Tell me about it.  You should have seen Mabsark on the AM thread for weeks with this kind of nonsense.  It was really annoying.  Especially since he doesn't apply the same competition metric to LC.  And since he doesn't I can only assume that he was disingenuous.

I can't speak for him, obviously, but I think his point was that competition was a real threat to AM's lofty valuation at the time. AM's margins were almost certain to fall, followed by its share price, when it was no longer the only game in town.

In the case of LC, the share price is relatively low, so competition is less of an issue right now. Even if LC captures a very small portion of the network, the shares have room to grow. The risk with LC now isn't competition, it is that it's a total failure... any other outcome should provide at least a small return, with the possibility for a 10x payday.

So, considered in the short term, I don't think his arguments are logically inconsistent. In the long term, it seems like one guess is as good as another.

I find it really sad that people believe that "this is a great investment" or "this is a horrible investment" is true for everyone else on Earth because it doesn't fit their own ideal. There are a number of highly respected posters on this board (and loathed ones, too) who are of the mindset that their opinion is the only one that matters... but it's logically unsound to project a subjective decision onto others.

Everyone has different goals and methods. What's good for you may not be for someone else, and vice versa. Keep this in mind when you guys talk in absolute terms.

You call it "nonsense" because it went against the circlejerk of "10 BTC" and "to the moon...", yet it turned out to be right. How is that "nonsense"? And I do apply that same logic to Labcoin. It's just that Labcoin isn't extremely overvalued and benefiting from a monopoly. Labcoin's situation is pretty much the polar opposite of AM's.

Well currently Labcoin is overvalued because it has yet to produce anything.  Mind you, I'm an investor also so I don't believe this will be the case for very much longer.  But the idea that this could go up in value 10x is putting the cart before the horse.

A note to the Swede you should have a section in thr OP where post latest update, delete old ones and replace with new updates instead of posting in the thread and it getting lost. Also a twitter account wouldn't hurt.

Status update: We have received the first chip batch and we're working full speed on finalizing the controller board design, mining will start no later than 10 September with about 3-4 TH, and to reach the full speed within October. Dividend payments will start on the same week.We again remind everyone that the team shares won't be sold. We understand the investors concerns and we will be publishing pictures of the installment as soon as we are able to, before mining will start.

That is because so many people lost their asses with the panic sell due to TheSwede's comment. They can't get back in to buy. The Labcoin shares were centralized into fewer hands and they can now manipulate the price much easier.

Now they have the shares going back down to sub .0027 - its market manipulation.
