All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky?

Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Distributing the risk with investing more than one coin is adviced. But if you want to double your investment fast with a coin you trust, then you can go on like that.

It is too risky because most of the alt-coin right now could go down and we don't really know how long it could stay down or if some of them could really recover,
So for me it is really risky to put all your money in just 1 alt-coin or 1 investment.

According to me the coins of 2018 would be ICON (ICX). Here are my reasons to recommend this coin. ICON is an interchain blockchain that connects various blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Qtum. First, ICX is used as an intermediary cryptocurrency.

2018 is going to the year of decentralized exchanges (DEX) and ICX has a lot to contribute fir this. This can be in category of ETH and NEO.

There's a famous saying, don't put all the eggs in one basket. In this respect, investing in at least two or three different coins can reduce your risk. It is best to invest in litecoin  NEO and Eos currencies.These are good for small investors.Now the market prices are down.So you can buy them now.I think there will be more profit if I wait two or three months.

It depends on the altcoin you are going to buy if it has a good future or it is a good project. But for me i would rather buy another altcoin or you should divide it into 3 or 4. atleast you can earn from other altcoin because we don't know when will the price of altcoin pumps and dump. Keeping the whole money in a coin is very risky in this market because there are so many fluctuations that can negatively affect the coin you invest. Lol, it is his money and all he want is to know whether his action is appropriate. IMHO it is a gamble but i don't say it is wrong since he could hit the jackpot if that coin would value 10x his buying price. You would get more profit if you will take the risk here in crypto.
