yes the ethereum itself can reach the bitcoin value but i would not say that it can reach for short term because these two coins is being used on different platform so they can exceed other with the same platform

Very good question.i think it should be possible.i hope onw day eth wil cross the btc.There are many reason that's why i am telling you this sentence.the blockchain technology used into both ETH and BTC and they have their own blockchain.But ETH transaction is very fast than the btc And transaction fees of ETH is very less than the btc.And nowdyas btc transaction fees increaseed too much so people sell or convert the btc into ETH.so i think  die to this two features of ETH,it will cross the btc in future.

it is impossible for now that the ethereum surpasses the bitcoin. because bitcoin have a very expensive and very high price.it is 12 times if you compare it to the ethereum. even though the price of ethereum is stable and now it has a good performance on the industry i doubt about it. the price of bitcoin now is 12,000$ while the ethereum is 1,200$ you see the big difference in terms of price.

It is interesting what is happening in recent days. Ethereum is going up and it is already way beyond the magic number 1000$ while bitcoin is basically standing still. I really think this year ETH will narrow the gap between BTC and ETH.

It will really take years for Ethereum value to reach Bitcoin value because the gap is so much that more development will be done on the Ethereum blockchain to make it significant for it to push up the value.

You mean the almost 20k value? Because Bitcoin has no actual set value, a year ago was around 1k and then it was close to 20k in less than a year and now back to half of that...

Just looking at the graph as of this writing, it is quite a long run for ETH before it can even get closer to Bitcoin's value. Maybe in the years to come, ETH will somehow reach that value but BTC will surely be more expensive than before.
