Gonna be finally powering on my D8P tonight. Im testing an over-the-counter available in stock sodimm module. It is supposedly rated for 1.2V, so I dont expect problems with it; but then again, people have said the D8P can be picky. Ill post results late tonight when I leave my parents house for home. https://imgur.com/a/PWc98

Ill post results late tonight when I leave my parents house for home. https://imgur.com/a/PWc98Good luck Went off without a hitch. powered up right away and went into BIOS. I don't have a cooler for the CPU quite yet, so I just set my TEC (Thermoelectric cooler) on it without any paste... just a heatsync, and gravity. BIOS HW monitor showed 15*c.... I used the built in DVI plug to test on the first boot. To power it I used a pico PSU thats around ~250W. it's CPU power 12v wires barely reached (when stretched through the heatsync fins) and also barely reached the closest molex for slot 1/2. So; Good news on all fronts; I finally have tested my board, as well as shown a good part number and SODIMM to compare for other compatible units.

I know some of you don't like the hassle of the AMD GPUs... But I must say my two rigs of RX 570's are still going strong today, mining ETH+Blake2s and have earned their cost many times over since April.
Now that stock is back in those GPUs (albeit at a higher price), I was wondering if it would be a good idea to build a couple more rigs... or if the reliance on ETH (and the risk of it going PoS) is getting too hot to handle...
At around $350, those GPUs are still a lot of bang for the buck compared to anything nVidia currently. Sure, one would have to flash the vbios, but today, these low-timing vbioses are widely available and support for multi-GPU is a lot better than it was early last year. It would be a formality to set up.

I could see them doing well if 350 or less.

That's pretty much my sweet spot. Under $350 shipped is an insta-buy.

Will do ~1600 cryptonight (hot!) Less than 200w (not hot!) No nVidia algo is super profitable atm Cons vs 1080ti: 2x more risers 2x more slots 2x more cables 2x the licenses 2x the potential issues

We were able to get a pair of Rx 580 4gb GPUs for about $320 each. This price includes an 8% ebay Bucks code. I can't justify paying the price that most are charging for them but at $320 I thought it was a fair deal.
They should arrive tomorrow and join 6 Rx 480 8gb GPUs in our new Octominer riser free motherboard. The RAM for it should get here tomorrow as well so we will finally have all the parts needed to start testing.

2x the licenses
licenses for what exactly? Every machine we run Win10 w/0 activation, it's not needed, at all.

This being said, it's still very hard to find any under $350 (At least here in Europe - you might be luckier across the pond).

Anyone still running Vegas?
Cryptonight difficulty on Nicehash seems pretty high now so profitability has dropped off quite a bit since in the last couple months.
I have 2x56 and 1x64, but have just sold the 64 for £710 (~$1000). While the prices are jacked I'm going to try and offload them.

Have you checked out HiveOS?
I'm playing with it now. Got one test rig going. Setup very easy once you realize that "wallet" is really a lot more than that. Only issue I have is I can't figure out what telemetry port HiveOS is using for dstm. (I'd like to monitor the rig in Awesome Miner as well for right now) First impression is very positive!

Yep, those are the ones I use! Really like the small size that prevents "accidents" as you say.

Yup, still have my 6x 56@64 rig mining Cryptonight. Makes approx $22/day before electricity costs. Not what it used to yield but still chugging strong. If it does keep going down I still have the option of mining something else. Vegas might not be as strong in other algos, but then again they're still no slouches.

I have it down to such a quick workflow it does not factor into my decisions. Takes about 1-2 mins per card. Anyone still running Vegas?

Yeah mine are still running strong. They bring in decent money, no need to sell IMO.

Hey is anyone else having issues with income just vanishing on nicehash? awesome miner has been pointing my rigs to nicehash for equihash a lot over the last few days, especially the titan V's and record the account balance everynight on spreadsheet when i add my daily mined earnings to exchange for 10+% earnings on the days earnings... i am having amounts vanish over the past week, small amounts dropping in btc...
example...
2/18 i had 0.24881002btc in internal wallet 2/19 i had 0.24798801btc in internal wallet, rigs show records of mining to nicehash part of the day...
then back on 2/14 i had 0.78004001btc in internal wallet, then 2/15 i had 0.78003455btc with no record of mining to nicehash that day.

Anyone has an idea about how to be sure of the memory brand from a AMD RX card ? I may have a wrong bios flashed in mine, and I don't know how to check which kind of memory the card really is. Does gpu-z show the real memory brand ? or does it show the memory of the flashed bios ??

gpu-z or physically looking on the chip at the PCB of the GPU. if you don't trust, then re-flash with your original bios and check again.
