all your needs in life? Maybe, if you are rich enough and work is just a kind of past time or hobby for you. That I can consider appreciation is the best. Nonetheless, meh.
BTW, what is your reason why you work in the first place? As for me, is to earn money so that I can support all my needs and be stable on my own until to save enough to start my own business in the future. ;-)

Lead by example. Show them something that they can emulate and make them see results. Nothing can motivate a person more than having him know he'll have a worthy reward after doing a good job. And always make it fun and less stressful

It really depends on a specific case and a person which you want to motivate. Generally speaking, the best way to push someone is to promise him/her monetary incentive.
The more money people will earn the more eager they will push themselves to achieve even greater things.

The other way is to show long distance goal to people and explain that earning enough of money in one year might not be enough to buy a house.
But you need to remember that times flies past and within few years of hard work every - even impossible at first goal, might be achieved.
