STOP this botnet off-top. Few pages back owner of this monster explained whats what. No reason not to belive him. ================================================================= It's our mining factory, in China, we have about 2000m/s, and another 2000m/s is being set up. Today in middlecoin, It's lower profit then mining LTC. From 2012-01-06 2:30am to 18:30pm, my address add 2.6312 BTC(Immature+Unexchanged+Balance)= 85.4286 LTC (@ 0.03078 LTC/BTC) If we mining LTC, It will get 89.5052 LTC (we count each shares, and calc to LTC, so it's exact) about 4.5% lower then mining LTC. -_-b But today is special, 1、BTC price rise, yesterday middlecoin has about 50 BTC Immature+Unexchanged altcoin, If it change today, we get less BTC. 2、LTC price rise about 20%, and many altcoins price no move or even down. and middlecoin is so big that can't all mining in one altcoin, so a part of middlecoin mining LTC, and It reduce profit. (Remember 3% fee) middlecoin is hight profit in the last month (thanks h20, your are the best), but h20 can't control the price of BTC LTC and altcoin. So please stop attacks h20. If you do not like middlecoin, please leave, then smaller middlecoin will have better profit. Can I make a suggestion for h20? If the pool day profit is lower then mining LTC, reduce 3% fee may be better, Put the bad day's fee back if some day profit is more then 3%. My partner does not agree with me to continue mining in middlecoin. But I think middlecoin profit will get better. So this address will keep at about 500m/s. Maybe stop if profit still lower then LTC. Good Luck to h20 and everyone.

Not liking the excessive unexchanged total at all. I hope this amount will not be used to bump up totals for the low payout days, something like a buffer to play with.
Looks like some just got manually traded, but we've had days where we've had a lot more than 100 unexchanged BTC. H2o, this is your full time job, can you start treating it as one by replying to more of the questions people have in the thread. You said you spend over 40 hours a week working on middlecoin, spend atleast 1 of those talking to the members of your pool.

For all you unexchanged whiners out there ....
This is how the pool works. For some coins it will take a few days to get exchanged. Live with it or LEAVE
Unexchanged will even go DOWN without being exchanged. This often happens when the price goes DOWN on the market. This is something you will have to live with or LEAVE

Maybe, the faq could be made into a wiki? Then others can update it when new insights come up in this mega-thread.
I did this ... here it is: http://middlecoin.kobal.org ... anyone who is willing to contribute just pm me and I'll assign you a wiki account.

the asia.middlecoin server is working great for me. the actual hash rate showing up on my cgwatcher is the same with what appears on the website with only having 0.0093 rejected hash rate. i hope i will get a good payout tomorrow. btw, thanks for the hardwork h20! it's nice that you made multiple servers!

I do think I'll leave next week when I get home to my rigs if things are still going this way. The pool is now too big to be really profitable... It's simple math to realize profit switching pools like this one only give good gains up to a certain size relative to total hashpower in the system.
Why people are so touchy in here I don't quite understand. H2O is like an absent stepparent in the main discussionf orum concerning his goose with golden eggs. Nobody here should have a reason to be in love with this pool when it is not more profitable than straight up mining a large altcoin. On the other hand, while the herd is on middlecoin it means that there is room to make more money elsewhere so by all means, continue.

The guy with 575 mh/s can not be a botnet. Then his rejection would be much higher.

You know this is middle coin rite??? And ofc this is better since we are all on here. 2250KH can be looked up on the site because there is no one right answer, just a load of averages.

Just a quick one, I'm building this rig at the moment and it'll have 4GB of ram... I read that's plenty enough for LTC mining but would a multi-coin switching pool like middlecoin require more ram for any reason? Haven't been able to find anything specific. I was under the impression Scrypt mining isn't ram intensive so it shouldn't matter?

Scrypt mining is Scrypt mining. All the coins should roughly be the same, so what works for LTC will work for the rest. So 4GB of ram should be enuff but its fairly cheap stuff once u r mining so would be hard to buy another 4gb and stick it in latter to give u comfort that u r doing the best you can.

I am not really sure if it was related to RAM, however when i compared my 2 mining rigs (same GPU's , same config, same cgminer version, same AMD CATA and SDK , different MoBo , different RAM) they get almost the same hash rate but the one with higher RAM hash a bit higher (5 - 8kh/s more and more stable) and have a lesser rejection and no hardware errors. On the rig with lower RAM, i get very few (not that noticeable) hardware errors (around 6HW and 10 rejected out of 1800 accepted shares). EDIT: I am using Asus R9 280x DC2 TOP version 1, I am getting around 780kh/s for each card.

Actually, RAM does become important once you start to go over a certain amount of GPUs in your rig. You may have to lower you TC to compensate. The cgminer error you'll get could be "Error -5: Enqueueing kernel onto command queue." and one or more of your GPUs wil be disabled. For example, 7x7950 with 8GB ram and a TC of 24000 gives me the error whereas it was working with 6x7950. Lowering TC to 22400 fixed it and had little to no effect on my hashrate. I have no idea why that is though, as memory usage is < 2GB once cgminer does get to work.
