A new SCAM Miner, ScarletRose, has been brought to daylight!

Tucksmcgucks posted a link to a new gpu miner eleven hours ago,
Its improper behavior was noticed quite soon by other members.
I digged a bit futher into it and this is what I found.

1. Libsnd is a email tool.
2. Qminer gets detected as a backdoor
3. You can give it any username/password combo you want, it doesn't care of authenticity
4. Fake stats
  1) No gpu usage at all, cards power consumption same as in idle
  2) qcore uses cpu to mine something, or just to cover it's steps, but the shown khash/s doesn't correlate in any way to either cpu, gpu or integrated gpu speed.
5. Libsnd starts to send data to a russian email server (smtp.yandex.ru)

So if you've run this, on a machine with a wallets, I suggest you to move coins away from your current wallets!
Your coinmine passwords are compromised too, so change them as soon as the site comes back.
Some have fallen to this, atleast the account shown in miner window, if it's legit, has gotten some balance to it :/
http://176.221.46.81/address/QWu8maYVxDAmLG9VUyq7kdRQXLP8jksTNM

So I advice you all to avoid it, atleast the rghost linked version, like a plague.
If anyone has anything good to say about this ScarletRose miner, please stand up!

Does anyone know of any Quark faucets out there? I'm hoping to add one to my faucets site so more people can experiment w/ Quark.

2nd render. I'm just gonna keep going with this till I strike awesomeness! Cheesy
Suggestions/ideas are very much welcome.

You should never use religious symbolism in a logo ^^

That will destroy QRK, remove it from the forum. Seriously.

More than 50% of people who buy those cryptos aren't even Christians.

When You mix religion and money, you can make money, but not in this case.

It's a good marketing for the future tho, after we hit 1 buck per QRK.

PS: Not saying that isn't nice.

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

Hah. To me it looks like all the broken currencies are paying their respects to the dead Quark. Not sure if that's what you were going for.  Wink

Hehe...it should be a funeral for the dead currencies. But I can see what you mean.

People are somehow offended by the cross, so maybe you would care to edit your post? Smiley

I like your 3d renderings a lot.

I have a suggestion for a new one:

The quarks are like the aliens of "war of the worlds" (tripods)...

And they have finally started the war against all fiat currencies...

http://www.thebuzzmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/war-of-the-worlds-xbla-psn-title.jpg

What do you think?

It would be better if the other currencies where on the cross and QRK coin was the winner, with that light above : )

But, none got offended about the cross. The point is the marketing right now. People can talk shit and so on

Made a few changes: 24 Million to 21 Million Bitcoins, also added the 6 Hashing Functions, if you notice anything else incorrect or something needs to be added let me know. Once the new logo and slogan are chosen, I'll add those to the graphic. Smiley
