Latest news,  kinda depends what you mean as latests its btc land so the half life on news is like 3 posts.

Important stuff is easic confirmed the deal, unimportant stuff is a lot of bickering on the main thread about the logo.

I keep this updates with the most important relevant things

Most of the Bitfunder crowd got in around 0.0005 and 0.0008, so what do you expect in vacuum of useful information.

Right, I knew about that, but why aren't people selling on BTCT to increase either profit or number of shares, or both by buying on BitFunder?

You guys see cointerra is selling $2Th/s units for $5999, less then $3/Gh/s?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292998.msg3142465

It would be interesting to know what ActM's raw per-Gh/s costs are going to be.  Probably covered under NDA.

Where'd the November date come from as far as ActM's miners going live? Is that unofficial?

Yeah, obviously it won't happen because cointerra is going to destroy you first.  Pff.

They'll also destroy Ice.Drill, of course.

In my view, there isn't going to be only one profitable company. There will likely be several.

It depends, there's no real barrier to entry, we could see a bloodbath where no company is profitable.

Look at the difference between bitfury and KnC.  Bitfury has better power efficiency, even though they're 55nm and KnC is 28nm. The difference is bitfury is a 'full custom' ASIC while KnC is a standard-cell design.

It's likely that HF and Cointerra are using full custom designs. Their performance is probably pretty similar, and really fast. 16-20x the speed of ActM's FPGA copy design. I doubt it's because they use 16-20 as much die space.

Because they need to mount fewer chips per board, their boards may be cheaper as well.
