Investing in one coin is very risky. If this is not bitcoin. I think that you must learn to manage risks. This is very important in crypto.

Unlike investment on Bank though it is sure to bloom but your income is only limited.
When you invest on crypto, your income can be x5, x100, x100, x150 or a major lost, so one strategy is to out your money on different coins to ensure win situations.

altcoin has a proportion to always focus on coin variables that are constantly evolving. it aims to maximize profits and minimize losses not too long, I prefer to buy 10 coins with the largest volume for a more even analysis, I would be stuck if only pegged with only 1 altcoin.

This is extra risky . Even if you hold only in top alts like Ethereum , Ripple, it is required to add something else in order to difersify your portfolio.
Look at privacy coins like monero, Verge. I bet they will grow this year

Normally i would say it is much better to have 2-3 coins but the amount you are talking about is too little to split and make profit from it. If you want to make money with it you need to find a coin with a potential of 10x-50x. It is hard to find a that kind of coin in top 50 coins. You should focus on new and high potential coins instead. If you can pick the right project that $500 can easily be 20k.

I find it true that small investors do not go too far. The more coin you have, the less you will have to pay for the stock market and reduce the gain you have earned. I think you are the right way Smiley

Time will tell you when it will be risky. But, I do not think you need hold just a 1 token, you can create portfolio a small amount of tokens and it is better. You should hold ETH, LTC, XRP.

Just imagine if that altcoin will go down, then definitely you have no other choice to make except to wait when will it comeback or increased. The advantage about this is that you are only thinking of one coin but the disadvantage is you only have one option to choose. $500 is already a good start to invest and it's better to at least divide it into 5 so that there will be more possibilities that you can actually make.
Great choice, I would also split them into 100$ and invest on 5 altcoins.

Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks
if you invest all your money in just 1 Altcoins, you will never know what will happen next time. And also investing on 1 project is too risky.
I think You should learn something about money management before you invest. This will help you a lot.

You can not invest in one coin even if it seems to you that it will go up. This is a big risk. I think that you need to diversify the risks.

Hello, my personal advice, for reference only. The risk of investing in a currency is relatively too great. You should consider choosing between 3 and 5 currencies with some potential to distribute your investment evenly.

It is indeed a very risky investment but if you really want to take risk, then risk on bitcoin because it's the most stable and dominant crypto in cryptoworld. You can have a long term investment for about 3-5 years and you will get super big profit on that time.

It is not risky if you know what you are doing, if you put all your money in only one altcoin, and you do not know a shit about that, then the best thing that you can do is just to diversify your entire budget to re-distribute your possible losses.

I found this relevant to your question.

It only takes one great investment, held for a very long time, to change your family's destiny forever. Great fortunes aren't built from risking everything on a single stock that triples in a year. They more frequently arise from decades of holding ownership in extremely profitable firms that generate ever-growing earnings.
A great rule of investment is always built a diverse portfolio, never put all your investment in one stock or coin. A diverse portfolio minimizes the risk. I would not suggest any specific tokens for investment (as I leave that as part of your research), there are many indicators that can help you picking coins for investment like the project idea, make cap, no of coins in circulation etc. Your money is result of your hard work, take special care of it before investing it in any token.

I think that it is worth the risk if you are putting your money on a low cap coin that might be promising.

I do not think like many other people that i saw on this thread, there are a lot of coins that are more than promising and can give you a huge return if you know in where to put your money.

Yes, I think it's too risky for you. You do not know if the project is real or not, and whether the project you choose will be able to give you a big advantage with your investment there. Because in my opinion, if you put all the money you have in just one project, the potential for you to lose money will be enormous.
Better you allocate the money you have for investing in more than one project, so you also open up opportunities for yourself can get many benefits in some projects.

But if they are potential coin, they will get a high profit margin. Everything has two sides of them, but choosing the way he seems to be more risky. So distributing capital in many tokens will reduce the risk of investment.

Actually diversification in investing is very important. However, if you have been optimistic about the future of altcoin that you hold. Means you are ready to face any risk that will happen, as well as achieve wealth from the investment itself.

Try to invest atleast 2 to 3 altcoins. Firstly you have to study their platform to make sure that investing in that coins will benefit you in long term and also in short term investments. Remember to buy at lowest price to get more coins and hodl it until you make huge profits.

Majority of the users have suggested for a diversified investment plan, whether it is altcoins or something else similar to investment schemes doesn't matter. Because, if the asset on which we have made our investment goes down we cannot avoid the loss, same if diversified user can try to compensate with one another.
