Here, we promised you 2th, but our 1.6 th unit is what you get. That's all folks, maybe in the future firmware will make it better. Oh, and it uses more power than one circuit in your house can provide. Not one outlet, btw. One circuit. So you get to have extension cords draped between rooms.

What are they talking about with a 1th barrier? There has never been a barrier. The machine doesn't have one bit 2000W chip pumping out over 1th, it's just like everyone else, lots of modules.

So sick of reading more lies. KNC did it right, promise 400, ship 700.

I feel bad for you cointerra customers. If you need to get rid of them cheap because you can't power them, I'll buy them. I've got lots of cheap power.   (jk chill already!!)

I thought it was Underwriter Labs...whoo boy..hope it is not UL that (I don't know this but have heard so don't kill the messenger) that it can take MONTHS

such options on not shipping power supplies was the reason given (again not sure if it matters or is legit..just the messenger) that KNC does NOT ship their units with power supplies

anyway others in this field with more knowledge then myself can weigh in here

the above is just 'chatter' that i've been told on forums when I inquired why KNC did not ship with power supplies internationally etc

feel free to slap me down ..i just post this because its what scuttlebutt has passed by my way from the summer when i got the KNC ordered

the irony is that they do the UL testing so they wont get sued..  but if they take too long they will get sued for other reasons

You might as well just ordered some antminer/bitfury and started mining 3 months ago, by the time the difficulty gets to the level where watt/gh difference would matter materially between cointerra and the 55nm, the boxes will be all obsolete anyway. And you would mined a lot more bitcoins with the 55nm if started 3 months ago, instead giving cointerra a 0% interest loan while they did the dog and pony show.

Thats really shit. such loss in GH and with 20% more power usage...

I have 4 Terras ordered so they should just send me one extra miner and it would be already ok. then it would be what i ordered. only thing that i would have then 5*2100= 10,5 kW/h instead of 4*1600=6,4 kW/h. mhhh... just 60% more...
o top comes more than one month delay, so it´s just loss of several tens of k$.

which leaves a big question, how can we be sure that the designs out there really meets the specifications? in other words, what if the chips are 55-65nm instead of 28nm, if bitfury 55nm proved to be so efficient it makes me wonder about the other chips.....

It's not just cost of power, it's cost of cooling, cost of backup power, cost of UPS and generators, cost of power distribution units, cost of power lines, availability of power lines to your facility, etc. that at least doubles the cost of power, so now you're looking at more like $2K a year per unit, if you own many units this is significant.

Can it be run off your Dryer or Stove plug in they should be 30-40 amp at 220 volt >6000 watts. problem is then you need a sub panel etc. But the power supply's can be 240 or 120 volts.
You can not just plug in extension cords as they could be on the other phase, easy check with volt meter. (dead short i think)

This is what happens when you deal with people who are from India or Pakistan.  They over hype anything they're trying to sell and under deliver on products.  That was the main reason why I knew this would fail and it has.  I was right about it from the start.  The only people who suffer is the ones who paid money to this clown and I don't feel sorry for you.  Next time do some research on the people you're dealing with before you invest in something.
