hallo friend, I think it would be wise to choose both. ie by dividing allocations according to potential coins, eg 60% to buy bitcoin and 40% to buy ethereum (60:40), or it can be 50:50.

My prediction for ETH is good, many of it's ICO have been very successful. I think it will go for 5k this or for the coming months, hope i'm right.
But i think Bitcoin will be staying on 11k support for now and is going to be tested.
I don't want to predict anything big but for the fast playing method i think if bitcoin reaches 10k-ish probably 10.8k it will dip 8k we will have to see.

So for now you should not buy because it's very volatile, some SHIT altcoins are also getting pumped and being bought, but mostly goes down along with BTC.
You should wait a little bit more or do a little more research before diving.

It always Bitcoin on the first hand. Now the price is  10000$ above. Look at the past year it is moved 10000$ on the past year and hope it will past 50000$ in this year.  So it always better to keep bitcoin on hand.

I think buying the ethereum more appropriate because these coins are more promising and more have the opportunity to go up in price. let alone the ethereum good for long-term investment, thus more accurately if the choice falls on the ethereum.

For me both because they are important to me. And both of has a high value, but we all know bitcoin is higher but I use them both. I use bitcoin for investing ang I use ethereum for trading. Choose them both and manage wisely.

My 2 cents:
Bitcoin will always be the first cryptocurrency (first-mover advantage) and due to it being limited (and harder by the day to generate a new coin), will remain a highly sought-after coin.
Ethereum, thanks to its environment will, IMO, enjoy the most widely accepted milieu for the blockchain developers and entrepreneurs alike - NEO will give a tough fight to Ethereum but the latter will have an edge due to its maturity.

I prefer both bitcoin and ethereum because their are good in investments. Bitcoin and ethereum are the most promising coin than other currencies because their are most valuable in cryptocurrency. For today, bitcoin loses its price from almost 20000 to 10000 dollars and ETH rises its price from 500 to 1000 dollars. Every price of every cryptocurrency fluctuates from low to high or from high to low depending on the situation. Bitcoin and Ethereum are both great coins and we cannot predict what will their prices will be. If I will be ask which one will I choose, I will choose bitcoin because it was the origin of all coins and even it loses its price, there is still a high chance to recover its price and make it double or greater. Just waiting the time that it will happen.

I would rather stick to ETH. Their consistancy in price growth is decisive comparing to these two coins.
Key factor to choose ETH was knowing the fact that owner of this coin apparently "just got started" with further work. With few year plans that are about increasing involve in networks in following years to come.

I would like to suggest to buy ethereum now than bitcoin because bitcoin is much more expensive than ethereum. However, if you buy some bitcoin even though it is expensive when it increased you can earn a lot of profit but I think it is more wise to buy ethereum than bitcoin because of the price.

I think ethereum is the best choice for this year, because i read many opinions from many people who say this year the ethereum price will goes up and hopefully the price can surpass bitcoin like article that i read, and also they says bitcoin will has no values and bubble

Both of them are very good cryptocurrency, may I suggest you to invest both of them. Bitcoin is the father of crypto and ethereum is the second best choice in the cryptocurrency.

I think Ethereum will see much higher prices sooner or later. But I think 10000 dollars will not come right away. If it's over $ 5,000 in 2018, it's a big success. Of course I can not imagine where Bitcoin would be.

Until now I still believe to the potential of both coins. Even though they were experience of fall down of price I know that they can survive it. Many years past and both this coin are still standing, since price of both coins are dropping down I believe that in the future they were recovered and raised up again their value. For the mean time its better to hold their value instead of selling it.
