Investing on altcoins like Ripple, Dash, and Menero - is a great idea because they are also growing eventually. bitcoin price is kind of expensive if you don't have the huge budget but you can easily invest your money into these altcoins simple and easy.
Bitcoin will be the mainstream in the future and the reason is its market cap and value. Any other currency can never reach near bitcoin because for many people it is not possible to invest their money in more than one because of the limited savings. People love bitcoin and investing in it. On the other hand very little people are investing in Altcoin because Altcoin is not so famous in the market, therefore its value is also low and so is the price and profit. I think altcoin is the good option to earn good profit no doubt but if you want to be a good trader then work with according to good understanding of the market condition so the best option for this time is to invest bitcoin because bitcoin hardfork makes you able to get extra profit in term of new altcoin mean bitcoin silver and like bitcoin gold. |

What are you talking about? Don't you know that almost now investors go with alts because of bitcoin transactions fee is so high. Well, if you want really to earn a lot of money with alts you need to wait and be wise enough to predict. |

I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?
Why not both ? I mean both bitcoin and altcoins are really potential, just go find the best time to invest on this 2 coins bitcoins and altcoins. I invest on bitcoin and altcoin too, the results are good though. Combined both will get a maximum profit for me. |

I think bitcoin is we will always be more good over altcoins, why? I said that because we all know that bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency among the rest and bitcoin has a more chance that the value of it will rised or increse its value, and bitcoin help me to have many money last december 2017 because the value of bitcoin is pump even more than $19000. |

I do not own any bitcoin currently, only invested in Ethereum and a couple of more altcoins. Given the fact that the possible return in altcoins is a lot more than the one from bitcoin, it is the best bet a small-size investor could make in 2018.

It is true that some of the altcoins have given huge amounts of returns when compared to Bitcoin. For example, the exchange rates of XEM has increased by 15,000x during the last 18 months. But I have made my decision to stick with Bitcoin despite the attractiveness of big profits. Loyalty matters.

I will choice both bitcoin and altcoin, because the more the many income to have. Bitcoin is still my first choice because as long we hold the high potential of the profit. Altcoin because last week the price of bitcoin is stable so, I try to invest also in the altcoin and I enjoy on it now I earn also in both of them.

When Ethereum connection was fast and a lot of transactions were not going on, a lot of people would attack you for saying anything negative about Ethereum, now I am seeing the way Ethereum is being lambasted everywhere. Ethereum blockchain is not in trouble and transactions are still going on, you only have to make sure you use a high fee since the network is congested. The difference is a lot of people never expected it, but Ethereum was not built for high level of transactions which was caused by just some few kittens. |

It is best to start on altcoin. Altcoins do have low prices now. In a year time it may rise like bitcoin now a days. Let's just think possitive. But bitcoin is still the best when it comes to solid foundation.

Actually, there's a lot of altcoins out there that has a lot of potential and can even provide you a lot of income if you can just make your own research, buy cheap, and hold. Bitcoin price is too expensive to start investing and expect a high return in a small span of time. Altcoin can provide you this kind of income because altcoins are cheap and can be pumped easily. |

i stick to bitcoin because bitcoin is harder currency and it is increasing faster, i'm not saying that i do not like altcoins but much better for me to choose bitcoin i started to it and know it better. |

i stick to bitcoin because bitcoin is harder currency and it is increasing faster, i'm not saying that i do not like altcoins but much better for me to choose bitcoin i started to it and know it better. I think that you are a bit mistaken, because Bitcoin has only one good perspective and that's what its price is very fast as it rises and is released. So you can earn well on the price difference. But hardness is the currency really does not have, because all price fluctuations indicate a weak stability, unlike the etherium and other alternative coins. |

Altcoin can provide you this kind of income because altcoins are cheap and can be pumped easily. but the safest investment is definitely bitcoin, because total bitcoin users are so big you will avoid the risk of dead coins, whereas if you buy altcoin you still have a chance of risk coin die, besides the price drops very deep, I know bitcoin price is very expensive, but I think do not let you leave bitcoin and have used all your capital in altcoin, maybe it would be better if using some capital in altcoin, just make an investment alternative mate |

you should hold/trade both imho. i'm trying to keep about 20-30% of my portfolio in BTC as a stability fund which i'm not going to touch actually. other 20% is ETH and the rest is a lot of altcoin names, i hope some of them will make many many x's which is barely expected from BTC already.
