Can ETH reach BTC value ?

Just wondering if ETH can

Ethereum can do really great things and can bring good profits in the future. I always want that a coin will be a good competitor of bitcoin, but for the near future, I think it is not possible for ethereum to catch bitcoin's price.

ETH will not reach the significance of BTC if there is another coin that will replace it. In my opinion ETH can replace bankor.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different creations. They do not focus on the same market applications. But, there's a chance that Ethereum will reach or surpass bitcoin's value. Because the value of cryptocurrency is not bound to any external economical tool. ETH offers more than a decentralized trust-less currency providing additional value for smart contracts. Understanding its potential will make ETH higher than BTC.

Yes, I found it surprising the other day in chat when almost everyone was an ETH supporter, but none of them actually realized that Ethereum was not really built as a cryptocurrency, whereas Bitcoin was. Of course in reality they can be very similar. I know Ethereum has so much potential with dAPPs but the most that the majority of projects out there use Ethereum for is just to create tokens on it,,, which you can actually do with Bitcoin too if you wanted.

The only app I ever saw actually using smart contracts and used by lots of people was the game Cryptokitties

Yes, It totally passes over the Bitcoin price. Because ERC20 is one of the best platforms for altcoins growth. So, in long term, if Bitcoin cant improve its weaknesses, ETH will reach its price. Slowly but surely enough and people would then choose between bitcoin and ethereum onto which blockchains they would most prefer to use.

Of course no. Bitcoin is the biggest coin in the world. Thousands investors invest in it likes an asset. They wont give up until they get profit. ETH is not the same.

Mat be  it could but I don't think it will for at least 5 years and that is because BTC has a huge advantage over ETH already. Unless Bitcoin Core messes up in a big way ETH won't overtake it and even then I wouldn't put ay real confidence in this happening, i think EHT can reach BTC NEXT FEW YEARS

Nothing is impossible in the theory. And also think about it, when bitcoin just appeared nobody would think that reaches thousands of dollars a coin but it could reach. so that means everything can happen in the market, as you say it can take long time.

Possibility of Ethereum catching bitcoin in value is very low. I think bitcoin will keep on being the number one crypto untill the end of time. Alt coins are supposed to make bitcoin more efficient with projects that support it. They are not meant to overtake it.

Very impossible, the success of bitcoin is already far from eth that is why it is not possible.

While the gap between btc and alt coins is getting closer, I still doubt that any of them would surpass the popularity that bitcoin has.

Yes. I believe that Ethereum can reach the value of bitcoin but not now. Maybe in the future. I am sure we will be happy if it is happen.

it could be because eth is now in second position so it's not impossible if ETH can catch bitcoin, it is very difficult now because the price is much different, where ETH $ 700 and BTC is at the price of $ 14000, but we do not know in the future how, from my own predictions ETH could have been BTC can even be much more than BTC.

Of course this is what everyone who invests in ethereum wants, but in reality I don't see it happen.

Yes, literary not happen. But, I have moved my portfolio into ETH for now. As, ETH seems to be on a better year forward. Its true, BTC is losing its dominance daily. Obviously, this isn’t necessarily a permanent thing. Just a move for now and I will see what happens.

Every coin can reach the Bitcoin's price, and I hope that we will see some altcoins which have prices like bitcoin's. Ethereum have a good potential, but bitcoin is still the king of the cryptocurrencies, and it seem like that will continue for a while.

With cryptocurrency anything could be possible. For the same one such example is the ongoing price increase that took place with ripple and the same has made ripple come next to bitcoin. We cannot say there is no possibility, everything depends on the real time usage leading to market changes.

Why not? If Bitcoin reached the top on where it is now. Why can't Etherium, right? There is also a huge possibility for etherium and other altcoins to even overcome the price of bitcoin. But when that happens, still bitcoin will be on the top, they will just be underneath.

Bitcoin is synonym of cryptocurrency. I don’t think that there is any other digital currency that could be named more popular and widespreaded than Bitcoin. Even Ethereum far less recognizable and its price couldn’t reach the same price as Bitcoin has.

I believe Ethereum can once reach the bitcoin value, but this will be a slow process and the result will be more permanent than the bitcoin had.
