Why people are unhappy?

People very often compare themselves with others, and this causes discomfort in life.
 
Compare everything that can only be compared: living conditions, cars, wives / husbands, friends / girlfriends, who steeper rest, etc. But if you dig deeper each case individually, in practice it turns out that everything is not so bad, and extra luxury is not really needed.

It is difficult to analyse why people are unhappy even though they have anything in their life. It depends on the individual. I believe most all people want always to be happy in their life, whatever their conditions. In other hands, happiness is the goal of human being. However, in some conditions they may feel unhappy for some reasons or even there is no caused for being unhappy. For me, being happy is not complicated, just be calm and enjoy the life. Always thankful for what God gives to us. Do not see other, concerning to what we have.

It depends on the individual. I am sure that most all people want always to be happy in their life. In other hands, happiness may become the goal all of people. In fact, in some conditions they may feel unhappy without certain caused for being unhappy. For me,  just be calm and always enjoy the life. Always thank to God for what given to us.

I think the biggest part why people are unhappy is because of social media, because in social media we always see someone living a better life than us and we tend to compare ourselves to them and that's the reason why most of us are unhappy, we are unsatisfied of what we have. We became a "Perfectionist" where we expect perfection from ourselves. Being perfect is an unrealistic goal for us to place on ourselves or others. Constantly falling short of the unattainable will continuously keep us unhappy.

I think people are unhappy because their lives are not aligned with their values.
For example the number one value in their life might be love, yet they work 16h a day and do not spend any time with their family, spouse, friends etc. Succes might not be valued high in their hierachy and therefor they are unhappy.
People rarely sit down by themselves and think what makes them happy and how can they fill their day with more activities that make them happy.

Every person is unique in their own way. There are a lot of people who are rich that can buy anything they want, people who are popular and with great power,  people who made a lot of achievements and make the people believe that they are happy but deep in their hearts at the end of the day when loneliness felt, they are unhappy. On the other hand, there are people who are less fortunate, people who need to struggle everyday just to live not for his ownself but also for their loved ones, people whom you see living in the streets not
knowing where they will spend the night to rest and sleep but when you talk to them they are thankful for their lives everyday and at the end of the day you will see the smile on their faces. So, why are people unhappy? The answer is contentment. Each person is unique, especially on how they see life in their own perspective. If every person knows how to be contented with what they have, they will learn how to appreciate things like on how to love and be loved by others. Contentment is a big factor that each peson should have and put into practice so that people will see life easier and make them happy.
