so whats the going rate for shares now?

I posted a thread for making offers.  It's better than nothing, but hopefully the LRM automated solution will be coming out "soon", whatever that means.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320578.0

Great. Would be better if Lab_Rat or grnbrg did it, but it will work anyway.

Please add this grnbrg message to the thread, where specifies how the trading will be done.

Updated.  I will happily retire my thread when there is an official thread or announcement from LRM.

I still don't understand how grnbrg is affiliated with LRM and where his reliability comes from that he's eligible to act as escrow / asset manager.
grnbrg is, or was, on Lab_Rat's payroll if you missed it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251423.msg2755795#msg2755795

grnbrg, are you still taking money from Lab_Rat or has your affiliation changed?

The seller paid on BitFunder, I believe.

As far as the trades I'll be processing, I'm flexible.  However the two people want to arrange it is fine by me.  If I'm escrowing the payment, I'll take the fee off of that.  If not, the fee can be paid directly.

I updated the thread to specifically state the seller has the fee deducted.  This will create a default so there is no question, but the traders could put other terms in the signed message if desired.

What are you talking ?
Seriously....you talk about spreading the info over different place ?

Last time i checked ADDICTION Bitfunder page the last news was :

So give us a break please...seriously....
Asking things you can't barely make....what a joke !
Allright, guilty as charged on that count.. I'm not saying I'm flawless Wink Won't defend against that either. You are simply right, and I will correct that.

Mea Culpa, I will refrain from asking questions ever again until I'm 100% sure I haven't made any mistake myself again. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sorry for bothering.

Cheers,

Edit: on a side note; I think LabRat is doing a wonderful job so far (like I said in my first post).. And I know firsthand that all this Bitfunder misery is causing everyone including myself a shitload of work. I just hope that everything will settle down again and LabRat will have an easier time paying dividends in the future.

Already taken care of...You came in here and raged after all the problems were gone... See how fast I am at fixing problems Wink

I know grnbrg well enough to trust him, but as he stated.  There's signed messages by both parties included so I can verify myself.

I know where grnbrg lives if he messes with me as well Wink

I still don't understand how grnbrg is affiliated with LRM and where his reliability comes from that he's eligible to act as escrow / asset manager.

I spent a lot of time on the BFL forums and shoutbox, and built a reputation there.  Based on that reputation, @Lab_Rat trusts me to accurately process trades and report them to him for recording.  Not that I intend there to be much left to to trust....  When I log a trade with him, the email will include the signed trade request from both parties, and therefore unfakable.

grnbrg.
Ur point that someone trust u and because of that someone other must to???  sounds like.....

I'm selling 130 shares cheap if anyone is interested.

I would like to know how we are going to trade the shares now.
I'm still working out the details with @Lab_Rat, but the short version is going to be that both parties will need to send an email to LR or myself, signed with the BTC address associated with the LRM shares outlining the transaction.  "I want to buy 50 shares from <address> for XXXXBTC" "I want to sell 50 shares to <address> for XXXXBTC".   I will provide a BTC address and will receive the funds from the buyer, and transmit them to the seller, less a 0.5% fee.  (Minimum fee of 0.025 BTC.)  Once I have received the payment I will update the master spreadsheet of bonds to reflect the requested sale.

The above may change slightly.  And @Lab_Rat needs to set up the spreadsheet yet.  But that's the idea.
grnbrg.
I dont want to send you my Bitcoins. Any ideas?
Great, more fees limiting liquidity. 0.025 fee on shares which are going for 0.05-0.07 right now.

You're only hurting the little guy who wishes to buy 1 or 2 shares at a time with a limited mining income.

I hope this is not the final solution as to how trading is going to happen?

I'd rather offer my developer services to create you a decent automated way Smiley

Umm, 0.5% fee is OK. But 0.025BTC min fee seems quite much.

Besides that, hope there's a solution working soon.
It's not final, @Lab_Rat is looking into automated solutions.  (And the nastyfans website looks kind of cool....)

* grnbrg takes off any sort of "official" LRM hat.  My thoughts here.....

As far as the 0.025BTC fee....  I'll be honest and say that I suggested that.  Until there is an automated system that only needs to be reviewed occasionally, trades are going to have to be handled manually.
grnbrg.
"Fee" 0,025*205$(btc price)*(60/7,5)=41$/Hour for something can be easily automated? Just with some BASIC programming skills?

With the current Hashrate / bond I don't think so ( you can buy perpetual mining bond @0.1btc/GHs on cex.io) but perhaps with the new hardware buy and hashrate increase

How can we open a new account to buy shares?

There are no accounts anymore.  Find someone who is willing to sell you a share.  Agree on a price.  Both of you send the signed transaction details to LabRat or grnbrg as described earlier in this thread.

Correct.  But let us know it's a new address/account so we don't have to go back and forth in email - "I can't find that address.  Is it correct?"  Smiley

(.....)

I dont want to send you my Bitcoins. Any ideas?

So.... don't?  No one said you have to trust me.  Do your transaction through Lab_Rat if you like.  Although if he is busy, he might refer you to me.  Or send the payment through someone you do trust, and you'll only have the fee to worry about.  (But email me in advance, so everyone can agree on the process.)

Or wait until there is some automated trading platform functioning.

As far as the 0.025BTC fee....  I'll be honest and say that I suggested that.  Until there is an automated system that only needs to be reviewed occasionally, trades are going to have to be handled manually.

I haven't had anyone approach me yet for a trade, and I think I'll be surprised to see eight in a day, much less an hour.  And based on the issues I've seen with people trying to sign a message to send to Lab_Rat to validate their account, the hard part of vetting trades is going to be getting the signed messages from both parties correct....  I don't think $5 is unreasonable.

And again -- no one is being forced to pay anything.  An automated system is coming, and it will most likely have a 0.5% fee, with no minimum.  You can wait for that, if you like.

grnbrg.

PS:  I haven't traded on BitcoinTalk, so I don't have an official reputation here, but I did run a shipping pool on the BFL forums.  42 BTC went through that thread.  So I do have at least some track record with other people's money.
