I am very confident in the digital money market. For me to invest I need to prepare very well about knowledge, experience, monitoring and analysis of the market. I usually invest long term and see as an asset to hoard in trusting currencies like BTC, ETH about 65% of capital. Some other currencies are for short term only 35%.

Both can get you profits but they have some difference short term can give you a lot of profits if you know what you are doing because short term is pretty risky and the long them is not very risky because all you just need to do is hodl it unlike with short term you need to check time to time

In my opinion long term and short term both of them are okey there is always a profit but in the long term i think much more profit rather than short term. For example if you holding some bitcoin a year ago and now the value of bitcoin is much higher there is a big return for you.

I don't see in the long term or short term. I see the fluctuations of the coin to decide. I will show you sampling.
I will hold that coin if it is BTC, ETH or XRP. Day Trading with IOTA, LTC, NEO,...

Their is possible to earn more gain if you choose a long term. But if you want a short term their a possibilities that make your profit become double. Get some idea of those doing this like a investors.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

Currently 100% of my portfolio is quality alts that i plan to hold longterm (for years). At the future i am planing to add more alts that are higher risk but i will invest way less funds on them.

Short term trading is not very profitable because you only earn 10% to 100%.  long-term trading is the best and the safest investment in crypto market because you will never miss the opportunities if you hold promising coins.

Last year i did short-term invest and i got lot of profit in cryptocurrency market. But 3Q of last year altcoins and bitcoin market has been get down and all investors sold some valuble coins in lowest price with loss. That is a nature of short-term investment. but i still holding my altcoins since 2016. I think longterm investment is best and low risk. I recommended following coins for longterms
1. Eth
2. Waves
3. Ltc
4. Etc
5. Ark
6. Steem
7. Xrp
8. Xmr

I would prefer long term trading. It is much less risky whan short term trading, also most coins will definitely grow this year, so if you buy them and hold, they will give a profit.

It all depends on your investment strategy. I keep 80% of the cryptocurrencies in my portfolio for more than 1 year, only during this time you can earn really good money.

I prefer long term.If you are investing in any coin of crypto so will have to wait for long term then you can get a much profit from crypto in future. But the short term investment is not a good choice in crypto.

Those who are engaged in investing in cryptocurrency for several years understand that the most profitable long-term hold coins. That did not happen in the market should not panic as everything happens cyclically and after the fall, growth always follows.

I advise you to go more into short-term deals and trading. Trading is as relevant as ever I think. The market has changed and it is necessary to adapt to it.

I mostly prefer day trading because in that case you can get more profit than keeping coins for half a year or even longer.

I have been holding longterm all my coins since I started investing and it's painful that the bear season caught me unawares. I will like to be doing some short to medium term from now on.

Actually it depends on your needs, if you are interested on using cryptocurrency for living then the best thing to do is hold a coin that will give you profit for just a short term other wise invest on a coin that is good for long term.
