Bitcoin was mainly created to get rid of the centralized money. Right now there are altcoins that are faster than Bitcoin and cheaper when you make transactions. Bitcoin gets old in my opinion.

bitcoin is not dangerous in my humble opinion, but just like any other kind of investment.bitcoin also has risk. for example, if the government decides to declare owning Bitcoin illegal, you may find yourself in trouble. Currently, the government's stance on cryptocurrencies is not clear and the danger is real as Bitcoin is not taxed. This is somewhat of a competition to government-issued currency. Other regulations could also make Bitcoin less profitable.

First it is decentralized and no government can control it like fiat and that makes it more dangerous since it is cannot be controlled. As I see most of the advantage of any coin turns out to be its disadvantage to. Bitcoin is a really good investment but it can also be a risky way to invest your money.
Bitcoin's anonimity also helps but also one of the most disadvantage of bitcoin that will annoy the government. Huge transaction without someone noticing might be done with it without attracting attention to the authority.

Looking at the price today vs yesterday I would say it gets more dangerous every hour! Investing in Bitcoin is a big dangerous gamble right now.
