every one hopes that it will went up , in the end who hold 1 bitcoin will be the rich : )

so all I have to do is buy 1 bitcoin today and I will be a millionaire? Shit I'll buy two. Thanks foxylady

In fact, you dont need to buy 1 bitcoin, you may get it for free if you have time and patience visiting free faucets and sites giving free BTC. But it could take 1 year of fun (better than wasting the time playing games  Wink)

But, its really boring, repetitive and might lose some brain cell in the process, playing games is more relax Smiley

I have never invested in anything before...and I have never, so wholeheartedly, believed in anything as much as I do this...so, I am taking big steps to stand behind this 100%... this thing is gonna be a revolution.

Indeed, bitcoin will reach $1000, I think. In fact, I think it will go several magnitudes more than that, given some time. We're still in the early speculation phase. Once adoption really starts picking up (major e-commerce companies and financial institutions, for instance), the sky is the limit. It might be a while though. But hey -- gives us more time to pick up them coins.  Smiley

1000 definitively likely, I like to think long term when the Block rewards halve to 12.5, 6.25 and so on. It will be very soon when mining bitcoins became extremly tough job - thus valued accoringly

I honestly suspect it will likely suprise all of us. It's amazing how crazy markets can go, so don't rule out anything event bitcoin at $5,000 in less then 5  years. All it take is one financial tsumani that drives alot of people in a major western country. Although that is unlikely but given how busy the FED is, I kind of wonder.

Bitcoin is in a continual up mode because supply and demand is increasing. When stocks get to a point like bitcoin is they do a forward stock split which doubles the amout of shares everyone is holding and the price is generally cut in half. Is there any way to do this with bitcoin?

If 1 percent of world population uses bitcoin it could reach $1000.

Yes.

Just start using the term "milliBitcoin" when talking about it.  It is the equivalent of a 1000:1 stock split.

The quantity of units you hold becomes multiplied by 1,000 and the value of each unit becomes divided by 1,000.

You can use the abbreviation mBTC if you like.

So if 1 BTC = $155.00, then 1 mBTC = $0.155
and if $1 = 0.00645 BTC, then $1 = 6.45 mBTC

Just like a stock split, you neither gain nor loose value with the new units:

If you had 0.34 BTC valued at $52.70...
You can equally say you have 340 mBTC valued at $52.70

If milliBitcoin sounds to technical, use a nickname.  Here are some suggestions:

  • milli-bits
  • mils
  • millies
  • mbits
  • bitmils

Feel free to come up with your own, just make sure when you use the nickname that the person you are communicating with knows what you are referring to.

I like Bitmils, these are used in Dragon Tale, a bitcoin based 3D casino

It will but who knows how long we will have to wait..

It is not sure.
It will eventually disappear before that point, or never reach it.

Very soon?
It does not seem that we are even close to 200 $ actually, so I don't understand how you can know we will reach it anytime soon.
