Yes, having backups is very important indeed. Better still would be an offline solution, like I propose.
We should fill a petition to all Bitcoin stock exchanges:
I ask you to find a decentralized solution for investors to be able to store our stock shares offline, in case of catastrophe and if this site goes down. One possibility: Investigate "colored BitcoinX" to download stock shares to our computers and store offline, like Bitcoins. It allows to "paint" fractional bitcoins into IOUs, stocks and other financial assets and will write our asset possessions right into the block-chain.Another option, is to develop a new block-chain for stocks and other assets.
This will greatly reduce shareholder risks, -and- allow investors to invest more money. (The goal is to proof the exchanges vs. government regulatory attacks, hackers, and to keep our freedom)
Ken could issue shares on Colored BitcoinX, and we could put them into exchanges to trade for BTC, or just keep on our PCs. Remember: in the old days, people used paper "engraved stock certificates", which they could keep at home.

We should use bitmessage, or something with distributed trust on the content itself.

ActiveMining should concentrate on signing with eASIC and, given today's reports, any additional regulatory compliance (pending legal advice asap).
Both of these items, alongside formation of a board, will give shareholders confidence.
Everything else really should wait.
Private Placement Memorandum http://axs.net/AMC/PPM/AM.pdfThis is amazing. I am now 100% convinced (I was around 90% before) that this is a legitimate business because I cannot imagine any scam being so amazingly intricate that they draft legal documentation to register their company with the SEC (in addition to setting up an office, meeting people in person, etc.). This is pure win!

Yet somehow the AMC fans are mostly new accounts (2013) with very little post activity, and almost no activity outside of the AMC threads. Weird, uh? I made an account because I wanted to discuss the company that I hold shares in. Does that discredit me at all?

This is because the old fans already sitting in ASICminer, while I completely missed that opportunity, so I went with ActM instead.

Yet somehow the AMC fans are mostly new accounts (2013) with very little post activity, and almost no activity outside of the AMC threads. Weird, uh? This actually happens with most threads including ones like ASICMINER. Even more 'established' members tend to gravitate towards a few topics that interest them the most. There are also roughly 10 times and many people lurking as posting, and some lurkers might make an account because they are interested enough in a thread they want to discuss it.

If there ever was an opportunity, it was very, very hard to miss, given how many weeks it took for the IPO to complete - assuming it's not AMC buying its own shares of course. A Belize-registered mining company with PO box "Principal Offices" & "Chip require[ing] proper handling of heat and power supply"? What's not to love? Edit: 28nm! Lolz Loooll! Just reading this nao: "The funds may be invested in any other Bitcoin mining shares that pay dividends until the funds are needed for the above usages. The funds may also be used to purchase Bitcoin Mining Machines from VMC or any other manufacture of Bitcoin Mining Machines or any other source of Bitcoin Mining Machines which will increase the dividends for investors" "The AMC Belize's business includes cryptocoin mining and sales of self-built ASIC devices through its wholly owned subsidiary Virtual Mining Corporation (VMC). So, who's bUying what from whom

>Like altcoins, they are worth nothing and are quickly abandoned after the pump and dump.
LOL ? Litecoin is quite successful, so some people make money on that instead. And no reason why ActM will not be successful either.

Lolz Here we go again, I'm 100% positive anything and everything you and pankkake are going to post has already been discussed and answered in the AMC Thread. But by all means continue trolling and lurking without doing research. Just point me to the relevant posts, plz, I promise to read them as soon as i change my pants -- peed myself laughing Edit: Still waiting to learn more about these newfangled "28nm ... Chip[ s] require[ing] proper handling of heat and power supply." Sounds very scientific and dangerous, proper handling of heat & power supply has never been tried before, you guys sure you want to buck the status quo? Improper heat handling and improper power supply? Edit2: 7:51:36 Dear diary, a nobody brags about adding me to his ignore list, but still no links. Edit3: 8:00:24 Dear diary, my BFF, VolanicEruptor, thinks i'm 12. He's got a real powerful mind, but i think he just might be mistaken. Time will tell.

Wow...almost the fastest I've ever added anyone to my ignore list. Only MPOE was added faster.
I'm sorry that I will miss out on all his/her enlightening, fresh and never before discussed posts about "Tulip Mania", "Weimar Republic", how "bitcoin is a ponzi scheme"....did I miss any?

I was just fine simply being told that the 28nm chips will require proper handling of heat and power supply.

Active Mining is now up for orders on btct.co. I see buy orders ranging from 0.0001 to 0.00315 per share. Will there be a initial fixed sell price for the shares? Or will they just fill orders arbitrarily?
