Ripple looks very promising and especially after the recent price spike which has made it become the second most valuable cryptocurrency after Bitcoin.

Yea 2018 is a good opportunity to grow for altcoins, some of them are doing great eg. ethereum, ripple etc but there is always that chance that many altcoins will fail to grow. So choose altcoins that seem to be having a good potential for growth in the long term.

I totally agree with your statement. Not all altcoin will make it to 2018 and year is not a basis if the coin will go to moon or not. It is in the hand of the manipulators.

If you look at https://coinmarketcap.com/ the second position in the world of cryptocurrency is Ethereum not a Ripple. In my mind, Ethereum is proper in the second place be compared in Ripple. I like both altcoins, because I'm sure by the next months have the potential price will be high.

But in some rumours what I know, Ripple is a bank, not a real cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency has a decentralized system while the Bank has a centralized system. Well, I just support Ethereum for the second top in the world of cryptocurrency. But for an investment, I choose both.

XRP is already back to the 3rd position in the market,the coinbase fud was ended few days back so its not really a big thing for the alts.
Almost every year first quarter always months for the alts.

It's obvious, because people realized that altcoins are in many ways better than Bitcoin. The growth rate of altcoins is also better. That's why in 2018 more and more people will prefer Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano, IOTA instead of Bitcoin.

2017 was great, we all hope and expect 2018 will be better. So far the Alts are preforming really well and if we keep this speed of growing only the sky is the limit.
