I've been a coin collector for years, so to me these are not "investment" pieces, or things that I just want to sell later and make a profit, for me these are beautiful silver coins that will make a really cool addition to my collection.  To me they're worth every LTC.

I think we are in the minority though.  We Collectors are strange folks.  We pay too much, but are always looking for a deal.  And we are really picky high-maintenance customers, we always want something weird and have too much input to offer on "how it should be"...

Casascius had 500 in his first silver run. They are significantly more rare. People who buy these should be buying them cuz they like the coin or the idea, not to every get their money back out of them.

I bought two myself but I'm fully aware the resale value will be lower than what I paid.

You cant say these coins or casacius coins are rare, because anyone can have them made, anyone, its not difficult. For the idiots buying these and casacius, I dont understand why they just didnt have their own made  lol

I think what he was saying is that you can have your own silver coins minted with any design you want, ive done it before, why pay the premium from someone else who did it?

Please show me where I charge more in BTC/FIAT terms than Casascius does PER COIN for his dozen (12) half troy oz silver 0.5 bitcoin rounds. Include shipping costs in both scenarios. I've done the math, my coins are actually cheaper. That isn't anything against Casasscius, he can charge what he wants.

It simply works this way:

1. I invested my own money into this. No other investors.

2. I insisted people think about buying before they buy. And if they don't want to buy, no problem.

3. If it is so easy as you say to make your own coins, please go do it, post on the forums and charge your own price please.

No one is making anyone purchase my coins. I am simply offering them up for sale at a price that I can afford to sell them at. This is not a charity project, nor is Casascius' coin project.

Critics who want to make their own coins and think they can do a better job in design and price, please do it. Talk is cheap.

They aren't worth the price to you, they are to me, you don't buy, I do.

Maybe he charges too much, maybe not enough.  The market decides.
None of your complaints are that our industrious seller of these pieces is misrepresenting them, so it is an honest and fair offer, to be accepted or not.

I also make silver and gold pieces of original design, I price mine very low.  So low I make close to nothing from them, but my goal is different.  I just want everyone to have them and don't need to make money from it.  I am happy when those that buy from me make money from them.  When the volume is high enough, maybe there will be some profit left for me, but that might be 10 or 20 years away, or never, who knows?

I wish smoothie every success, and I expect to buy more once the limit is removed. (Or if any of you want to buy some and resell them to me)

OP states registered mail, signature required... go plug that in to USPS site. I found $25 for a test shipment to CA.

It is simple: I have never scammed anyone on this forum nor any forum. Nor do I ever intend to.

Your personal information is not for me. It is for the security of your order being delivered. If I dont have registered mail in place then your package goes lost, then there is another thing to cry about.

I figured the best bet is to do what Mike does (Casascius), require registered mail so there is no funny business in the shipment process. Then once the package is confirmed I then fund the coins.
