Question: If everybody agrees, at this time we can push out a short term fix. I make no guarantees that the difficulty won't get jacked up again, but at this point I just want the coin to move again and don't see a long term solution coming.
Yes, "band-aid" the coin.
No, thats a waste of time. Wait for a solid fix.

ya we need to start promoting this coin and getting more server admin's running the coin on there server. but step one is spreading it around as many minecraft forums as we can.  i'd do that but i am a crypto guy who got into minecraft for this coin!  making this my main minecraft form

I think the first step is making sure the difficulty returns to a reasonable level, and getting transactions squared away. If there are 1000 servers that use CRC, it doesn't help if they have to wait a few days for a transaction to confirm.

the way to fix that is interest in the coin we need more miners! the diff didn't really break last time we just had a ton of miners and when diff hit 20 most of them left leaving the rest of us holding the bag.  but we can't get more miners without spreading the word simple as that!  if a server uses this coin they end up with a vested interest in the mining of the coin and they will likely encourage mining as a nice "free" way to get coins!

The difficulty drop / rise is too steep.  Make it 10-20% and it's fine.

It re-targets every 12 blocks with a max change of a factor of 2.

It is supposed to take into account the last 72 blocks when it does that.  That won't happen until block 15000 though.

Many ignore transaction reward (apparently), but it sometimes seems to help.  Maybe some people are watching manually.

The fact that someone drove the price way down on Cryptsy probably helped the fate of this coin during the short term. Although if I had seen the price drop I would have liked to sold some. I think CRC is staying just under the radar as WDC and SPT are gaining more attention. I am back mining CRC for the next few days (630Kh/s at the p2pool), I sure wish we had more steady mining. I am not in it for the coins anymore just to help the network.

I think it is safe to say that the recent "band-aid" worked and brought the chain to life. Thank you to all parties involved!

Awesome thanks man.  More Pools normally means more exposure and intern more miners and maybe even more games servers!!!
