I want to present RAIBLOCKS to the community.Would be nice to hear some opinions about the project and if it should make it on the list.

RAIBLOCKS is a DAG coin like Byteball or Iota.

Cant say much about Byteball but if you compare it to Iota its much better in EVERY aspect.

-No ICO scam
-No bullshit MCap
-Working Tech
-No lead dev that is proud to scam people

1. Proven development team

12 people in the core team.
The lead dev is Colin Le Mahieu. He worked the last 7 years for Dell,Amd and Qualcomm and created Raiblocks in his part-time.Now he ist full time on Raiblocks.
For more information you can check his linkedIn profil.I dont know much about this stuff but Raiblocks is already working and completle new tech so i think he has profen himself.

2. Obvious use case

Raiblocks has zero fees, instant transactions and should be extremely scalabale
We will see if it can scale but i think it has the potential more then most other projects due to its tech where every user has his own blockchain and sends his coins peer-to-peer to other users.

3. Not already in the top 10

Not yet but certainly soon

Place 21 on CMC
Market Cap: $2,389,768,093          31.12.2017

4. Initial distributional method

The best i can think of...
At the beginning XRB was distributed by solving captchas
This should be the standard for every fair project.Every ICO, every airdrop(for btc holder and so on) just makes the rich richer
People from third world countries can solve captchas as fast as everybody.

5. Long term commitment and proven staying power

Cant say much about this but if you look at Colins vita and what he achied already  i have a good feeling about this.
Raiblocks first whitepaper was released 2014.

I was involved when it was $5

When it got to $30, people were saying "It will be affordable again"

When it got to $100, people said "This is a Bubble"

As it went up, they said "It will never hit $1000"

And I was one of the 1st people, like in 2012, saying it would go to $10,000 and even $20,000 and people thought I was an idiot.

BiblePay (BBP)
- 10% mined coins always go to Charity (already sponsoring 180+ Orphans monthly)
- ASIC-Resistant like Vertcoin/Groestlcoin (CPU Mining Only)
- fork of DASH (Masternode Governance Model, Budget Proposals & Voting)
- POBh Proof of BibleHash Algorithm, All Nodes are Full Nodes

Learn More: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2388064.0

Personally I'm a little uncertain if it fits the criteria or not. My concerns are:

1. Proven development team. Not sure we can conclude a development team is proven after less than six months.
2. Obvious use case. Any coin can be used for charity, and several have it as their main focus. I don't believe that a coin who's only use case is charity has much chance of wide spread adoption, and thus also will fail as a charity coin. Maybe togoshigekata can elaborate on this?

Despite my above concerns, I believe it warrants a discussion about adding them to the list or not. Arguments have been made for all five criteria, and unless they are met by counter arguments, the coin should make it to the list.

6 months is to young to be added to the list.If this coin will be added there can be added dozens of coins and that wouldnt be the sense of the thread i think.
The sense is to make a list with the best coins.Real longterm projects, fair, with a real usecase. Not any coins that is a little better then the rest. There are to many out there..

I also think they should not be added, but they made arguments for all 5 criteria so it's fair to discuss it before dismissing them I think.
I don't believe we can have any criteria for how old the coin should be to be accepted. Some coins go through a lot of development before they launch. But in this case I think they are to young to deserve the label proven. I base this on the age of the coin + one more argument that I did not make above; One of the arguments this is a proven team, was that the lead dev has 20 yours of coding experience. That is a good starting point of course, but does not make him a proven blockchain dev. We have several code monkeys in BitBay with a life long coding experience. They are very talented, but there is still a lot they don't know about blockchain. The reason that is not a problem in BitBay is that they have David to go to for guidance and code review. I don't see any experienced blockchain devs listed in the argument for BBP being proven team.

Thank you for the responses!

The Lead Developer has so far remained anonymous, but has claimed he has past experience working on another successful cryptocurrency.
If he does ever reveal himself or his past work, I will post back.

Here are details about the team he is building for BiblePay:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/75hozh/slack_team/

Here is lead dev talking about integrating with Stratis:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7i9pfp/stratis_fork/

===

Use Case wise, there are definitely other charity coins:

Bunnycoin: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bunnycoin/
Donationcoin: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/donationcoin/
Cleanwatercoin: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cleanwatercoin/
Wishcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2250891.0 (ICO starts Feb 20th 2018)

Dogecoin: has a charity foundation and has donated to provide clean water: http://foundation.dogecoin.com/
Solarcoin: has some coins in reserve to go to environmental charities

There are also websites you can visit and leave open to mine Monero to go to Charity
https://www.charitymine.org/
https://donateyourtab.to/
https://mineforcharity.com/

If you guys know about or find any more charity coins, please let me know!

===

Also BiblePay has goal to spread Christianity and has budget allocated for Pay to Preach/Priest,
as well as in-wallet prayers, and rewards for listening/reading/watching Gospel links.
And lead dev has more ideas to spread Christianity:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7du3kg/spreading_the_gospel_knowing_jesus/

There are some other Christian coins:
JesusCoin - is a joke coin
ChristCoins - Pre-mined ICO, will reward for reading the Bible on their website which is really cool

===

Thank you for reading and giving feedback! I will post back if lead developer unmasks himself. Thanks!

I suggest RIMBIT (RBT). It's a interesting coin very similar to RaiBlocks. With Rimbit the confirmations are done by the community with their wallets on their own PC.

from the 2 that were submitted in the correct way

biblecoin and raiblocks

both look very credible projects... I really like the honest upfront looking approach of bible coin.

Both could be added if some heros or legends agree that both look to be viable REAL projects and the possibly the NEXT big thing. Although raiblocks is pretty large.

Would like to see both on some semi decent exchange rather than such small insignificant places. I find it hard to believe a coin in 17th spot in the billions can not be on somewhere a little more useful that the 2 unheard of ones it is on now?? what is the reason for that.

Also bible coin although to me without a doubt is a REAL project i would like to see something highly innovative over the dash base it sprouted from that could really make it the next big thing. Most on there with perhaps the exception of gamecredits which is not one i would have thought to add there have either innovated greatly or substantially over what was prior. Game credits have been plugging around for years and i don't doubt they are a real project and may become a big thing in their niche.

Both look good though and if enough people of senior hero and legends say go for it then we put them up. No 2 post sock puppets swamping in though. You need to put your credibility on the line to make firm suggestion and see it get on the poll. Else we risk listing projects that will make the others look less than they are.

Great to see the voting still going well and don't forget you see a new better project pop up you can change your vote.

XTRABYTES for me.
I beleive this project can overshadow Ethereum. Driven by community its already a top-100 in CMC.
The idea of blockchain 3.0 with proof-of-signature and super secure data storage is great.
If devs somehow lower transaction fees (which they will do), then XBY will explode. Mark my words.

Oyster Protocol and TROn are the next big thing when it comes to altcoins. The developer of oyster protocol is very active and you can check the whitepaper of it. You can also check Tron's development and road map

I see voters but no explanation of how and why you voted. This is of key interest to me and Im sure many others as to why we choose one project over another.

They just add here without explaination becuase they dont know why. Just add depending on his mind but no reason.
In my opinion, i dont add any project but o know waves is good one so i vote for it.
