How to motivate a person to work?

To motivate a person to work hard he/she must have the following attitude:
1. Self Confidence - failure is not a problem, its serve's as a tool to mold us to become a better person
2. Being happy - he/she must be happy to do such work everyday
3. Vocation - sometimes, we work not because of the big salary but the courage to help others and to contribute for the better society.

With this three important things, I think  those are already enough advice to motivate others.

Motivating or giving advice to someone is easy, not as easy as doing it. So what we expect from someone is not in accordance with our wishes. The important thing is we have provided motivation or direction, so that someone can be better. Give it back to the person, whether he or she is willing to do it seriously or halfway. If I am the employer, I'm going to motivate a person to work by: giving them all the benefits like: medical care, midyear bonus, incentive bonus, productivity bonus and insurance so that the employee will love to work. Additional incentive for the early bird, no late and absences will get a plaque and cash during year end.

Oh well a good reward system may do and can make a person productive. But also, no all will be motivated by it. A good working condition and a room for growth is also another way. Give them good benefits and they will be loyal also.

In order for someone to get motivated to work, one must realize first what he or she needs to do and that is to work. The thing is no matter how hard we convince someone to work, it will still have no effect on him or her what so ever because his or her priority is not on the side of working. Which is why we need to make them realize.

One way to motivate a person is by showing/offering him/her something in return. In this act we may say that you are rewarding a person in exchange for a certain task. It's quite easy to motivate someone to work. All you have to do is to give him or her something to look forward to and a reason why he or she needs to work. We will need to spend on something or for someone sooner or later, so the best idea is to give that motivation to him or her now, so that he or she will learn.

I don`t think anyone can motivate another person to work. Motivation is an individual feature. You can motivate only yourself. Motivation implies a goal. If you expain yourself that you work to achieve a goal, than you will work diligently and successfully.
