Only time can tell but for me i think eth cannot reach what bitcoin had achieved, for all we know when bitcoin dips altcoins also dips.

I think it could have been the case. ethereum is a nice coin and needs to be controlled because it potentially will have a fantastic price let alone this year.

It's a big yes! For me, ETH can reach BTC value because as of now, ETH have a good team and good projects. ETH is better especially in long term, there's a time that ETH value overrun the BTC value. It is possible because many of us choose ETH but I am not Saying that all people hate bitcoin. People wants ETH because the transaction of money is so fast than other crypto currency. And we all know that ETH is the second position in all currency and ETH are closely with the BTC that's why there's a possible to reach the BTC value in long run.
I think that will never happen. Bitcoin has outlived ETH and Bitcoin is a very powerful coin. There will not be any altcoins that can replace Bitcoin. Although it's convenient, it's fast and the transaction fee is cheap, but it's never going to be as good as Bitcoin. You only talk about the benefits of the crypto market, not to mention the market benefits that Bitcoin and ETH bring. I think Bitcoin brings a lot of profit from many sources, not just in the crypto market. Anything can happen in this crypto world. I think ETH can reach BTC value because as of now, as we can see ETH have a good team and good projects. ETH is better especially in long term investment, so it is possible that ETH can reach BTC value. As we can see ETH and BTC is so similar in terms of transacting money, so it is not impossible that ETH cant reach BTC value. It definitely can, the only question will be when? BTc reach it's ATH too way fast, it may be slower for ETH but it will came to that point soon. Maybe faster than expected. |

What do you mean by saying ethereum needs to be controlled? Just like bitcoin, ethereum should not be controlled by anyone or organization. |

I don' think it can be, in few months bitcoin will be 25-30k dollar again, and ethereum can be 2-3k dollar, I don't think it can catch btc's value in five six years. But maybe another coin can pass the btc's value at the future.

Well it can be, but how can you convince the masses about ETH being more valuable than BTC? I mean it can do much more, ETH creater a platform, you can do ICOs with it etc.
So in the long run, it can happen. Maybe it even should. BTC is slow and expensive, plenty of great investors saying it does not have a future, and its a great problem that the masses who know nothing about cryptos thinks the following: crypto market=BTC. If would take its place, it might provide a better opinion for the whole crypto market.

The total ethereum marketcap value can match bitcoins. the price will never be equal though considering eth has a much higher supply.

There won't be another one really, if this is ethereum that sounds good but another one shouldn't surpass bitcoin's place. I mean ethereum is the only one deserves this from heart. |

You're right, as of this very moment by comparing their performance on this year it's impossible to reach the value of BTC over ETH. Actually, maybe the subject will be "Can ETH reach the BTH". As of this very moment ETH have a long way to run to reach bitcoin since the send dominat crypto currency is bitcoin cash that easily reach the ethereum for just less than one year and as of this now it's still pumping that almost reach up to $1,500. |

I am the one who hold the eth, I think eth has a chance to glide higher but I think eth will only reach 0.25 btc by the end of this year but this is only my estimation, how according to the senior ?
If 1 eth=0.25 btc, the marketcap of eth will surpass btc. It will be a milestone for eth and cryptocurrency as a whole. That is true. It is quite difficult to reach. It is better for ETH to be on parity with Bitcoin Cash first. |

I do not think one day ETH will reach the value of BTC. ETC might reach the current value of BTC but at that point of time BTC will be twice the price. ETH is the best altcoin, there is no doubt about it but BTC is the base of all crypto currencies.

How it possible? I think there are no possibility to eth will be reached in BTC price.BTC just better than gold & it will be touched few million dollars after 5 years.I am fan of both but aslo ETH will be highest increased 3000$-4000$ in this year. |

Yes eth can equal to bitcoin. it is possible to reach the value of bitcoin in future because no one can say the value of a digital currency. before the value of bitcoin to dollar is 1 bitcoin is equal to 1 dollar but now you know how much it is today so eth can reach the value of bitcoin in future.

Answer of this question is different from what it was a year ago. Last year i would say no alt coin can ever reach bitcoin's value but now things have changed. Bitcoin looks more fragile than ever and ethereum managed to stay strong compared to other coins during recent crash. It still looks really hard but ethereum will be much more serious opponent for bitcoin's first place.
