Both of those clients at least open. but seem to crash as soon as it connects to the network. upnp issue maybe. Will see what I can find out OK. First builds from today I accidentally had UPNP disabled by default, this time I changed it back to enabled by default which is how my builds from yesterday were set up. Here's another to try: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lbua3xh5exypx75/release16_sandybridge_i5_conservate_opt_w_mfpmath_sse.zipThis has the -mfpmath=sse flag added. Shouldn't make a difference for you I wouldn't think, but it's the only other thing I had enabled yesterday that I don't today. I just found this thread. New to Primecoin and trying to catch up on all of the news/info/updates/etc.. I just installed your release 11 build a few minutes ago and it's crashing immediately. Client doesn't even start to open up, just gives me the option to close program or check online for a solution. Here is what I'm getting in the "Problem Details" box: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: primecoin-qt.exe Application Version: 0.8.3.0 Application Timestamp: 51df5d09 Fault Module Name: primecoin-qt.exe Fault Module Version: 0.8.3.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 51df5d09 Exception Code: c000001d Exception Offset: 0044ddd1 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: a061 Additional Information 2: a061d8dea3d3bcbdfe0bd2e856155b86 Additional Information 3: 24f8 Additional Information 4: 24f83b5f4f2ba50c807be2644334ea41 Hope that helps That is because someone is building compulsively all combinations and subsets of compiler flags (avx, corei7, corei5, native etc) and optimizations (blockhashheader, size of siege etc), and people are executing without thinking if it is optimized for amd, corei7, sandybrige etc and the risk of forking because mismatching types and data interpreted differently by architecture. Besides, home optimizations are been mesh without warranty they are sound with source released.

Zalfrin's builds are working fine for me, I install the regular client and replace program files content with his stuff...works like a charm.

I notice some users releasing builds with changes to protocol related code without my review. This is dangerous. If you want to optimize that aggressively you should be working on an external miner instead.
Please remove any optimization code touching protocol related functions such as Target* functions, CheckProofOfWork(), ProbablePrimeChainTest() etc.
this wouldnt be an issue if there was an official build with the current set of optimisations +1 Mr. Sunny King, If you want to avoid the fall of this special coin, please do something. This is kind of sad that random supporters are doing the work instead of you. The heart of a coin/business is a good team behind it. Take a look at Phenixcoin. It is a scam shit coin. Copy paste. But the team does everything to promote it, so it ks gaining value. Megacoin supporter bashing altcoins for being copy-paste.... Don't make me have to choke a bitch! +1000 CHECK! +1001

So far I have a i7 3770K that is mining great blocks are always in sync. But my 3970K Orphaned 6 blocks last night and two more today.
I have had 8 orphaned blocks and 1 legit block I keep looking at the block sync and its off sync every hour or so.
Not sure why they are different. I have tried rebuilding with regular client.

if you're only setting a couple hundred pps mining isn't worth it. Difficulty has shot up in the last day
Because Primecoin will never be worth more than it is today... ever... You must know a lot about these markets then don't you. hahaha

When I try to compile the primecoind i keep getting this error. Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS Thanks Either your missing boost or your INCLUDEPATHS in makefile.unix are wrong. I don't recall having to install boost though on a vanilla image of 12.04 server (I will look into it later).

Good point. Where can I find your revision/sources? The code I was building with for my old releases is here: https://github.com/Zalfrin/primecoinBut, it's STRONGLY recommended to use the code on the official github until the kinks on my fork have been worked out. so besides the sync problem at start... is https://github.com/Zalfrin/primecoin working or not?
