You should look his status in life. Weaknesses and strength you need to know. Then look at him as you care for him and say what do you want to happen in your life today and in the future.? Why you started to do this things.? Do you want to give up.? What is important in your life to give up or yo move on.? Question is the best way to motivate because they are the one who provide an answers in their own thinking. It will restore the entire loose to rebuild again.

you can motivate a person by inspiring him/her with your words and appreciation of all the things she/he done. help him/her improve herself to be productive and responsible. Patiently train that person and accept his weaknesses.

Motivating a person to work is not an easy task but it's worth it when one succeeds. Firstly enjoying the work that one does comes with passion. A person that's not passionate about a job will be clumsy and would always complain. A way of motivating such a person is by making the job more fun. And that person also has to see the job as fun, rather than a 'job'. And when correcting, you need to do so constructively.

Best way to motivate a person is to have him a well deserved salary, a proper treatment on him, and good incentives based on his performances. there should also a recognition on his achievements so that it can more motivate him.

A big salary was always the best motive for best work. And if a person really likes what he does, then he will also work with pleasure.

In order to motivate someone to work, one of the most common strategy is to give that person rewards and appreciation. Everyone needs to be appreciated once in a while and that boosts their morale. Rewards are also good so the peraon would continue working gard for the prize.

What do you think?Motivate is really motives our mind.Another thing, when you’re inspiring people, you’re not telling them exactly what to do or giving them precise directions. You’re empowering them to be their best, trusting that they will then do the right thing. And the right thing they do may not be what you were expecting; it may be something beyond your wildest expectations.
As though who did not regard the motivation. But I believe that for effective work you need both inspiration and someone's instructions and it gives good result

The relationship between an employee and his or her manager is a key factor in employee motivation, engagement, and retention. You can motivate employees by treating them with respect.

Great motivation for everyone when you do your favorite job. When you do not get tired of work, you are encouraged with all sorts of bonuses and so on.

Its known that when you love your job, everyday will seem to be going on a picnic. That doesn't happen very often though. People need to earn money and its seldom that we get to choose our work. If not your job, the workplace also plays a big part in motivating a person. If the environment is positive where people get well with each other, that's enough to have someone look forward to going to work

There should be some purpose, some aim that the person will be striving to accomplish. Telling him "you'll do it" is useless unless there is a reason to try his best. Start with asking him what he wants. Once he has defined his aims, you'll be able to adjust them to work.

There should be a goal, an objective and of coursea gain in the end, setting aside those negativities and being more positive. As long as you enjoy your work make it as your passion, you are motivated enough.

First you have to communicate them well. Do not just email them. Talk to them in person. Let them know your intentions. Tell them the goal. Listen to what they think. Let them be part of the goal rather than just telling them what they have to do.

By work I presume you mean a job which you need to earn money to survive.
The reasons there are so many unmotivated people in the world is that we have so many jobs which are utterly unfulfilling and have no clear reason for existing. Working at a clothes shop is not only soul destroying but there is no benefit to anyone really, this makes you pretty unmotivated and literally the only reason you still go is because of rent, bills etc.
The current system of capitalism and having to work to pay your way in life is really unmotivating, because you are trapped in a cycle with no real time to figure out what you want to do etc.
This will completely change with automation. if we allow robots to do an ever larger proportion of the "shitty" jobs then (if we do it right) the rest of humanity will be liberated to do more or less as they please. In this case I think some people will sit around and game yes, but the majority will go back to school, or do charitable work, they will find meaning in things other than a 9-5 desk job or working in a grocery store.
My short answer to the question = give people the time and ability to choose what they do for themselves, with no restrictions on needing to pay to survive
