There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Here's my thinking:

ActiveMining needs $1 million or there about. AMC sold around 1 million shares at $105 last week. That's $262,000. The price of bitcoins is now $97. Which means they need about 7600 BTC and to sell about 3,043,000 Shares. They have sold about 400,000 on BTC-TC the past few days. That leaves 2,643,000 Shares to be bought still. There is a block of 1,800,000 for sale on BTC-TC. The remaining 800k still needed is dispearsed throughout the .0025 and .003 range on BitFunder.

This. And as any of the other strategies start getting funds, Ken can just pull chunks of those walls down. Grin

Update:

Klondike progress:
As many of you are aware, the Klondike has now been tested with 16 chips hashing at 4gh/s on the older test board...

... Final PCB design will be completed within the next 24 hours and sent to the fab houses for production.

Component sourcing:
We are working with both US and oversees PCB fab houses in order to reduce manufacturing lead time so all components are ready prior to chip arrival.
The BOM has been purchased, and parts have begun arriving at the assembly house. All parts should be in and ready for assembly by next week.

ActiveMining (AMC) have 68 Klondike boards on order.

Can't wait to read his writeup.
So the strategy with the marketing campaign is to raise NRE funds through preorders?

preorders can't be used to fund the NRE because what if the product never delivers and the customer needs a refund?
A preorder is not a sale.

Pre-orders can fund the NRE, just the company is liable for them like you said. It's not the best solution but it is a solution.

You create a reserve account for refunds.  Like 10%, or whatever percentage you think you will have in returns.

I'm not talking about someone returning a product because the dog shit on it.  I'm talking about the scenerio in which you don't have a final product.  You would need a 100% reserve account if the products don't make it past the production stage.

Hey, if you want to fuck around with preorder money, I'm all for it.  As an investor that sounds great.  Good thing I'm not a customer though, LOL.

If you spend the money on NRE, there's almost nothing stopping anyone from having a final product except if they ran out of funds for the PCB (Then they could just sell chips)

If you even put the tiniest bit of logic in any of your scenarios, you would see that you are trying to make mountains out of molehills.

Ignoring seems so much easier than explaining.

I'm encouraging crital thinking in order to attract skeptic investors.  Every point I have brought up has been thoroughly torn apart.  I respect this company and it's very obvious there will be a future here.  Great job, Ken.

I see Kenneth has stated he has applied for ActiveMining to be listed on BTCT, but I do not see its application on the pending page. Is there any reason for this?

It has to be approved by the admin, before it shows as pending.

Thank you for the quick response.

Have you and burnside finalized any plans for automatic transmission of shares between AMC and ActiveMining as has been discussed before?

Trip to Springfield - Quick Summary

I am going to give a very quick summary of my meeting with Ken.  I am going to be busy tomorrow, so I will try to get a thorough report out in a few days.  I also need to clarify a few things with Ken and let him review anything he might not want revealed at this time or at all.

Overall Impression - Good/Positive

Ken and I talked for a few hours.  I told Ken a little bit about myself, but we mostly talked about his endeavors.  He's got quite a bit of experience in all types of businesses and some good business philosophies to back it up.  I have the impression that Ken is a driven, honest, and frugal person.  I definitely did not sense any red flags at any time during our conversation.  Ken drove me over to Springfield Underground and VMC headquarters.  Here are the pictures I took.  More details to come in a few days.

Did you get any information regarding upcoming events and timeline information?
