Hello all - just stumbled across this by accident. This might be the earliest I have ever come across a project.  This sounds really cool and if the project can come to fruition it will definitly change the world forever as we know it.  These are interesting times we live in.

wow, looks pretty amazing!

I'm really glad i found this thread, will watch this one closely! Like to join a community right from the beginning.

Good luck with the project, and keep us updated Smiley

Thank you, i appreciate your support. Also thank you to the donators so far  Smiley great effort, coding has commenced.

I will be back shortly to answer a few more questions and answer a few more PM's.

DAG with zk-SNARKs looks very promising. But can you rely only on donations to fund development? Are you planning to work on this on your own?

That's correct ill be working on the project just on my own - and yes  i do believe i can sustain development and rely on purely on donations, i don't wish to do an ICO/crowdsale, as i do not need to raise the level of funds being raised on recent crowdsales, it's too much responsibility, regardless i will deliver a working product.

How to get some stone?

Sorry Stone is not available just yet, if you wish to help, you may donate for a potential future share in Stone.

Is there a timeframe from which we can expect a working product?

Have you considered doing a normal fork distribution? Ie: Holders of Raiblocks recieve an equivalent number of stone?

Hi All,

Long time lurker, had to create an account so I could post. Love the concept, name, and idea.

two questions for @felixando:

1) While I think it's great that you are doing it all on your own, will there be a structure in place after the two months where a) the open source code through git can be worked on by others who believe in the project b) community members who want to participate non-technically?

2) you said 'I always finish a project'. When do you think this might be 'finished'? Do you see this as a long term project or a short term project. Something you'll work on and stop? Or something you will build and grow over time if it gains momentum/success/community support?

I've rarely seen a solo dev go at it alone all the way. Curious if you plan on bringing on people from the community for support when/if the project grows.

Also... very interested in donating to your project while we sort out the airdrop. On vaca but should be able to send a few your way in the meantime. Would like to be part of this airdrop or however we determine we want to disseminate.

I am also also very good at branding and happy to help there when the time comes to make a site/communicate etc and bringing attention. I run a community of over 500 cryptocurrency traders and might like to share this with them if everything aligns.

You should make a telegram/slack if you haven't already. This can build a community around the project and help with efforts. Also for updates and news announcements.

What's the github repo for this? Not yet?

My suggestion: build a shared lib (CLI) and let the community write wallet GUIs. I'd love to do this given I can get ahold of some stake in the project.

I am extremely interested in this project and look forward to the updates. Hopefully we see a fair initial distribution with a reasonable coincap.

DD time

How much development experience do you have?

What languages and libraries will you use to build it?

I cannot see this project being much of a success without smart contracts.  Do you have a plan to add this functionality?

As I understand it, zcash had an elaborate ceremony for their genesis block to prove they weren't utilizing the extreme anonymity of zksnark transactions to issue themselves invisible coins.

Will similar precautions be necessary during the launch of Stone?

I think they could simply use the same parameters from Zcash. For example, this was what KOMODO did (which also uses zksnarks) and did not need to setup a new "ceremony".

Thanks for the info. Funny, I sold some bitcoindark recently because I didn't have time to read up on what the swap was about. But now that bitcoindark to komodo swap is making more sense.

I have a vague idea that you can do a ceremony on top of their ceremony to make it more secure (basically, if at least one ceremony is done properly, it's safe) but I can't yet work out the math.

Any telegram, slack, discord for this?  Would love to keep an eye on it.  Also, information on donations for potential stake would be appreciated.
