The market of crypto currencies is so unpredictable that you can expect any incredible things. In my opinion, in 2018 the ethereum will grow faster than bitcoin. But the probability that ethereum overtake bitcoin is small enough.  |

Yes ETH can reach BTC's value but not in the near future,ethereum and btc shares problems like poor transaction confirmation speed,congested network and small blocksize.
Its true that eth can be reach btc in time to time cause we all don't know the tomorrow comes for it if it will be good or not but maybe there's a lot of potential that eth will be more valuable and reaches btc value. As we user uses eth for one of the most commonly used in converting alt coins into eth so that it can go through in trading site. |

I think this year Ethereum can fully achieve the value of bitcoin in the current time it is over 10k USD. I saw Ethereum's analogy at this point and bitcoin just over a year ago, when the bitcoin was worth about $ 1k and by the end of its peak year it was $ 20k. I think that Ethereum can achieve this because the community supports it so much and the ICO projects developed on the ERC20 platform will help ETH grow steadily.

It will be higher than the value of the number 1 listed company. Is that possible? I'd say yes, but not in a short time. Blockchain is a disruptive technology. There will be trillion dollar company based on it. |

I believe ETH would be higher in price in the future.. maybe $3-4k in the end of this year,, and ofcourse we can hope for more than $10k like BTC... But I think when that time comes, BTC price will be higher too.. BTC is the mother of all crypto,, and I think BTC price will be the highest among all coins ~ |

Maybe, but eth needs a lot of time to reach bitcoins price as of today. $20k is too hard for eth to reach and besides bitcoin reign is not over im sure there will be another ATH on bitcoins price this year.

Nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency. ETH is soaring high since december and as we can see bitcoin dipped for past weeks but eth is standing still. Most altcoins are using ETH as their platform and regarding the value it may take time for us to see 1eth = 1btc. But for me whatever the value is we have to support this industry and support all of them to ensure that this business will still be unstoppable in the next years or decades.

In theory it could but I don't think it will for at least 5 years and that is because BTC has a huge advantage over ETH already. Unless Bitcoin Core messes up in a big way ETH won't overtake it and even then I wouldn't put ay real confidence in this happening, it is highly unlikely in my opinion.
ethereum platform is doing great,mostly uses by ico this means popularity of this coin is known wider the same thing that the transaction and fees are very user acceptable..bitcoin is slowing down for the couple of weeks.maybe becaue of the blockchain issues.if this the situation maybe in 5-10 years bitcoin will be overtaken by ethereum. |

Eth is a very popular coin next to Bitcoin, but will it surpass or let alone reach Bitcoin's value or price? I'm not really sure that will happen unless Bitcoin messes up bigtime allowing other coins to close-in and take the lead.

can be, within five years it seems the bitcoin would begin, whether it's replaceable by other altcoin or ethereum. This happens because many investors are also moving both switches to altcoin from in the bitcoin.

In my opinion, ethereum will not be able to overtake bitcoin. At least not this year. Bitcoin has too many followers who will support it in any case.

I think as of now is not because bitcoin real value price is much higher than the eth value.maybe that two was the highest of all cryptocurrency but not Eth can surpass bitcoin as of now.That two really makes as unbelievable coins but it's true that they inspired us a lot. |

Bitcoin will never be overtaken by ethereum, I know ethereum is really a great project but I cannot agree that ethereum can surpass bitcoin, they have different use. But sometimes something unexpected.. it can be happened, some things that can affect which's we do not realize it, it could have made the Eth increasingly moving closer to a bitcoin price as time goes by. Maybe Eth one day will reach at the current Btc price, but Btc will be higher than the current price, I think the both are have almost the same price movements steps. |

I am of the opinion that anything can happen and that ETH could someday reach BTC's value. Considering the fact that ETH has a different platform that operates differently from BTC, kind of gives it an edge. It can also be said that ETH may experience some certain challenges associated with BTC at the moment when it also gets to that height.

Definitely, ETH value will reach as Bitcoin today. But, you need to wait another 3 years. Maybe surpasses the BTC value as ETH has highly demanded today by the token creators. Also, investors prefer to invest in ETH for the long term.
