longtime supporter here
did the logo and support, great job Demarsac, however, gutted as sold most my coins on way up before 10k!

I didn't realise coinmarketcap is wrong, showing 2 million coins, there is only 400k coins!
zero explorer
http://zeroexplorer.forgetop.com/

Coin Supply (ZER)
410212.13411166

so coinmarketcap showing marketcap of 10 million which is very low compared to zcash and zcl etc

however our marketcap is actually a FIFTH of what showing
we are actually only a marketcap of about 2 million!

can easy go 10 fold from here!!!

sellers regret here, best wishes to all.

I have a donation address if you wish  Smiley

Doesnt make sense, explorer clearly says we are at block no225262, x10 coins per block amounts to 2.2 million coins available.
Either the explorer messes up the coin amount count or.....perhaps it doesnt count coins that are stored in private z-addresses ?

I agree! I also wanted to point out this same thing, but you beat me to it. With the Current block count being at 225,271 we should have 2,252,710 coins in circulation. So the 410,xxx doesnt add up. Besides, 410,212.13411166 cannot be possible especially if the coins are created by increments of 10. Unless some coins are being destroyed somehow!?

this is just a function of z addresses all coins stored in z anon addresses will not show in the explorer.

right, this is something I am aware of but didn't consider. mostly because I wasn't assuming the widget that displays the coin on the block explorer was actually polling a survey of the t-addresses.. are you sure about that? that being no the (z) address thing but the algo used to retrieve the coins in existence data. it is still ambiguous and if that is the reason (z storage) it should be somehow specified on the site.

who did the create on the block explorer and what is the function that derives that number which is inaccurate? honestly if we are actually polling all t-addresses then the label for that field is definitively wrong and should be specified as "known coins on t-addresses" not "total network coins".

that said, this is the number on coinmarketcap: 1,991,680 ZER

so they are both wrong then.

looking into this it seems the explorer is not working correctly and is not showing the total blocks if your search for block 1 to 150000 it gives no results but does for 160000+ so this could be the issue

Hi Guys--sounds like a great product. Looking forward to a bright future. Just bought some coins on cryptopia.

Can someone provide a method (or steps), whereby I can have my customers make purchases at my store, with the zero currency?

Right now, I am trialing a bitcoin button, and it uses javascript in the html of my wix store.  Few takers though, and a lot of complaints that they want to buy using the traditional methods, paypal and credit card. However, with lots of cajoling and comparing it to paypal as the "new version" and poking at them on emails, I know that, even though this is a group of late-adopters will (for you product life cycle advocates) and are coming around. Much to their consternation, I have relatively unique products and they want them, and I can stomach the loss in sales for this product line as my main lines are prospering now.

That said, my customers do not want a lot of fussing around their first crypto purchase to make a store transaction. They just want some simple guidance. And for this lot, they sometimes want to hide the purchase from "the wife" because if she saw how much he plunked down for his tools, well, he might get quite an earful, or worse, no sex for a week. So for me, as a savvy business owner, there is an opportunity here for my new zero investment (a meager 45 coins).

Also, the zero website (and I did a run through the two bitcointalk threads), is a good start, but really needs some more meat.   I am afraid if I send a customer there, they might be scared off by the lack of content.

And, as far as the stigma goes, over these private currencies, I suggest a long term approach that adjusts the message as the audience adopts them more. At this point in time, if I asked my customers what they thought of truly private crypto currencies, well, they might be afraid to mention as it may cause them trouble or someone might be listening. I think that overcoming this inhibition is a first step, and modeling the approach after others (albeit in different fields) can be a great start.  Such as the openness today for condoms, and viagra. It was tough on those products in the early years, compared to the widespread acceptance and adoption today.

And, my customers, the general work during the day kind of man, tinker at night in the workshop, located in the US (70%) and Europe (about 30%), they do not know a Monero from a Z cash, from a Zero, from a Zencash.  So, a good website presentation and an easy exchange without demanding ID, sthould be sufficient to guide them to the "standard" offering of crypto on my website. You know--two flavors, open ledger with the big name bitcoin, or Zero for privacy.

If you guys need some input on the website marketing, it was one of my majors, so happy to help, and increase my investment value in zero.  The approach is simple. First, run through the competition, evaluate their sites and take the best parts to include in the zero site (this way you know nothing is missing or lacking from the competitive approach), then one-up-'em by reading some case studies on Viagara and condoms (whoever is the big name there), then morph their strategies and methods into the approach for the website. In other words, use their techniques for overcoming inhibitions to make "privacy" coin talk an open subject, fit for cashier stand display, where no one needs to turn, or shy away.

But honestly, I truly believe the way to increase the zero value is in commerce, the utility of using it as a means of exchange for goods and services. So if you can get me the code to use on my wix stores, that should help to increase adoption, exposure, and discussion.

@ green_coins_and_ham

I think this is a very good idea: buying zero using a credit/debit card directly from the zero website.
The zero website could act as an intermediator between the retail customer and i.e. cryptopia, and save the retail customer from the hussle of registering in the exchange, then convert fiat into btc and then into zer.
This could be revolutionary for a crypto and I think it should be considered seriously.

I have no idea how feasible/easy it may be, involving financial regulations etc, but it could help make zero accessible to a much wider customer base.

OK Guys

I am back from traveling JUST ONE DAY
I have to read 5 pages in this forum plus countless emails, pms, slack, Twitter, etc.
I will start from the newest to the oldest and start answering to the serious ones that need an answer
Plus i will answer some really funny ones... Like calling a dump a 30% fall after a 1300% increase Smiley
These are the best making my fever and staying home for now very interesting

I think it's obvious by now that Zero has turned page

Being ON the map means that now we will start hearing all kinds of things etc..
PEOPLE occupying themselves with ZERO even if they don't agree on everything is a big deal
its says a lot to what we do and where we are heading...

Cheers guys and Happy New Year with families and lovedones

Although you will be hearing from me way before that

Thanks

This is a multiple post...
I agree to some of the above and disagree to others
Don't want to complicate this further so to put things in a simple way

We inherited a part of the block explorer and trying to fix it to report correctly
The problem is of course the Z-addresses that don't appear and as advertised no one can know what goes where

The best is probably the simplest solution to just correct the math but we are still debating with the others
some of the devs believe we can find a better solution
so to be continued....

This is so bullshit, How can a coin be so high on exchange with such crappy miner ..

It makes you wonder indeed...
Also another question: How are all these people mining with such a crappy miner?
I guess they don't have crappy cards OR they know how to mine

I am not saying it's the best software miner out there but it does work.

Either way
if someone needs help with mining we help, he mines. That's it.

Sure...

You know the previous dev handling the project gathered 1500 Zero from community members

Although i do not like to judge or criticize especially a predecessor...
Well he left with those coins... That's about 8.000$ today

So for now the Community wallet works with donations. People donate and help the dev team pay or be paid for their work
Wallet for donations is in first page

If anyone could find Tearo and remind him that he owes 1500 Zero to the Community it would be nice

Hello everyone!

I believe that ZERO is a great project and would be happy to help in any way that I can.

I have noticed a few things that could be improved on the website, here are some changes in red that I suggest in order to polish the site a little more:

- On the About us page:

[Zero project somehow refused to perish and appeared to have a conscious conscience of its own.

- Also, is the following claim realistic?: "Zero is by far the most intelligent crypto-currency and is constantly expanding and evolving"
To me that seems a bit too much, I would suggest "Zero is one of the most advanced crypto-currency and is constantly expanding and evolving"

Let me know what you think.

Strell

Hi, good work i noticed these grammar things also. English is not the easy language to learn secondary from what i hear, largely due to some silly "rules" that are counterintuitive with all other languages lol.. I agree with most changes except the one that remains above. When speaking of "conscience" now are we suggesting zero has.moral values and knows "right" and "wrong". My inferrance of the original text is that the word consciousness should be there not conscience..

And the statement regarding the intelligence of zero, again a comical ambiguouty thanks to english! : ) without a few more words we cant know for sure the intended goal of the statement. However not neccesarily preferrable to transcribe it to something else. Without speaking of zero as a person of intellect we might assume that the statement would like to convey that the coin itself (by design) is the most intelligent crypto. I wouldnt disagree with that statement although time and battle testing is what will prove it. Of course this could be misinterpreted as a claim to AI which of course zero is not AI.  Or it could be indicating that a person of intellect would choose zero heh just kidding... your suggested replacement statement is also good though, and more specific less ambiguouty... i prefer the intelligent word personally..

Hi awill333,

I agree with what you said, it should remain "conscious" and not "conscience", my mistake.

Regarding your last point, I think the word "intelligent" is also fine, my concern was more on the part where it says that it is "by far the most" intelligent. I certainty can't say whether that's true or not, but even if it is, it's probably a bit too early to make such a claim.

yes, I hear you about that. it is a bit of an extravagant claim.. at this point more of an opinion or speculation. yes time will tell on that one Smiley maybe a bit early for such a bold statement..

If it says "constantly expanding and evolving" then the most correct term is "consciousness" not conscience. "Conscious" is just the root word.

I guess all this discussion about typo's and English grammar really helped the coin
It is right before Zero went 1500% up Smiley

Zero is been spoken as an entity not without reason
Zero loves A.I. and A.I. loves Zero

They will walk on this earth together one day holding hands

Wow! I have a lot of faith in this coin, But I really didn't expect it to blow up like this so soon!!! But remember guy's/girl's Even though we all wanna make our money, this is one of those coins that IMO can actually replace our current local Fiat currencies, - No fees & Fully anonymous along with quick transaction times! - and that is what excites me! Cheesy

Also, Devs, Could you guys take a look at Komodo's Berterdex and consider implementing that technology to this coin? I think it would do wonders to strengthen our ecosystem.

This is very experimental still
No need for us to rush entering there yet

Feels the same for me too my friend

In this forum we had like 20 pages in a months time and in only one day we had like 5 pages

Not even Claymore's Threads don't get traffic like this in a single day
