No, they were being dicks about discounts even on large orders. I tried!

That's a lot of power supplies JJiimimimmmm .  You should probably look at the dps-2000bb supplies, I got a ton of them on ebay for 20-30$ each. 2000 watts solid per unit. Simple wiring.

deploying seasonic 750's and corsair 860's for each 2 ants.  SS 750G doing about 760watts on 220 OC ant at 400 freq

edit:  not as power efficient as cointerra.... but they will be hashing long before cointerra sends me my units

you could power the whole thing on 20 power supplies and some nice wiring!

Better buy an extra 10 PSUs.  Wouldn't want to be out a TH because a PSU went belly up.

True, I've got a stack of extras myself. I haven't looked lately, but you can get them in bulk sometimes. Not that I've had one fail yet.

Have you managed some fan control?  I don't know how well I could stand living around those server grade PSU fans  Cheesy

They don't have fans built in, well the ones I use don't. I've got four fans strapped to each stack of two psus. I also have a warehouse, so the noise isn't an issue.

I am about done with a "cointerra-monitor".  It remotely monitors the status of the cgminer on the Cointerra.  Remote = Nothing to install on your cointerra machine.

1)  Every minute it checks the status of 1 cointerra.
2)  If any of the ASIC arent alive it marks a error count
3)  If the cgminer isnt running it marks an error count
4)  If error count gets above a configurable value it will
   - copy the cgminer.log file from the cointerra
   - email the user
   - reboot the cointerra
5)  If there are any successes above it will reset the error counter

Its python based so you can run on any OS you want.

I was thinking of doing more fancy stuff with the log file, cgminer RPC port statuses, Windows.exe + Service but sometimes K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid) is best.

Of course, free and open source.  If you want to be notified when it is done PM me and I will send you a link to it else I will just post it on this page.  It should be finished by next weekend.  You know, day job slows things down.  Smiley

willphase Thanks for photo. Could you tell at what speed the unit is hashing? As i understood from cointerra updates the speed is below from declared earlier.

I got a message saying an order has been moved from ”Processing” to  “Preparing for Shipment,” whatever that means. No tracking number.

If I recall correctly, the order date doesn't matter, payment date does. I think I'm somewhere in the middle-to-end of the December queue. For all I know, “Preparing for Shipment" will lead to "Shipping Imminent" then to "Shipping in next 'few' days". That is, I do not know what the definition of “Preparing for Shipment" is. Cointerra might be able to help us out here.

It means they have discussed the possibility of shipping your order.  Cross your fingers I guess?

Here is the public link to my hash rate for my Cointerra.

Please keep in mind the long 0 hash rate is because I mine ALT coins when I am near the machine and have time to watch the market and mine low value ALT coins.

So...it's apparently on it's way, except I'm not sure someone can be at home when this thing arrives.  I'm assuming they're gonna require a damned signature on this beast and not just leave a $14000 box sitting on my doorstep.  Then again the USPS left all my Single SCs sitting around last time.

You can get computer power cords with NEMA 6 plugs, which is the norm for 240v appliances. They're not common in residences in north america, but not that uncommon commercially.
You need to ask the electrician what kind of receptacle he is installing because there are different heads for 20AMP and 30AMP.    You can buy power bars (PDUs) that have different heads too.

Thanks for the tips.  I ended up getting a couple PDUs similar to what you linked. (one for the new cointerras and one for all the rest of my miners as well).

For anyone else in the U.S. who is contemplating adding 240V circuits to handle CoinTerra devices, I documented all of the details of what I bought and what asked the electrician to do here:
