Hitbtc is big player in many token and make many trader get loss.
You are right, how is it possible to say trader is scammer because just bought token in exchange with any price which has been set?

Actually, if they tell you scammer then they also part of scammer because they allowed for all these trades. I'm not sure how come they can call traders are scammers. They should have a system in place to stop scam trading instead of closing or freezing accounts. Until now I don't have an account with them because most of the time I buy and sell on bittrex.

We, the traders and customers they accuse of fraud, told them their site was broken. And they did nothing.

Now they are blaming us and taking our money.

Details:

Many of us had been following Micromoney (AMM) for a long time, waiting to buy after it got listed on an exchange. HitBTC was the first larger exchange to list AMM. Just after it was listed, the price plummeted, and nobody could explain why. Many of us were frantically buying/selling, not knowing what was happening.

After a few hours the price was almost zero, and it was obvious something was wrong with the code. Several users alerted HitBTC through support tickets and the chatbox. But HitBTC said nothing, and AMM trading was left open for several more hours. The Micromoney team informed us that they had been trying to contact HitBTC directly by phone, but nobody was answering, and there was no official response or communication from HitBTC. Trading was left open, despite numerous warnings from MicroMoney and customers that something was wrong.

After some time HitBTC issued a statement saying that there was a mistake and that all cases would be resolved personally. But today, HitBTC sent out an email saying:

"Due to the malfunction caused by fraud all trades are deemed illegitimate. As you committed trades and supported the fraudulent course of events, the amount of AMM bought will be written of from your account and no refunds are to be made."

So HitBTC is blaming the fraudulent trades on their customers, the same customers that tried for many hours to warn them something was wrong, and that they should stop AMM trading ASAP. But they didn't stop the trading, despite all attempts to warn them something was wrong.

And now they are blaming us, the customers, and our money has been withdrawn from our wallets.

Thank you for this information as I was trying to start a trade with them lately because of token price I have seen there and will like taking advantage for arbitration. Now that somebody will buy a token from there site with the bid and ask price post there and the same transaction will be said scam. I think in a long run this exchangers are going to run with people money.

If they are doing such activities better to report these with the micromoney company. I think HitBtc halted the trading from many days back and the price of AMM felt it's price very low down to 0.35$ per coin.

Its really serious for a site like HiBTC to be engaged in something like this. A site I see as an alternative to the big sites in the industry that have little or no regard to customer satisfaction. I agree that they might have a reason for taking this course of action but blaming people for their own incompetence is something that is over the roof and should not be entertained at all. How can you acsuse someone of scam just by carrying out his own normal activities that didn't start today.

You mst have been aware that hitbtc put up a fake amm on their site to swindle traders to buy unknownly, upon traders buying this coins, hitbtc came up with the news that  this coins are fake, even after collecting money for trading fees and taking btc/eth/usdt in exchange for this coins... On 9/12/2017 hitbtc wake up and took all this coins he sold to us, clear transactions history and withdraw this coins out of all those who bought this coins without official news or what so ever.. They in turn said that those who bought this token they sold are fraud and are illegal and as such they will not refund, ask yourself simple question you paid for a good from a shop the seller came back and forceful took the goods and refuse to refund, who is the fraud is it you that paid money for the goods or he who sold the fake goods, still came back took the goods and refused to give you your money back... How can someone who paid for a goods, he didn't break into the shop but paid for the good now become a fraud...

Hitbtc admitted that they made this mistake hence I have the prove of them admitting, if you actually admitted that you made a mistake, so who is then the fraud, is that not you, if you had made a mistake then refund to the buyers, that you goods and start over again and set things right ...hitbtc has said that they will not refund our money and we have promised to fight till the end, he who is already 5-0 at 89mins in football lose nothing so he is ready to attack...

Here is our campaign link help your follow traders as we are completely innocent, if this can happen to us it can happen to you, what this mean if you buy any token in hitbtc you are bound to buy hitbtc fake coin and no refund..

Let's us join hand and stop this bad act, in as much as you have not seen us, you are are follow trader we buy and sell to, don't let anyone exchange after collecting fees now claim, they will not pay back.

as other stated it's not just about AMM. i wanted to withdraw substratum token to mew and tx pending for 24hrs already. made withdrawal from another exchange of another ERC20 token to mew 5 minutes ago and already in my wallet. lawsuit is the last case scenario, i hope every tx get filled eventually, but we can spread to word not to use this exchange, their behaviour is unacceptable, hope they get hacked and abandoned by the community soon

(1) AMM holders sent AMM to HitBTC to sell.
(2) An error in the HitBTC system created millions of counterfeit "fake" AMM tokens that were injected into the market.
(3) Market was flooded with millions of fake AMM tokens.
(4) HitBTC accused those who unknowingly bought their fake counterfeit tokens of fraud, even though they left the counterfeit token market open for a full day collecting transaction fees.

HitBTC made millions of counterfeit AMM tokens, they collected transaction fees on these illegal trades, and left the illegal market open for hours after they knew the tokens were fake.

That's not what happened. HitBTC has withdrawn both funds and tokens from its traders accounts.
They just took our money. They are also blocking the withdrawals of other currencies, not letting people to move their funds to other exchanges or local wallets.

I wonder how many people were scammed by hitbtc on this AMM issue? It seems that its constantly the same group of 10-20 people posting about it. I have to imagine it is MANY more than that. We need to get to find someone to interprit the Spanish and Portugese troll boxes also, as I am sure there is much of the same being discussed there. Unfortunatly, because of the price, I think alot of the buyers are just blowing it off because they dumped $10 or so into it. We need to find a way to pull everyone togehter and get onto this forum(or all the same forum). We cant just let this slide, which I am sure is what hitbtc hopes it does. Lets set up a plan and stick with it. I will get in touch with my attorney Monday to see what steps he recomends. Anyones input would be greatly appreciated, as I know very little about coorporate law. I would have to assume there would also be a case for criminal charges against the CEO?

I am also very disappointed with what happened on 2nd december yesterday. Whatever the reason, it was a hitbtc error but they denied it and accused it was a trader fault. I only buy 1000 AMM when the total supply is still 9k AMM and since the 2nd of December yesterday I can not withdraw any other coins I have there.

I believe this deserves more attention. My advice to you would be to take screenshots of all your emails with HitBTC and collect all of the links and other related information. Post all that, with your story, in scam accusations and at least try to have a moderator mark HitBTC's account in the forum red.

I am not certain if you can get your coins back, but you can convince others not to trade in HitBTC.

If this story is true, it is near to unbelievable. However I would never trade on HitBTC. They are known to do shady business, havent you seen the "you got scammed by HitBTC" memes on telegram or anywhere else? Its like common knowledge that one should avoid HitBTC.

i lost 420$ to this scam they returned me only 80$...i bought AMM 3 rounds and the 80$ was the first 200 coins that i bought at .40 cents but the other 420$ they refuse to refund them ..what im curious is how can they determine what coin was fake and what coin was real since i bought all 3+ mil in a matter or 20 seconds ...as a matter of facts im the first one that noticed the price drop so i keep buying since i knew there are only 17 mil of them ...and all i could see on sale was 5.9 mil of them so of course i went all in ...i was placing buying orders lower and lower and they were all filled up super fast so i set a 300$ buying order for 0.000001 cents and it got filled in 2 seconds ...thats when i realized it wasnt ok ,so i sent a mail to support telling them the AMM is a scam coin and i explained them why i believe so , but unfortunately HITBTC didnt act as fast as i was expecting ,it took them over 7 hours to react ,and after i did their job and detected the scam ,hitbtc apparently decided not to refund me my money ,but they also blame me of participating in the scam ,well here is my answer ....i will not let this go even if i lose more money HITBTC ..i will make you bleed badly ...and for the record they shut down the blog on hitbtc and deleted all records of my AMM but i have one screenshot of my tokens withdraw without my permission .HAVE A NICE DAY AND TRY STOPPING ME

this is true.. I also bought AMM when the market opened and until now they did not refund my btc. really they are very unprofessional, mistakes caused by them but they just blame anyone who bought AMM. i can not talk anymore, be careful trading at hitbtc, lest one day you get trapped and lose if they make the act again.

Crazy how many scam accusations I have read in the last days about this exchange. I knew that it was shady, but really didnt think that it would conduct fraud this obvious. Im sorry for all those that lost their money on this exchange. Its a pity that exchanges like that are not taken down by regulators by now.

In most cases these exchanges know what they are doing, where in case someone wants to battle them legally, they either don't stand a chance, or the amounts concerned aren't worth any further legal actions. That being said, people for once should stop being so greedy and just sign up somewhere because it offers this or that shitcoin or investment plans, etc. If you sign up to a shitcoin exchange, which is well known to be so for quite a while now, you'll be subject to each and every negative aspect of that exchange, where eventually you'll be losing funds instead of gaining them. These exchanges exist because people keep signing up there and continue to use them, and that with far better alternatives being widely available....

but my friend does not really care about his money, because the amount may not be as big as yours

Same thing happened to me with a withdrawal a few days ago. Took well over 24 hours, but it did eventually come through. I didn't withdraw ETH though, I was withdrawing BTC. They're definitely having some issues lately.

I think people are explaining about the AMM, so they are paying withdrawal to other altcoin. How it is possible few people are very positive with this exchange and many companies after ICO they start listing HitBtc only.

It's not just this thread. If you do a quick search, you'll see how many people are complaining about this exchange, and that for quite a long time now. This exchange has never had a spotless reputation, which usually is a bad sign.

Bittrex was quite a decent altcoin exchange, which I am also using, but due to the regulations they are subject to, thousands of accounts have been blocked for no reason, which is a shame, especially in current times.

Bitstamp, Coinbase, GDAX, Coinsbank, are quite capable. Kraken is an exchange I would recommend as well, but they have experienced a lot outages which is driving people nuts. Think good before signing up somewhere.

at the first place i was going to register on hitbtc because of ripple and monero, so i've picked kraken as soon as it has both of them on trade. though there is the thread about permanent 520 errors on kraken and bitfinex now. this exchangers industry is so unstable

though there is the thread about permanent 520 errors on kraken and bitfinex now. this exchangers industry is so unstable 

Kraken is aware of the issues and blame the rapid growth for the faillure on their part, which is understandable to a certain extent, but still amateurish. I get it that an exchange can't instantly adapt to the rapid growth we have gone through, but an exchange as Kraken should never ever be this incompetent. Not sure how many people have left to find a better performing exchange elsewhere, but one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that a non functioning exchange isn't something you want to make use of any longer. Bitstamp is a great exchanger with a proven track record of being far more reliable than all these other pathetic exchanges. And please don't sign up at Bitfinex, it's an exchange that at some point will implode with their Tether garbage.

The best thing to do for now is to contact directly the Micromoney support team to find more clarification regarding on this issue, and you will surely not find any good information since some of the comments here are base only on speculation, But I want to know more on whats happening since luckily I select to hold my AMM on my wallet.

Many of us had been following Micromoney (AMM) for a long time, waiting to buy after it got listed on an exchange. HitBTC was the first larger exchange to list AMM. Just after it was listed, the price plummeted, and nobody could explain why. Many of us were frantically buying/selling, not knowing what was happening.

After a few hours the price was almost zero, and it was obvious something was wrong with the code. Several users alerted HitBTC through support tickets and the chatbox. But HitBTC said nothing, and AMM trading was left open for several more hours. The Micromoney team informed us that they had been trying to contact HitBTC directly by phone, but nobody was answering, and there was no official response or communication from HitBTC. Trading was left open, despite numerous warnings from MicroMoney and customers that something was wrong.

After some time HitBTC issued a statement saying that there was a mistake and that all cases would be resolved personally. But today, HitBTC sent out an email saying:

"Due to the malfunction caused by fraud all trades are deemed illegitimate. As you committed trades and supported the fraudulent course of events, the amount of AMM bought will be written of from your account and no refunds are to be made."

So HitBTC is blaming the fraudulent trades on their customers, the same customers that tried for many hours to warn them something was wrong, and that they should stop AMM trading ASAP. But they didn't stop the trading, despite all attempts to warn them something was wrong.

And now they are blaming us, the customers, and our money has been withdrawn from our wallets.

I don't matter about what's the advertised rumors about it mate, and if your referring about using Hitbtc as not legit well I can definitely tell you that hitbtc is a reliable trading site. Lets say i withdraw from Hitbtc to a wallet, and there are no confirmation in the wallet after many days.

And the wallet address were right and the wallet is not a scam wallet, so everything should be fine.

HitBTC is indeed one of the shadier exchanges and I would suggest staying away as fas away as possible from it. Don't send your funds into their exchange!  I used it before and had some problems so I wrote to the support but my ticket is yet to be answered even though a few months have passed.

An update to my case:
I have received a response from HitBTC and my transfer has just been confirmed.
There is no explanation or apology just a notice that their engineers have fixed the issue and that is it.

I reluctantly conclude that I will probably not use this exchange ever again. Good luck everyone!

Instead of sending whatever shitcoin to a shitcoin exchange directly, you should first do some proper searching whether or not it's safe to make use of that service. It's always the same, people first need to get burned in order to do research. If people do research first for once, they will suffer far less from losses and other inconveniences. Hitbtc has a pretty long history of bad reputation, which seems to have gotten worse this year. It's either them not being able to cope with the increased user activity, or they don't know how to run an exchange, which in this case both options seem very plausible. I don't believe that they at this point in time have the intention to scam people. It's pure incompetence.

Hitbtc has a pretty long history of bad reputation, which seems to have gotten worse this year. It's either them not being able to cope with the increased user activity, or they don't know how to run an exchange, which in this case both options seem very plausible. I don't believe that they at this point in time have the intention to scam people. It's pure incompetence.

I see like that, I have 2 BTC transactions that I want to witdraw but stuck and not sent.
the only one can be traced and sent back rich and I repeated again and succeeded, but for the other until now has not been able to be resolved.
there is goodwill of HitBtc to fix, but not yet maximal.

There are issues going on with TRX deposits as they claimed that they're facing problems crediting end user accounts who sent TRX through direct contracts. Now, to what I feel, they should be given the required time they're asking for - 24 hours. They literally wrote it over the exchange that they're experiencing issues with ETH and ETH token deposits and they will have everything resolved in 24 hours. I was even worried about my withdrawal as I thought that just like others, I'm scammed too. But they've sent it. The only problem here is, they send a big batch of payments with a small fee which is somewhat shady. The worst part - they never answer anything over chat. And take more than 24 - 48 hours to reply through email support too. They are not scam ATM, but likely to be in future if this will continue to be their constant behavior.

Details:

Many of us had been following Micromoney (AMM) for a long time, waiting to buy after it got listed on an exchange. HitBTC was the first larger exchange to list AMM. Just after it was listed, the price plummeted, and nobody could explain why. Many of us were frantically buying/selling, not knowing what was happening.

After a few hours the price was almost zero, and it was obvious something was wrong with the code. Several users alerted HitBTC through support tickets and the chatbox. But HitBTC said nothing, and AMM trading was left open for several more hours. The Micromoney team informed us that they had been trying to contact HitBTC directly by phone, but nobody was answering, and there was no official response or communication from HitBTC. Trading was left open, despite numerous warnings from MicroMoney and customers that something was wrong.

After some time HitBTC issued a statement saying that there was a mistake and that all cases would be resolved personally. But today, HitBTC sent out an email saying:

"Due to the malfunction caused by fraud all trades are deemed illegitimate. As you committed trades and supported the fraudulent course of events, the amount of AMM bought will be written of from your account and no refunds are to be made."

So HitBTC is blaming the fraudulent trades on their customers, the same customers that tried for many hours to warn them something was wrong, and that they should stop AMM trading ASAP. But they didn't stop the trading, despite all attempts to warn them something was wrong.

And now they are blaming us, the customers, and our money has been withdrawn from our wallets.

I once got an email from someone who mentioned an anonymous merchant, and I was invited to join the crypto trade and he has offered me a profit of about 80% per day on hitbtc, once I found on a site that made no sense and if the requirements were not met it would got a fine of 100 $ does not make sense to be careful with fraud.

- Fake company name / no corporate registration
- Domain whois hidden by panama based whoisguard
- Almost non existent support
- No company contact information

I do not claim HitBTC is scam but this would be a pretty big red flags for me. Also, I recommend everyone to look at the official reddit channel as well.

That's a smart idea. I trusted that HitBTC would be fine because it's one of the top 10 exchanges by volume, but I was completely wrong. I have a withdrawal pending for over 20 hours now, with no news at all. I checked their system health and they have hundreds of similar withdrawals simply pending. It's like 50% of its user base has no real issues with this exchange, and the other 50% experiences problems all the time. It's a structural problem they suffer from, that nowadays has grown to even larger proportions. But then again, there are more exchanges that can't cope up with the increased usage, especially when it comes to their support. It's like they don't want to invest in expanding their entire staff that's meant to handle support tickets in a timely manner. I don't see it getting any better in the upcoming months....

I've encounter some issue's at them before but they shoulder to fix it as soon as they can, but we cannot expect them to fix the issue up immediately since there so many people who line to be solve first. They should really need to hire more staff if they really want to make their site as big as the other one but and if they resist to act like this then they will became shit as yobit exchange.

I used to like HitBTC but now it just seems like one thing after the other. I was recently alerted to this one coin they listed on Coinmarketcap under Presearch using the ticker PRE.
So people would be redirected from there to PRE on HitBTC. Only one problem with that... The coin that HitBTC linked to from Coinmarketcap is not actually Presearch. In fact, I couldn't find any information on the coin they named Premine when looking in the tab under the PRE ticker.
They have changed the ticker now to PRS but CoinExchange still used PRE. Either way you look at it this is an exchange that has no issues whatsoever about scamming its customers.
I still have a few holdings on HitBTC but those are definintely going to Bittrex after seeing this one. And I don't think I would move back even if they reimbursed all the customers they scammed because this appears to be something that is perfectly acceptable to HitBTC. HitBTC isn't a scam but I have heard that hitbtc and kucoin have a same team on the backend. So hitbtc are moving on much of their volume onto kucoin which is the reason kucoin is coming into a lot of limelight these days. Hitbtc has been a great exchange so far may be they are facing a lot of network issues.

The actual problem with hitbtc exchange is that, they never revert back to customers' queries whether it be related to deposits-withdrawals or the one you stated. They've gone worst after the TRX pump and other coins' unmatched values too being shown over exchange that's literally not acceptable if compared to all other exchanges who hold the same coin but values are totally different (or I would say much lesser than this).

There is something odd going on here. The website of HitBtc claims that they are registered as HIT Solution Ltd, but they aren't. The only thing close to that is HIT Solutions, which is dissolved two weeks ago, click. HitBtc was originally hosted by Hit Techs Limited, Bloomberg reported some years ago, and I cannot find anything about a change of ownership (yet).

Apparently HitBtc has a registration in Hongkong as of 28 march 2017, having left the United Kingdom because no annual return (AR01) has ever been filed. Financial position is therefore unknown. Hit Solution Limited is registered in Hong-Kong jurisdiction with the company number 2510720. It might probably move out of there as well, as soon as the HK authorities demand for the annual return / financial position to be filed, which of course is by definition flawed.

Okay so here is my case. I had a recent Ether withdrawal from HitBTC. We all know the excellent swiftness of the ETHER network that any transaction with a good amount of gas will be confirmed within a minute at max. Even every exchange process eth withdrawals quite quickly. But here is Hitbtc. It has much more withdrawal fees than normal exchanges. A fees of 0.01 ETH while its just 0.002 on exchanges like Mercatox. But the main problem is that I processed a withdrawal yesterday and it took more than 24 hours for that withdrawal to get on the ethereum blockchain it was because they didn't even sent the transaction to network for more than 24 hours kept it to themselves.

What was the status of the transaction according to HitBTC? In most cases there are several indications like when a withdrawal needs to be authorized, or that it's pending, etc.... If it according to HitBTC was stated as sent, where most cases an exchange also provides you with a transaction ID, and it still took so long to show up on the network, it's likely them having had technical difficulties. Or it could be that their node wasn't entirely up to date, and for that reason it took so long to push it to the network. While I can understand that it's pretty annoying since you want to have your withdrawal available as soon as possible, this doesn't fit in the category of shady or scam.

I used to respect hitbtc but after I lost $100 there I became a hater. Now I keep binance acc, coinbase acc and recently got a freewallet acc cause they are really working hard to keep low fees and do btc transactions quite fast and cheep

Wanna bet the annual return forms and financial documentation of Binance and Poloniex show something different than 1 EUR. HitBtc has no activities, no personnel, never had any, says every document. According to the documentation this company never did anything at all. Shell.

Oh and btw, where do all the people that do customer support come from? And do they work for free?

Not trying to defend them but I know for a fact that both ethereum and bitcoin networks have been clogged for some time and just yesterday even the swift network of eth i had to wait for over an hour to get my eth transaction through which had a decent fee attached to it.
HitBTC needs to own up and convince us that they have the experience to deliver better services to the crypto users and some of their fees are ridiculously expensive i wonder how they compute these numbers they need to readjust them to be more fair and competitive on the market

HitBTC is really the ugliest exchange I've ever used.

With tons of problems! There's is a chance that you're withdrawal will not proceed.
I wouldn't advise anyone to use them.
Also their withdrawal fees are crazy, $10 for ETH, almost a buck for Ripple??

the same thing happen to me but with Cryptopia but that's not a scam or something bad at all cuz the ETH network had overload , i'm  not defending on HitBtc cuz they have no support and that's a strange thing, for now just avoid that exchange

Try to read there support forum... how many thread still suffering on waiting for their deposit.

My self have been waiting for 4days long now. I have test same coin on other exchange.... got them within 4 minutes.

so what can explain the case. some people still waiting week after week.

my advice please do not deposit anything there if you willing to loose it all.

That's odd because there is no documentation listing any employees  

The previous owners (director and major shareholders) did the right thing by getting rid of this exchange. The company with which they originally started before getting into this nonsense still runs smoothly, and is far less confusing when following the data/paper trail. By taking a quick peek in the UK company registers (company nr 08730592) it seems this is a nice up and running company; it earns money, the filed documents add up, it earns money, the financial situation is filed, it earns money, and most importantly they don't hide anywhere that this is their company, in fact they show themselves on the website.

The fact that they actually run a company in the crypto market that earns them free income for some years already implies that the need of hosting an illegitimate exchange on the side isn't actually there. Getting involved with HitBtc might in the end even work against them.

It is probable that the situation of HitBtc in the UK (that is until March 6 2017, documents: Application to strike the company off the register) was as followed:

- Crime boss smells money
- Crime boss wants crypto currency exchange platform
- Crime boss pays someone to sign the paperwork  
- That someone pretends to be the owner
- Company runs for up to <2 years and dissolves because of inactivity or files a request to dissolve

and the cycle starts over.. and the crime boss can be anyone and will of course never be found.

Maybe a small fundraiser so that someone can file a complaint to the Hong Kong authorities (here: LINK) and has the means to actually go there to settle the dispute.

e.g. a plane ticket, legal counsil, international council, Hong Kong council, and whatever, for one or several parties of interest (users) that have a plausible case.

I used to like HitBTC but now it just seems like one thing after the other. I was recently alerted to this one coin they listed on Coinmarketcap under Presearch using the ticker PRE.
So people would be redirected from there to PRE on HitBTC. Only one problem with that... The coin that HitBTC linked to from Coinmarketcap is not actually Presearch. In fact, I couldn't find any information on the coin they named Premine when looking in the tab under the PRE ticker.
They have changed the ticker now to PRS but CoinExchange still used PRE. Either way you look at it this is an exchange that has no issues whatsoever about scamming its customers.
I still have a few holdings on HitBTC but those are definintely going to Bittrex after seeing this one. And I don't think I would move back even if they reimbursed all the customers they scammed because this appears to be something that is perfectly acceptable to HitBTC. Just look at the thread on this matter over in their forum:

Not only Hitbtc, there are many exchange taking lot of transaction fee while trading and withdrawing from the exchanges. I think few people are facing some problems with the deposits and withdrawal, I think hitbtc support system should improve inorder to get solve tickets as soon as possible.

It's worth thinking about the intentions that are behind this.

There's a lot of delay and complaints about transactions and funds if you check out some forums. Yet HitBtc keeps on listing new coins, as the one in the quote above, and continues doing this. So apparently there is communication between HitBtc and several ICO/coin teams, while there is very very few communication about complaints regarding their service. This hasn't changed and they actually never ever even opened up a job offer for that. They "have" a few communications/marketing officers, but I'll bet they can't help you at all.

I by default don't trust any altcoin exchange listing for the major part only shitcoins, and neither should other people do. If you think an exchange with a pretty mixed reputation since its existence is a good place to trade and store coins (yes, there are fools doing so), you're just a three-dimensional clown with no right of complaining. It's harsh, I know, but the time for friendly reminders is no longer applicable. Friendly words don't seem to have any impact whatsoever, so it has to be pointed out in a less friendly way to make an important point stand out and gain weight. There are so many capable exchanges to choose from, why do people so badly want an incompetent exchange that lists loads and loads shitcoins?

I was also following this exchange and was almost thought of opening the account here and by then the lot of complaints started pouring in which just made me alert and postponed my account opening here . Thus from then I have not got much positive feedback and now I am not going to open here . Hope your issue is resolved soon .

I am not sure why this thread is getting so many responses in negative ways because I'm using hitbtc since long and daily basis but there is no such issue arising with me. Yesterday only I traded my ETH with BTC and played along with other coins for the margin trades. I was even successful while making withdrawal despite the thing that hitbtc had some issues with its withdrawal process. Though the notice was published as precautionary thing I did proceed with my withdrawal and gotten the money instantly into my wallet.

You guys need to check whether you are on the right exchanger or not. Lol. The hitbtc is working just fine for me!

This is crazy how many there are experiencing problems with HitBTC. I have also have my CND tokens stuck with them for 3 month now. and it is not a small amount either. So yesterday i write to Cindicators official support, to get there opinion on the matter and they responded:

First of all we are not listed on HitBTC, This listing is not official, you can only blame yourself for trading CND Tokens there.

This came as a shock to me, that an exchange can list a token/coin for over 3 months without the companys approvel. And also how lightly cindicator took it. It should be in there interest to get there token/coin removed from HitBTC.
Instead of trying to sue them. we should all contact the companies of the coins we are having problems with on HitBTC. If we just get one company to take action, I think the rest will follow or at least make the media aware of it. I would like to hear if anybody else has have problems with the same token as me(CND) on HitBTC. I really like what you all are trying to achieve, but I think if we could get some or just one of the companies involved, we would be better of. Sorry for the long rant. But you guys now how frustrating it is. Keep spreading the truth about HitBTC.

I also just realized about my HITBTC account, I just withdrawn a coin from HITBTC to another exchange site and I was shocked how much they have got out of my coin. I know there is a fee for every transaction because that's given already but how come I the fee doubled up when I transfer it to the other exchange site? I, along with 1000's of others have been ripped off by their shady tactics. They leave DEAD coins on their site, and change the tickers to trick you into thinking its another good coin. Just google "HitBTC premine" They kept the dead coin "Premine" on their site, and took the ticker from Presearch to make people think the Dead coin Premine was Presearch! And, they made Premine the same price as Presearch! When you google this, you can see that people were complaining for months. They DID NOT have the official name next to the Ticker, this was a perfect crime from them, they made millions by selling a dead coin even months after they received many emails. Their official comment was that "People need to do their research first"  WE DID DO OUR RESEARCH! When buying a coin, I check 2 things; 1. The Ticker and 2. the price against CMC. Again, I say to you that HitBTC had not only changed the ticker, THEY ALSO MADE THE PRICE THE SAME as the coin that they were tricking people into thinking they were buying. (Dont take my word for it, just look this up)



And just now, I see they're still selling BAR.....see? TITANIUM BLOCKCHAIN asked them to cease selling the coin. Its dead. But they are till this Minuit still selling it to unsuspecting customers. Yes, you need to do your due diligence. But this exchange is just a new level of low.

Stay well clear of these criminals. I lost $2000. Im tired of hearing "This is the wild west" RUBBISH! We are moving forward on the space. Look at the main exchanges, even Kucoin has live help. Lets work together to rid the crypto space of criminals like Hit Job BTC. Yes, you have to be carefull in which projects you invest in. But you should not have to purchase from criminal exchanges.

What is really your problem? You buy a coin at high price and then it drops suddenly and turn out the coin was abandon by dev, is that it?
if that's the case its not hitbtc it was the coin they list. Maybe hitbtc should be careful on what coin they are listing.

Well i don't think it is a hoax you must be the lucky ones that doesn't face any issues right know but watch out for your future trades there is always a chance you will encounter that issues my only advice get out of that site before it's too late.

My account is also suddenly stuck with the "Currency operations not available" error without any additional info. I cannot withdrawl. I cannot trade. I've been using HitBTC for a quite sometime now and I haven't encountered any problems with them the only issue I had is when I left my Trueflip coin in the exchange and did not monitored that they are going to delist the coin. The next thing I know is I can't withdraw it anymore but I  think it was my fault because it was too late for me to transfer it to another exchange though I did tried to contact heir support and nobody answered me.

Actually, i'm new in trading and Hitbtc is my first exchange site to trade my token through bounty campaign and i never had experience any problem using that site, but the bad thing for my own experience when i use that site using my phone a little bit lag and the rest it's good.

You dont know on what you are trying to say on here which most coins are still on ICO stages doesnt even know on which exchange they should be listed even devs would really need to plan out regarding on this matter and we do know that most erc20 tokens are commonly listed into Etherdelta before hitting up another tier exchanges which Hitbtc is belong. This is way more better than on those common decentralized exchange.Keeping coins on exchanges is always never been suggested.

They are a scam for sure.  Completely manipulated volume and sales.  Read the medium report on chinese exchanges, I think they are rated 2nd worst.

I was watching another scam coin CHP that was going for 20% higher at hitbtc as marketcap put it.

I signed up to see for myself and I even considered buying this shit coin to dump it for 20% profit at hitbtc.  I'm sure glad I didn't because after logging in and looking at the order book I realized it was all a fake. The number was nowhere near the expected and there was only one sale near that range. Basically the coin was trading at let's 11 and hitbtc was always 13 and reported it to marketcap at 13.. I'm rounding here but you get the picture.

It seems they either report false data to coinmarket cap or know when coinmarket takes a snapshot and doctor the data accordingly.

Just to confirm, HitBTC is NOT replying to tickets related to topic they don't want to talk about. I contacted them regarding STRAKS (STAK) listing, which was announced for mid February 2018, then delayed to mid March 2018, and now it is somehow 'promised' to list in April 2018. However, they just say April, but they don't want to publish any exact official listing date in April, and it will not gonna happen in April. But, they TOOK 25 BTC FOR LISTING FEES and just stopped replying to questions related to STRAKS. So, I hope they will see this message - I'm contacting them through support tickets, and requesting STRAKS exact listing date to avoid a scam, but if HitBTC does not reply to community support tickets and confirm STRAKS listing date within 72 hours, I'm starting a process with my lawyer company against HIT Solution Ltd and we are launching a lawsuit. I already have a proof of communication, an official HitBTC listing offer from HitBTC from 7th December 2017, which was confirmed and officially accepted, a blockchain proof of BTC transfer of 25 BTC and all other information that matter. They always have 'issues' and delays because of that, but STRAKS wallets are fully functional without any issues, working like a charm. Other exchanges implemented STRAKS within few hours literally! It is so fast and easy to list STRAKS.

This is sad to read different bad stories on HitBTC since I also have some coins there. I hope they will address your issue as early as possible. I have deposited 2100 neo on hitbtc i have switched 500 neo in dash and transfered in my hardware wallet it was succesfuly transfered. I provided the photo cover of my passport, my passport main page picture and also a photo of myself settled near my monitor with this ticket viewed on screen.



Then i got another reply to do  the AML/KYC procedure and explain all my blockchain transaction.... I  provided my social security number, my business number (NEQ), my passport picture and a picture of me with my passport. I'm not a professional about track my transaction in the blockchain but i have do my best for explain everything, I hope that's is enough!!! I feel like i been scammed by them, i can't have acces to my account at all.

I have a similar problem. I made an ETH deposit to HitBTC more than a month ago (26.3.) and there is still no deposit visible but it went trough normaly. I found out later on that it was send via contract from Bitstamp (dont know why) and opened a ticket and was told that they need to process it manualy and will credit them "soon". Was told that more then a month ago!! This is crazy, the worst exchange ever.

Sometimes not possible because there are still so rare coins and tokens traded only on one or two exchanges and one of them is our Hit BTC. You know exchanges have problems, delays, etc. and you have to use this scammy exchange. I never know if I will be able to withdraw or if it is my turn to pay the "franchise" now.

I hope that HOTBTC will take an example from Okex and will provide such a great customer service. I was very pleasantly surprised when I was unable to withdraw and after a few attempts, I started looking for a support button. I always check how support looks like before I start trading and I knew that they have an email and a telephone, but immediately after login a chat button shows up which is placed on each page. I pressed and to my big surprise, it was not a request to leave an email "we will contact you" only in a few seconds an agent spoke and in a few minutes he solved my problem, which was not due to Okex only the Coinbase address database.

What a great experience after so many issues with so many exchanges and each response always takes weeks or even months. I hope we will see such a professional service more often in a world of cryptocurrencies trading.

Deposited ETH few times and never had such a problem. Always in 30 minutes, I had my account funded. You can reach support on Reddit, sometimes works to speed things up. An established Reddit account could be helpful. Wish you luck.

Just want to put some alts on HitBTC to trade but I've read a lot of negative comments and I don't want to lose more money than I already did on different scams. Just want to put some alts on HitBTC to trade but I've read a lot of negative comments and I don't want to lose more money than I already did on different scams. That's why I'm asking - forum has a lot of members and I was hoping to get any newer responses, considering most of those accusations are close to 1 year old and a lot can change in crypto world in a year.

The problems are still going on but it is not that intense compared to before(a couple months or a year ago), for now they are doing it differently.
You can send or withdraw your coins safely from that exchange but in return you need to pay a lot of fees when you withdraw your money from that exchange.
but still, for me it is safe to use.

They can arbitrary decide to keep your money forever until you " meet the requirements", that's what happened to me, I sent them all the docs they were asking but they decided it was not enough so their bot kept asking the same thing until I give up.

They stole nearly 15k from me, I will probably never get them back and that's what they want.

So yeah, I have to go and get officially stamped translations of my driver's licence and electricity bill. Wow, that must be cheap task to do.

And they need my social media accounts too, for what!!? To sell my identity to someone?

And propably the next step would be to provide all my btc/btcp transfers to them "to show origin of funds" which is near impossible task too if you have ever done more trading and transfers than just buying BTC from coinbase to a one single address. Especially if you ever used privacy functionality of any coin.

I don't know your case, but when Chinese exchanges require documents that should not be necessary or are not available to your country, some times it's tempting to exercise your Photoshop skillz.
I'm not suggesting you to forge whatever they require though, this could make things even worse for you, especially if you have already submitted your real data.

My only advice is to just avoid Chinese exchanges, they can do whatever they want and you can't reach them legally.

I used HitBTC for selling a small amount of altcoin that I didn't want to hold. Now they've blocked my withdrawal asking for KYC information.

Only banks are allowed to claim the origin of funds, maybe some others financial institutes too. This is an example how crypto exchange cheats investors. An accident is that investor cannot receive his own money, it is fraud. You may sue to them.

I am glad that I haven't used them for quite sometime now. I got a notification stating that I need to do KYC (I first used this exchange in 2017) in order to get the approval for withdrawing my coins. I have already done KYC for more than a dozen exchanges and I am not going to do anymore. Luckily I have only around BTC0.005 worth of funds in HitBTC and I will just discard them. HitBTC is a known SCAM and is stealing peoples funds using the excuse of KYC.

I know people that have a lot of money there and just can't complete the KYC proccess and withdraw their funds, it's like they want a picture of your birth, documents that don't exist.

I posted a simple question about this in their telegram group and in 10 seconds my message was deleted and they ban me.

If you don't consider someone eligible as your client because of KYC issues what you must do is REFUSE them and revert the deposits, that's the only reasonable way of treating this matter, holding people's fund using this false KYC excuse is just ABSURD.

Also, it's about $400.00 USD worth, was about $500 21 days ago, and they're demanding government ID when they never asked for this initially or when I made a deposit.

Anyone with common sense and half a brain know that giving them government ID now wouldn't vet anything because they have nothing to compare to. They have email and IP.

Why would they need government ID.

I don't know who they are, they don't need to know who I am.

So they have my coins and want my ID.

The only logical conclusion is identity theft and scam.

Today about 9 hours ago I also had this KYC issue. Account is registrered 2 years ago but at that time I only made few transactions with them and it was about 2 years ago. Yesterday I made a deposit to Hitbtc for about 1100USDT, 9 hours ago tried to withdraw it and got a KYC request from them. I uploaded pictures of my drivers licence, selfie, name, address and phone number. I didn't write them anything about that and decided to wait. I am trying to withdraw a small amount of XRP from HitBTC, and this withdrawal was refused (my own XRP refused to me); I suspect it is due to the fact that I have not filled out the lenghty KYC form they ask of me.

I will never anymore fill out these long KYC forms. It takes like 1-2 hours,  and then the exchange gets hacked or closes down and I end up having done this for nothing. Also, I do not trust HitBTC with my personal info.

Shit man that sounds rough. I'm from the US and I deposited some $700 to trade, after realizing they don't deal with US customers due to legal issues (it's on their T&C) I thought I was done, but was able to withdraw by getting in contact with support. Point is that if it's important money for your brother keep contacting them by following up on your ticket and you might be able to resolve this via the proper channels.

Ouch. 2.6 BTC is alot of money anywhere in world, let alone India.
Hopefully he will remain vigilant and resolve the issue. For me HitBTC has always been dodgy, but a good place to dump bounty tokens for few hundred $. Never had an issue

Another problem with HitBTC. Unfortunately I chose this exchange over Huobi after both of these were recommended to me for the specific coin I want to trade.

Situation looks hopeless, all documents I send are being rejected in very short time with the same generic auto responses. No responses on reddit, Facebook or anywhere. They reject a scan of a passport for not being readable.

Another problem with HitBTC. Unfortunately I chose this exchange over Huobi after both of these were recommended to me for the specific coin I want to trade.

Situation looks hopeless, all documents I send are being rejected in very short time with the same generic auto responses. No responses on reddit, Facebook or anywhere. They reject a scan of a passport for not being readable.

You are one of the hundreds of victims and complainants that have suffered and lost money to the scam exchange. There is nothing that can be done here except make an accusation against them and hopeful it helps someone avoid making a mistake you made.
The worst is they will ask you for KYC and every other document but still you won't be allowed to access your money as most people have complained.

I don't know why you have been chosen HitBTC than Huobi exchange, I had been used Huobi so many times and I don't have any problem.
Probably that isn't rejected, because as a FAQ said, you can contact them if you have pending KYC requests over 3 days.

Next time you need to have research first, but just try to contact them because I have doubt that they are poor on customer support they can't accommodate all client's issues and complaints!

It might be because your account was blocked. Why are you still using a scam exchange like HitBTC?
Try contacting their support but your chances of recovering your Bitcoins are slim. HitBTC are scammers right from the word go.

Try contacting their support but your chances of recovering your Bitcoins are slim. HitBTC are scammers right from the word go.

But I have to say, I had a really good experience right now. I got a reply to my support ticket in less than an hour, after which I uploaded my KYC documents and now less than 24h later my account is verified, SO ALL GOOD! (though the coin is not at that price level anymore   )

Well then that's great. I guess you are one of the lucky few. Based on the number of negative reviews and experience expressed by a number of unhappy customers in this thread. I would still suggest you still take caution while using the exchange.

HitBTC is a rare slag. I do not recommend anyone to fund into that scam exchange

My account is in the same condition as yours, they made me submit the pdf, I got frozen for $ 7000, this is the worst exchange, kyc is just an excuse for them to steal traders' assets .

Sorry about the experience. $7,000 is a lot of money and I hope they are fair and release your assets otherwise HitBTC is one of the worst exchanges around. They hide behind the stupid KYC policies and selectively scam people. I hope it's the last time you are suing their service

There is a very good chance that they are using kucoin hacking incident to justify asking kyc from more users and then they will sell those information on black market for money and if the users refuse to do kyc or other stuff as they asked they can easily just keep the funds for themselves so it's a win win situation for them.

Hitbtc is scam exchange and there's no question about it, I will never forget my last experience with using this exchange, it had tons of problems, from very high withdrawal fees for tokens to very slow buggy interface and more importantly the existence of a very huge fake trading volume/liquidity in this exchange which just shouts untrustworthy all around.

HitBTC have scammed me also, i sent some tokens, they gave me the "ooh you sent to wrong address" BS speech.

55 days later, i now see 14 days ago, they withdrew coins from "old address" and , shock horror, they did not return funds to my address, but they sent it to their own address.

Are there any good hackers in the world, that can wipe this exchange of the face of the planet? Its ruined many lives and no doubt, people have taken their own life after loosing all the money to these crooks.

You are the guys who continue funding the exchange with your money so that it steals it and the scam continues to live on. HitBTC is already proven scam and if most of us avoided using it. I am sure they would cease operations at one point.

As for the part of trying to go the legal way I think you would be wasting money and time trying to take them to court as they operate in jurisdictions where they maybe out of reach from Law enforcers.
