What do you think?Motivate is really motives our mind.Another thing, when you’re inspiring people, you’re not telling them exactly what to do or giving them precise directions. You’re empowering them to be their best, trusting that they will then do the right thing. And the right thing they do may not be what you were expecting; it may be something beyond your wildest expectations.
The best motivation, except money, is to develop an healthy work environment so each employer should have the felling that at work is bather then in their own home.

I am able to motivate my employees by giving them a purpose. When you accomplish that, they understand the vision better and are able to execute more strongly. In addition, by understanding their purpose and the purpose of the business, an employee is better able to understand how they fit into the big picture.

Depends on the situation of that person. If he/she is jobless, the best way to motivate him to work is to starve him. He'll eat unless he works for it.

You can motivate a person to work by inspiring him on how successful you are right now and what might happen if he will do the same. It will be hard for him at first but if you find a suitable work for that person and have a salary that can attract his attention.

If the employer is taking really good care of all of their employees and treats them fairly, if they keep educating them, they're getting competitive salary and good compensation, and if being appreciated by giving them rewards they deserve, I think every employee will be motivated to work.

Sometimes it is not about the salary you get but the situation on your work.  How is your connection with your coworkers as it is one of the factor on how someone can stay for a long time on their jobs.  And likewise how your boss treats you is one of the reason why you would stay in your job.  But if you really need a job and you are the one who needs to bring food on the plate, then yhere is no reason to become lazy.

A person's true motivation comes from his soul. Fear can not spark people. It will rather demotivate them.

Motivating people to work can be costly, yet worth it for you and the employee. You could conduct monthly awarding sessions at the office, monthly performance bonuses and incentives. I'm sure those will get people to strive hard everyday at work.

People are very different, everyone has their own priorities, goals, dreams. For some people the most important thing is a good salary, for others - the recognition and the possibility of development

Every employees get tired because they're not only doing their job at work but also doing their duties at home. So we must appreciate every little things that they do because without them, the company wouldn't be successful. Give them performance bonuses, that would help and motivate them to do better. They will strive more because of those incentives.

There are many ways to motivate a person to work, first is just compensation on what he deserve to receive. Proper recognition on his achievements, Increase salary yearly, proper incentives, good environment, individual training and last is that he should feel that he is very important to the company.

USSR thought that carrot is better than stick.
Communism theoretically supports work ethics and motivation within the computer industry by stratifying personal, public, and Party interests. However, in practice, the computer industry within Communist societies suffers from laziness, greed, and unethical behavior.
So, i guess that stick wins the motivating

all are talking about salary....in my opinion, the best motivation is simply to do what you like.... what would you do everyday for free..with fun...i think money would not matter anymore...even if the payment is less, but enough to enjoy living

Just be straight forward and tell people exactly what you want them to do at work. Motivation is all about getting people to take action, so don’t be vague. Avoid generalities like, I want everyone to do their best. Say, instead, I need you to come in over the weekend so we can get this project done on time.

Secondly set of your own example to motivate people at work. Dont ask people to do what they themselves aren’t willing to do. Don’t tell your people to work over the weekend if you’ve got plans for a spa day. Roll up your sleeves and share the load.
